Villa Templeberg is built in the colonial style of a Dutch merchant house (c.1864). Each room has been lovingly restored and updated to modern standards. The beds in each room are larger than standard king size and the quality linen and mattresses have been custom/handmade.

Templeberg Villa and Templeberg bungalow are discreetly hidden on a working five acre coconut plantation, between emerald green paddy fields, water buffalo, pristine beaches and a 46 foot high Buddha statue.
While we're near the tourist track, it's hard to believe that these pieces of paradise are only four kilometres from the historic, UNESCO protected Galle Fort and the famous pure beaches of Talpe and Unawatuna – great for surfing, relaxation, water sports and swimming.

We're largely undiscovered having previously been a private residence. We offer several responsible tours that are opportunities for our guests to learn about our local surrounds, pick up a new skills such as Sri Lankan cooking or unwind and relax through massage.
We tailor Sri Lankan holiday packages to suit our guests needs. We can arrange day trips to Yala National Park, afternoon teas at nearby hotels in Galle or walks to the nearby rainforest.

We love being in a village that sells an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables. A favourite thing to do is take an early morning walk around the village.
We also like being in a tropical 5 acre jungle surrounded by swaying coconut trees.
Having good access roads like Akuressa Road make it convenient to get to Galle and the Beaches in 10 minutes.
Being on a hill we also attract cooling breezes and have shaded tree canopies. This is a great contrast to the concrete landscape of Galle city and the Fort which can get very hot and stuffy during the hotter months. Getting AroundConvenient Bus Route at end of road which takes guests in to Galle Main Bus Station. Multiple Buses around the island from the main station.
5 minutes walk to the bus stop on Akuressa Road. The bus to town costs $2USD and goes every 10 minutes. Templeberg also has 2 full time tuk tuk drivers on site. Galle Fort is only 10 minutes by tuk tuk and Unawatuna beach. The Southern Expressway bus stop is 1 km away and the bus takes you to Colombo.
