The SpaceThis is truly a piece of paradise on earth. Here you can just relax and enjoy the landscape and tranquility, far away from your normal busy life. It is right on the lake Öljaren. You will have access to your own little deck right in front of the water. Guest AccessYou will have your own little guesthouse consisting of one bedroom with a double bed and a view of the lake. There is a small living room upstairs with a TV. Downstairs there is a small living room/eating area with a sofa bed and a kitchenette and a fireplace. There is also a bathroom and shower and a sauna.
You will have your own outside area/deck right on the water with a garden table and chairs. There is a tiny, tiny beach and you can also enter the water for a swim from the dock. Diving is forbidden!! It is not deep and there may be rocks.
There is a private pool of the family that may be used upon request.
Interaction with GuestsA small B&B run by a Swedish family, now living in the heart of the Swedish countryside, but with a past in the cosmopolitan New York. The father, a hardworking lawyer, the mother, a banker and a homemaker with a passion for interior design, two girls; age 18 and 16 and a boy age 13, two dogs, four cats, two goats, three ducks and a bunch of chicken. We will serve a hearty "country breakfast", including freshly baked bread and eggs from our own chicken. We love meeting new people and are happy to give you information about the area. The NeighborhoodDuring summertime you can enjoy our own private beach, go for a swim or go fishing. There are several beautiful paths and hiking trails in the beautiful forrest which you can enjoy by foot, bike or horse back riding. "Riding track Sörmland", which consists of almost 500 km of winding riding tracks, goes right through the beautiful Julita., (URL HIDDEN) Take a biking trip around the lake Öljaren and pass through old villages.
Getting AroundIt is only 30 minutes from Katrineholm, which in turn is an hour away by train from Stockholm. The easiest way to travel here though is by car. You park the car on our parking outside the big red barn. For directions go to (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps and search for Gimgöl, Kårtorp 643 98 Julita. From our farm you can visit the very interesting and beautiful castle and museum, Julita Gård, situated on the same lake, Öljaren, a few kilometres away. For further information see (URL HIDDEN) and then press Julita Gård. Julita Wärdshus is an Inn, run by Tommy Myllimäki, "Chef of the year 2007" in Sweden. If you go a few kilometres the other way, you will reach Fiskeboda. Fiskeboda has a small harbour on Lake Hjälmaren, which is the 4th largest lake in Sweden, a camp site and a nice beach.
There are several antique/craft shops in the area and almost every week-end there is a local country auction in Julita.
