There are no shops fuel or alcohol outlets once you leave Chinchilla, so it is essential that you bring enough food and supplies for your stay.

The NeighborhoodWe all have 40 acres.. so neighbours we do not see.. however we all know each other and respect each other... :) Getting Around Public transport is very limited in this area.. The Spacethe house is often filled with local travelers or guests working in the local area usually surfers or kiteboarders. So there is usually someone in the house to chat with and find out the local information. The house is large with share facilities. can easily accommodate 10-12 guests but we always limit it at 8 max. It is walking distance from everything, ... quick walk to the beach & the shop so you dont even need to use your car. Guest Accessthe 70 sqm is where most of the time is spent, on the chill out space with bresilian hammocks and chairs, coffee lounge, and dinner table. An outdoor music sound system is set up, cable tv upstairs and downstairs, wifi fast internet, real large kitchen fully equipped with 3 fridges and one large freezer, brand new italian style bathroom equipped with 2 showers, and 2 separated toilet upstairs, and a 2 bdr appartment with shower toilet, lounge downstairs. We are equipped with an outdoor washing machine, and and outdoor shower in the middle of the tropical garden, as well as a fire pit in the tropical garden and bamboo forest. Interaction with GuestsWe proud ourselves to interact a lot with our guest to indicate them the best way and tips to make there stay in the area a success. We run a Kitesurfing school as well ... and most of our guest want to give it a go ... most of them become addicted ! We ofter organise 4WD trips and camping experiences in the 2 National parks. The NeighborhoodWe have one of the most amazing climate in QLD with in average 300 days of sunshine a year, a temperature that does not go down 20 in winter and not over 35 in summer ... the water temperature is just perfect and picture perfect. We do not have crowded beaches and even if there is too many people for you ... there are tonnes of other remote beaches where you will find yourself alone if it is your desire. The Southern Great barrier reef is 1.5 h away, and not as exploited as the northern part. Great surfing all year long as well as kitesurfing and SUPing, kayaking. A lots of beautiful national park with 4WD tracks is a must visit ... enjoy and chill !! Getting AroundThis it the beauty of our KiteSurf 1770 Beach House ... you can really access everything by feet ... if you want to go to 1770 we can organize that as it is only 6 km away, most of bars and restaurants have a courtesy bus and will pick you up & drop you back home. The closest airport is bundaberg and Gladstone or you can arrive by train in Miriam Vale. We can come and pick you up for a fair fee. If you come by car we can definitely accommodate your vehicule on the drive way and there is some pretty secure spots in front of the house too ! Other Things to NoteThe all house is surrounded by beautiful palm trees and bamboos which (for such a central location) make this place looking like you are a little bit like in the jungle

The Airport is only about 5mins away. Laundromat is about 5km away. Getting AroundBus stop is around 200m away. Other Things to NoteGladstone is a great stepping stone for tourists who wish to visit Heron Island. Or enjoy the local attractions of Barney Point Beach, Boyne Island/ Tannum Sands, The Marina Parks, Art Gallery and Museum, Botanic Gardens and much more.

