The NeighborhoodUdabno (Kakheti) is a village on the border with Azerbaijan, on the way from Tbilisi to David Gareja, one of the most popular tourist spots in Georgia. A surrounding steppe makes it an exceptional place with unforgettable views. Currently it has approximately 400 inhabitants who are renowned for producing one of the best varieties of cheese in eastern Georgia. Tourists cross the village every day during a season period, heading to the monastery of David Gareji. Getting AroundThere is a marshrutka heading to Tbilisi or David Gareja. It crosses Oasis twice a day. Other Things to NoteYou can take the marshrutka from Freedom Square that goes straight to David Gareja (on the way you can ask the driver to stop at Oasis Club although usually they do anyhow). From April to October there are regular courses twice a day from Freedom Square to David Gareji. You can also go to Sagarejo and from there go by taxi (20 lari to Udabno).
