The SpaceBe my guest! Please make yourself at home as if it were your own. Typically I am not here to greet you. I travel all over the world and love to share my home with others in my absence. A wonderful family manages my property. They live across the road. Check in time is flexible after 3pm. For small children it is recommend you bring 1-2 baby gates. There is a Roku internet TV upstairs and downstairs, house phone (calls to Canada and US) and wireless internet are free. We have the Adamant Co-op right down the road, which sells local homemade baked goods, fresh farm vegetables, great selection of wine and basic essentials. Also included are two porches, gas grill and hammock all on 3 acres. Our Vermont log home is located only, a few minutes from Morse Farm and Cross Country ski trails, endless hiking trails, 20 minutes to Waterbury's Ben & Jerry's, Hunger Mountain, Camels Hump, 8 minutes from downtown Montpelier, 45 mins from Burlington (Lake Champlain), Shelburne Farms, Von Trapp Family Lodge, 45 mins to Sugarbush and 45 mins Stowe. Wonderful snow shoeing and cross country trails at Morse Farms only a few miles away and the home is located less than a mile from the quaint town of Adamant. All seasons you can hear the duck pond and wildlife refuge, which you hear all through the day and early evening. Located on a country dirt road the home is private and makes a perfect getaway. Close to wonderful large, swimming and boating ponds and incredible biking and running on back roads. Since July 2013 the home has undergone wonderful upgrades, thanks to Airbnb guests! When you stay here, you are truly paying it forward with the restoration of this beautiful 1975 log home! A Special Note: Please be sure to have a full profile, 1-2 references and photo. The SpaceMy home is on 51 acres of property. There are walking trails in the woods right outside the door. You can paddle on the pond. You can borrow bikes and bike the country roads. My house is unique, with the Great Room built off the main house, so you are secluded but close to the common areas. Guest AccessYou will have access to the middle floor of the main house with a bathroom and shared, well-equipped kitchen and dining area. In summertime eating and hanging out in the screen porch and on the spacious decks offers lots of variety. You can also eat in the kitchen or right in the great room. There are several entrances to the house; you have your own private entrance to the great room in spring, summer and fall. Interaction with GuestsI work long hours but am available by phone, email and text throughout the day. I sleep on the top floor of the main house with my own bathroom, and my son has a private space with his own bathroom on the bottom floor when he is home. The NeighborhoodI live on the edge of the East Montpelier Town Forest with the village of Adamant on the other side of the forest. Adamant has a quaint country co-op and a small music school which holds classical concerts in the summer. Local eggs, beef, and syrup are sold right down the street. Swimming is close by and Morse Farm XC ski trails are 2 miles away. Getting AroundMy home is 5 miles from downtown Montpelier, about a ten minute drive. The route from town is almost entirely paved, with 1/8 mile of gravel road at the end. There is ample parking at my house. Other Things to NoteThe stairs up to the loft are slightly narrow and steep, and the loft has a low ceiling (five feet high) so if you are physically challenged that could be a problem. Most people do not have an issue. I have two cats and a dog. The cats will stay out of the great room (unless you invite them in). The dog stays outside in the yard almost all the time. I am happy to answer any other questions regarding the space or anything related to your stay.
