The SpaceThis is a rustic cabin that has been beautifully redone on the interior. 275 square feet of modern furnishings. There are 2 rooms. The first is a combination kitchen/living space, and the second a bedroom. Brazilian cherry flooring, new furniture and a nice kitchenette. There is one compact bathroom with a shower.Towels and bedding furnished. Thermostatically controlled Heat and A/C . Ceiling fans and sliding windows . Hairdryer, small Keureg,cookware, dishes, glassware, microwave, small fridge, and alarm clock available. Direct TV in bedroom. Very small seating area on front porch with bistro set. Parking is right next to cabin. This is a rural setting popular to boat,kayak, canoe, fish, hunt, hike, and to enjoy nature. Convenience/gas station (Rutters) is 15-20 minutes away on Rte. 74 N. We will provide you with some breakfast items and assorted teas /coffee stocked in the cabin. The NeighborhoodPublic campground is across the street,and the river is with in site of Cabin. Muddy Creek is nearby and is a great place to tube ,Kayak or ( inflatable kayak) on ,and does not require an advanced skill level. This is a very scenic stream well worth seeing. 1 and 2 person Kayaks are available to rent for a very reasonable price, with all equipment and shuttle service included . When I'm available ,and guest's are interested,I'm glad assist you on short hikes ,or short drives in the neighborhood. There are Trout fishing streams nearby, as well as good Deer ,Turkey and small game hunting from October through December.

The SpaceOutside of the relaxing space in the home, we own 25 surrounding wooded acres with pavilion located on the property. It has an outdoor firepit, pavilion with picnic table and space to even pitch some tents, should you desire. Location of the apartment is within 1 mile of Susquehanna river for water sports. Lots of nearby hiking along the river including tucquan glen nature preserve, Pinnacle overlook, Kelly's run, conestoga trail within 1 to 5 miles from trail heads. Recent addition to the area is the Atglen Susquehanna biking trail also within several miles. 25 minutes from downtown Lancaster. Guest AccessThere is a separate outdoor entrance at the back of the house with walkway down to patio under the deck. Glass sliding door on left is entrance into apartment. There is an outdoor charcoal grill and patio to relax on. Interaction with GuestsWe reside upstairs but will provide you with full privacy. We will be available to help assist in anyway during your stay, please don't hesitate to knock on front door should you have any questions. The NeighborhoodPequea is located 25 minutes from downtown Lancaster, PA, 30 minutes from Strasburg, PA. It is a peaceful, rural area that provides relaxation, yet offers many outdoor explorations nearby. Getting AroundNo public transportation in Pequea. Closest train station is in Lancaster which is approximately 30 minutes from our home. Other Things to NoteParking for one car is best at back corner by the garage. If more the one car, please park extra cars in circle out front of the house.