The SpaceCome stay with us in the quiet town of Tannum Sands. We have two large double rooms available in our lovely renovated 4 bedroom/2 bathroom home,almost complete. We are in the old part of Tannum Sands, just 20 minutes from Gladstone and only a 3 minute stroll to the beach. All the attractions of Gladstone and the wider region are easily accessible from our place. Ours is a large and colourful backyard garden, attracting many birds and butterflies. Our garden consists of fruit trees (Limes,Lequart, Banana and Paw Paw), complemented by our productive vege patches. A very relaxing place to be, at any time. We have a great back deck to sit and watch the birds, read or just relax. The guest bedrooms and guest bathroom are secluded i.e at the other end of the house but near to the living area and kitchen. Listen to the ocean sounds from home, we are sure you will enjoy your stay whether it is for a night or for a week or two ! You are within walking distance to everything and buses run several times a day.You can even borrow our bicycles should you get the urge for physical activity. Note: We both work, so check in most week days has to be after 5:00PM unless we have day off. The massive front deck is great for entertaining or just lounging around taking in the views of the beach and ocean. Sunrise @ 1770 is the award winning eco-sustainable estate where 97% of the original site is dedicated to nature reserve. Resort style facilities include 3 swimming pools, 4 tennis courts, BBQ cabanas, children's playground and direct access to some of Queensland's best beaches. Privacy in Sunrise at 1770 is assured by security gated entrances and on site managers who take care of all the community facilities. Where kangaroos and wallabies roam in the garden. My house is not a 5 star hotel, it is my home where I live from time to time. I can offer what I have, wich is 2 bed rooms with queen size beds and a 3rd bedroom with 2 sofa beds suitable for kid's. I enjoy my house and look after it. I expect my guest to do the same. The SpaceYour cabin has a queen size bed with your own en-suite bathroom. Your cabin is a great retreat for two; however the sofa is also a sofa bed, so the cabin can accommodate up to four. You have cooking facilities inside and a BBQ out on the deck next to the Billabong. Wi Fi is available. Also small reading library. There is a ceiling fan for your comfort. Your stay in the cabin can be as private as you like (so long as you don’t mind the kangaroos, the birds and the fish in the billabong). Your hosts, Mac and Gaynor, will always be available for a chat and a beer on the deck or round the fire pit area nearby that you can cook on if you want to try it. A light breakfast is supplied and, if you like, you can even collect your own eggs to go with Gaynor’s home baked bread and preserves. And while you are wandering around, check out the fruit trees and pick fresh stuff from our big veggie patch. If you would like to know more about the history of the area, Gaynor and Mac have tons of info for you, including some local knowledge of bush tucker, and Mac can even show you how to fish and play the didgeridoo. You can swim and surf all year round at our main beach . There is a permanent life guard and it is only a 6 minute drive from your cabin. Golf course, National Parks and lots of walking tracks are also close by. 1770 is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. It is a great favourite with our guests and it is a once in a lifetime experience. So, to be able to do your reef trip and have time to unwind from your travels and spend time in our fabulous area, we suggest you book with us for a minimum of 3 nights. Another reason is that if your reef trip is cancelled due to weather conditions on the day you book it, you can re-schedule for the next day. Guest AccessAll our garden area and bush tracks are available to our guests with lots of info on wildlife, flora and fauna. Wi Fi is available in the cabin. Laundry facilities are available, just ask. Interaction with GuestsTotal privacy is yours if you want it, or Mac and Gaynor are there for you for info, help or just a chat. (Scuppers the dog is very friendly, but please don’t spoil him too much). The NeighborhoodSelf contained cabin with total privacy and yet only minutes to Agnes Water Township with shops, beaches, golf course and the historic Town of 1770 just up the road. Getting AroundThere is no public transport other than one taxi, so your own transport is definitely advisable. However, if you arrive by Greyhound coach, we will be happy to pick you up from the Agnes Water depot and help you to get around. Most pubs and restaurants have a courtesy bus(URL HIDDEN)

