The SpaceThe apartment is more than just a place to stay, its the sort of place that will make your stay in Nicosia more memorable.
Its bright, with open spaces and a spacious, decked terrace offers up spectacular views of the Kyrenia mountain range.
The living room has three huge double glazed windows which can slide into the walls. This opens up the space even more by connecting the indoor with the outdoor.
The building itself was built in 1975. The flat underwent a full renovation to make the most of the larger spaces that these older apartments tend to offer.
Enjoy breakfast in the sunshine, an al-fresco barbeque or nights with a glass of wine watching the sun go down.
It has windows which face north, east, south and west making it easy to adjust the light or catch the breeze. The apartment tends to keep cool in the summer months and relatively warm in the winter.
You can get to the beginning of the the walled old city within a 20 minute walk, the center of the old city is a 30 minute walk or a 5 minute drive or cycle. [N.B. this is how long it personally takes me to get to the old city from the apartment, some guests get there sooner while others get there later than that].
If you would like some food shopping done, that can be arranged, so when you walk in you can just start enjoying the apartment and Nicosia straight away. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the whole apartment and all its facilities / modern conveniences. These include:

The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood of Ayios Andreas in Nicosia, formally known as Tophane, is tranquil and contains some of the oldest, largest and most beautiful houses in the capital. The neighborhood is well serviced and most things can be found within a few minutes walk from the apartment.
Ayios Andreas is one of Nicosia's 24 historic neighborhoods that can be found within the walls. In 1923 it was extended to encompass an area outside the walls.
Ayios Andreas was a prestigious neighborhood, where Turkish, Greek and Armenian Cypriots used to coexist together with the Latins. In Turkish Tophane literally means "the cannon’s house" or "arsenal", and the house (called "Castelliotissa"), which the area derived its name from, can still be found in the neighborhood. In September 1945, the Ottoman name of the Tophane neighborhood was changed into Ayios Andreas.
Castelliotissa, which is near the Paphos Gate, was originally a part of the second Royal Palace of the French Lusignan royal dynasty of Cyprus. It was later used as a munitions storage by the Ottomans and that is when the area received the name of Tophane. It continued as a storage site during the period of British rule.
After 1960, there were no Turkish Cypriots living in the neighborhood and the last Turkish name, that of Tophane Mesdjidi Street, where mainly Turkish Cypriots resided, was changed into Granikou Street sometime after 1963. Getting AroundThere is bus stop within a 2 minute walk from the apartment that can take you to the city center / the old city in a few minutes.