It is air-conditioned with a fully equipped kitchen and modern furniture. There is plenty of off-street parking available including space for a boat. It is just a short walk to the beach, shops, pub and esplanade parklands and cycle tracks. Interaction with GuestsThere's every chance you won't see us at all, as entry is via a keysafe with a PIN. If your stay is longer than a week, cleaner Kim will visit to give the house a light clean and replace your sheets and towels. Otherwise make yourself at home. The NeighborhoodThe property is in the area know as 'Old Tannum', as it is on the hill above the beach and was the first area developed (because it was the best location)! The last decade has seen the beginnings of modernisation so you can find original beach shacks alongside apartments and new homes. Newly developed on the beach corner of Pacific Avenue just 200m walk from the property, is a small shopping precinct which includes tapas bar and restaurant, smoothie bar, homewares and fashion house, beauty salon and fish and chip shop. 200m in the other direction is the Coles shopping centre, chemist, pub and food outlets including Subway, KFC, Eagle Boys, Coffee Club and BITS Curry House. However Tannum has not yet lost its sleepy village nature. We especially recommend a morning stroll to the newsagency to pick up the paper and call into the bespoke bakery, butcher or fruit shop that each have their own unique Tannum flavour. On the way home pick up a coffee from the insanely popular Say Espresso Bar. The family-friendly beach is patrolled during the warmer months and school holidays. The mouth of Wild Cattle Creek is popular with kite-surfers and they can be seen riding the waves off the main beach most weekends. The adventurous (and tide-savvy) can walk across the creek to explore Wild Cattle Island National Park at low tide - just make sure you cross back before the creek fills! On the first Saturday evening of each month (Mar-Dec) there are over 90 market stalls and live music on the beach. Also accessible from the esplanade parklands is more than 20km of cycle or walking track along Wild Cattle Creek, Tannum Beach and the Boyne River. For those who love fishing, there is a boat ramp just 1km away at Wild Cattle Creek and plenty of space to park your boat undercover at the property. Kayaking on the Boyne River is also popular. At the end of a busy day, enjoy the air-conditioning at your spacious beach house or sit outside and catch the sea breezes while you cook up a feed on the barbie. Getting AroundWalking distance to pretty much anywhere in you will want to go in Tannum. Gladstone is around 25min by car. Other Things to NoteIf you have a large group it may be possible for us to make available a second semi-detached and self-contained unit with a further 3 bedrooms. The SpaceUnit 6 Loka Santi, is a spacious well presented apartment with all necessities provided and set up to accommodate 6 persons, whether you are a family or individuals wanting to enjoy the pleasure of the Sun & Surf or Relaxing at the Beach or by the Pool, there is a wonderful sense of not having to rush to anywhere. Guest AccessSwimming Pool is a shared area. The Unit has it's own BBQ on the outdoor balcony. Two bay car-parking and lift access to our beautiful second level apartment. Beach access is only meters from the apartment complex, where the view never ends, and the water and sand beckon. Many varied cafe's and restaurants from Agnes Water to the lovely Township of 1770. Interaction with GuestsWe will only have interaction with guests if there is a problem with the unit that can not be easily rectified. We have provided contact numbers for such times. The NeighborhoodAgnes Water and the Seventeen Seventy area is truly beautiful and relaxing, our Unit is well situated between both townships within walking distance to shops, cafes and restaurants and most importantly the "Beach" there are Reef Trips for snorkelling/diving and fishing activities plus surfing lessons or for non water activities, try 'Scooteroos'- mini motorbikes-golf-lawn bowls-hiking and bike rides. Getting AroundThere is courtesy bus service provided by the local Tavern, there is bicycle hire in Agnes Water township and a local taxi service. there is a 2 bay underground parking provided to our guests, with lift for access to our unit.

The SpaceYour room has a comfortable queen size bed, a private bathroom, ceiling fan for warm nights and plenty of storage and hanging space. It is an ideal room for a couple or single person. There is also another bedroom available with a double bed should you be traveling with one or two extra people. Your stay can be as private or as congenial as you wish. Both myself and my partner Chrystine lead busy lives, but there will usually be someone close at hand to chat with and to help you enjoy your stay. IMPORTANT NOTE FOR REEF TRAVELLERS Thanks to the good people at Lady Musgrave Cruises, we have easy travel to the Great Barrier Reef from The Town of 1770 (10mins drive from our property). Many of our AIRBNB guests book this reef adventure and all have an amazing experience and fantastic day exploring what the reef has to offer. Having snorkeled this area ourselves we always recommend the trip. HOWEVER, we also suggest booking with us for a minimum of 3 nights if your schedule will permit if you are doing a reef trip. The first reason for doing this is that most of our guests reach us late in the afternoon after a long drive and there is little chance or inclination for sight seeing. The next day you'll be off to the reef, (booking ahead strongly advised), which is a full day with little chance of fitting anything else in. And after your second night, you'll likely be wanting to continue your travels early the next day, leaving no time and possibly missing a once in a lifetime opportunity to explore our fabulous area! Another important reason for booking an additional night is that the trip to the reef is occasionally cancelled due to ocean conditions. If you're booked in for an extra night, you will have the option of rescheduling your trip for the next day and won't have to miss out on your reef experience. 50% of our "2 night guests" choose to extend, which we are pleased to do if the room is not booked, but we have had to disappoint several people at busy times. Anyway, to get the most out of your trip to Agnes / 1770, please consider our comments above and stay an extra night or two if you can. ADVENTURES AT YOUR DOORSTEP! As our guests, we have some very special holiday adventures to offers for you for a minimal cost cost, (starting at just $55). 1. 4WD adventure into the nearby National Park to explore deserted tracks and beaches. 2. A private stand up paddle board lesson and session for 1, 2 or 3 people on the beautiful ocean waters of Round Hill Creek at The Town of 1770. 3. The third choice is pretty special. Take a two hour private photography tutorial with Carl, a professional photographer, to develop your own photographic skills! (Carl has many private students and the cost for this is normally $160.) 4. A guided drive/walk tour of the best features and attractions of Agnes Water and the Town of 1770, finishing at the Wharf Cafe for coffee and cake! So perhaps a longer stay might be worth considering as there's so much to see and do in Agnes Water and The Town of 1770, whilst enjoying the best climate Australia can offer! There is bush walking on the acreage so bring good shoes and your camera as there's plenty of wildlife in the area. There is also a home theatre with a massive DVD collection! The NeighborhoodAgnes Water and The Town of 1770 are Queensland's best kept secret. Boasting Australia's best climate with 300 days of sunshine a year and daytime temperatures of 22-32C year round. Agnes has the most northerly surfing beaches on the east coast of Australia, giving us consistent surf with water warmer than Noosa! And, all without crowds! The Great Barrier Reef is a 90 min boat ride away and the townships of both Agnes Water and Town of 1770 are surrounded by beautiful National Parks. We are fortunate enough to enjoy the solitude of living on a country acreage whilst being minutes only from uncrowded beaches and a small township. Agnes Water now boasts a brand new supermarket (opened Oct 14, 2014), so there are now many more choices of produce and goods. Getting AroundParking There is undercover parking on our property but if you want to leave your car behind or you have no transport, there are bicycles here for you to use at no charge. If you arrive without a vehicle and are not keen on cycling, dropping you into town or at the beach is usually no problem. Vehicle hire is locally available too. Transport If you're flying into Bundaberg (the most convenient commercial airport to Agnes Water), we can arrange free transfers on Thursdays and Fridays. For other days there is bus transport available or simply take the train to Miriam Vale and we'll pick you up! Public Transport There is no public transport in the area apart from a taxi service, so it'll be much more convenient for you if you have your own transport. However if you do arrive without a vehicle, we're happy to pick you up from your bus transport which arrives in Agnes Water at 7pm each day. We can usually get you to where you want to go most days as we're only minutes from all area attractions. We also have bicycles for you to use (free of charge) to explore the area, so you can take a leisurely peddle to the beach and township, (about 15 mins by bike). Other Things to NoteAs well as the private double room for 1 or 2, up to 3 additional guests can be accommodated in the house if you have a larger group of people. There is also plenty of space for additional guests to park a caravan, (power available), or pitch a tent.

Other Things to NoteThere is access at the back of the property to keep extra cars or boats. The Driveway from Captain Cook Drive is steep, but you come up to a high carport and a turn around area to drive down the driveway.

A fireplace, barbeque and small sandpit are features of the enclosed child and pet friendly garden. Year round safe swimming is available in the large, spring fed dam that lays 50 metres from your front door. A concrete boatramp 500 metres from the house provides easy launching into the river, opening some of the best fishing along Baffle Creek. The riverbank has an extensive mowed area for a variety of outdoor activities. Baffle Creek is part of the Gladstone Shire, the powerhouse of Queensland mining industry. Here at Baffle Creek we have a more laid back lifestyle, mainly concerned with relaxing. The creek is nearly pristine, with very little development on it. Fishing , crabbing and prawns are the major attraction here, though maybe just lazing about on the river might be your choice. You wont be bothered by any crowds while you do it either. Rules Beach is just 7 km down the river by boat, beautiful and practically deserted.

It is the perfect home away from home for corporate or holiday travelers and if you have a large group a second 3BR self-contained unit can be made available at the same address. Tannum Sands still has the hallmarks of a sleepy seaside village, but at the same time has all the facilities you want like Coles shopping centre, restaurants and take-aways. With a family-friendly surf beach manned by volunteer lifesavers, award winning parklands, over 20km of walk or biking tracks, excellent estuary, river and reef fishing there is plenty to do in Tannum Sands. This property is in the area know as 'Old Tannum', as it is on the hill above the beach and was the first area developed (because it was the best location)!                 CONCIERGE Our beach house accommodation is a two-storeyed loft house with plenty of room, very spacious and airy. It is built in the style of the American Cape Cod home with dormer windows protruding from the roof line and exposed beams adding to its character. Facing north, south there are always breezes blowing through cooling the bedrooms to a comfortable condition. Ceiling fans are also provided in all rooms including bedrooms. Large, wide verandahs on the eastern and the whole length of the northern end make it ideal for that relaxing glass of wine or dinner on the deck. The verandahs are also a perfect place to rest surfboards, boogy boards and fishing rods. Added to this is a sun deck off the main bedroom for sun tanning, relaxing and listening to the waves breaking on the beach. The interior of our house is attractive and modern with polished, blackbutt flooring and an open-plan downstairs. With three bedrooms upstairs and one down, there is plenty of room for one or two families. In fact our house can accommodate up to 8 or 9 people. Lots of our visitors say they bring extended family e.g. grandparents or meet up with friends / family coming from central or north Queensland for reunions. Holiday-makers will need to bring linen and towels. Everything else is provided, including pillows, blankets, bath mats and tea towels. Seachange Loft is fully self-contained with all the modern conveniences to make your stay a comfortable one. There are two refrigerators to cope with demand when two families stay over. One is a large 420 litre LG in the kitchen and the other is a 250 litre LG in the laundry. Both have freezers. There is a stove, microwave, washing machine, dryer, two colour televisions, DVD and AUSTAR with movies and the Fox Sports channels. Fancy watching a few movies commercial free? Well the Movie channels enable you access to the latest and best. Fox Sports channels give you the option of viewing your favourite football team live, including NRL, AFL and Soccer. And of course there’s Nickelodeon for the kids to keep them occupied. Also provided are all kitchen appliances, utensils, iron, ironing-board, heater, and extra pedestal fans. Two bathrooms, one up, one down make it the ideal retreat for families. A small bath for children is an added extra in the downstairs bathroom. Two very comfortable Queen beds ensure a good night’s sleep. There is one in the main bedroom upstairs and another downstairs. Other beds are 5 single beds, two in bedroom 2 and 3 in the middle bed room. All bedrooms are large with an uncluttered feel about them. In fact the main bedroom is 32 m2 with enough room to get lost in. There is usually space for different family members to do their thing, either reading a book, watching TV or playing cards or board games. Young adults like to gather around the island bench in the kitchen for drinks and nibblies and party on the verandahs. A wood-fired barbeque is located in the backyard with own floodlight and power. Most families will enjoy the experience of sitting around a fire sharing food, sipping a few drinks and toasting marshmallows. There is plenty of level parking for boats (many fishing groups book our house) or cars on the block around the back and space for the kids to have a game of touch footy or cricket. Located behind the house is Endeavour Plaza Shopping Centre. This is very handy to pick up the supplies at the IGA supermarket, butcher, deli or fish and chip shop. Also, there is a DVD/video shop with movies/games for the whole family.