The SpaceThis is a recently renovated rustic cabin, tucked away in the heart of Lancaster County! Perfect for honeymooners, a weekend getaway/anniversary, small groups, small families. Includes one spacious master bedroom and a smaller bedroom with a trundle-pull-out bed. A quaint little bathroom (note: only a craw-foot vintage tub with a detachable shower nozzle) & a kitchen designed to resemble the early 1900's! You may expect to very quickly fall in love with the rippling creek that runs through the backyard & the rusticly romantic cabin atmosphere... (especially since cell service is a 5 minute drive away) Neighbors are sparse, and the Lancaster County shopping malls & Amish country are a scenic 30 minute drive away. The cabin is about an hour from where we are located, so you will receive complete instructions on how to unlock the cabin and close it up again. There is a land line phone at the cabin that can call make local calls, and can call our number if you have any questions.... What a beautifully unique place to relax and refocus! Please note: -No cell service or internet -We give you the code and you can check in and check out yourself. -Your security deposit will be returned if the cabin is found in the same condition, this being: nothing broken or damaged, nothing missing, nothing stained, etc. - Guest Access You have the joy of relaxing anywhere inside, outside on the back patio, by the fire-ring... Beautiful, waterfront home on the Susquehanna River, known as Lake Aldred. Private dock for you to bring your own boat (seasonal). Relax on the 600sf, covered cedar deck; featuring a wet bar, Weber propane grill, Flat panel TV with cable and barstool seating. Dining table, and additional seating for you to enjoy your meal as you watch an incredible sun, set over the lake in the front yard. Or, escape to the yard which includes a picnic table, Adirondack chairs and additional seating, surrounding a fire pit. Bring your binoculars because you're sure to see American Bald Eagles soaring overhead. There are 8 protected eagles nests on the lake! The private side deck features a 5 person hot tub and outdoor shower. This home has lots of history and character. Formerly a fishing lodge, it became the Pequea Tavern in the 70's. After several changes in ownership, the tavern was officially closed and renovated into an amazing home by a local contractor. The home features a spacious and open floor plan with 4000 sf of living space. The living room features a large stone, gas fireplace as well as a coal stove and plenty of room on the enormous couch to relax with friends and family. Bose stereo system has speakers inside, as well as outside on the deck and hot tub area. Easily connect your cell phone to steam Pandora or play playlist. Game closet with all of the favorites, like Pictionary and Scrabble, along with a wii game system. The dining room has incredible views of the lake from the front counter seating that lines the window line, or the dining room table. The table expands to seat 12 comfortably. The original bar from the tavern still resides (minor facelift) and can also seat another 5. The large kitchen is fully equipped with 2 full-sized refrigerators, dishwasher, gas stove, microwave, pots & pans, about everything you need. The first floor master bedroom features a king sized bed, view of the lake, a custom spa-shower, plenty of closet space and a flat panel w/ cable. Off the master is a full laundry room with washer & dryer. Back stairs from the 1st floor master leads to a semi-private "5th bonus bedroom" with a double bed and original restored wood floors (because this is not a private room, we chose to not list it in the room count). 2nd Floor: The second floor boasts a "2nd" master bedroom with king size bed, carpet, full bath, flat panel w/cable and a queen sized futon. Views of the lake from the window too! Full bath with shower is located in this room. Also on the 2nd floor is another full bathroom w/oversized shower/tub combo and custom tile. 3rd bedroom has a queen size memory mattress bed, original restored wood floors, vaulted ceiling, walk-in closet w/ twin roll-away bed and an amazing lake view. Flat panel w/HDMI cable to connect a laptop. 4th bedroom has a queen sized bed, exposed brick chimney, carpet, flat panel w/cable, walk-in closet w/a twin roll-away bed as well. Area: While Lancaster County is a great "get away from it all" place to go, the area is robust with attractions and things to do. - Outdoor Enthusiast: Hundreds of miles of trails for all levels of experience. Lancaster County is a go-to spot for hiking near the Susquehanna River. Great places to visit...Pinnacle Point, Holtwood Environmental Preserve, Shenks Ferry Wild Flower Preserve, Tucquan Glen Nature Preserve. Historians come from all over to see the Safe Harbor a few miles away. Rent or bring kayaks for an incredible experience. The home is nestled between the Safe Harbor Dam and the Holtwood a tour of these hydroelectric plants. Tube down the Pequea Creek during the summer months. - Area Attractions: Lancaster City is 25 miles away. Home to some of the largest shopping Outlet Centers (15 miles away) who enjoys shopping won't want to miss out. Hershey Park (39 miles away), tons of antique shops, Amish Farms, Dutch Wonderland (17 miles away), Jason's Woods Halloween Attraction (7 miles away), Sight & Sound Theater (15 miles away).

There are two living rooms, a games and TV area, dining room, gourmet kitchen, covered porch and in ground swimming pool. Every room looks out onto the farm with not a neighbor in sight. For those interested in history; our family is the second owners since Lord Baltimore and William Penn. The Cooper Family owned the farm for hundreds of years where it served as a plantation. While hiking the premises you will find the family cemetery, a slave cemetery, former slave quarters, and several barns and outbuildings on the property some of which date back to the 1700s.

Relax in this newly updated cottage, a cozy relaxing living room with all the comforts included; flat screen TV’s in both the living room and master bedroom. Stero with speakers outside too. Or on those cool evenings warm-up beside the coal stove. Fully equipped kitchen; side by side ref., dishwasher, microwave, blender, all the conveniences. Master bed room has beautiful views of the outdoors while relaxing in your queen size bed. The 2nd bedroom has a little twist to it with the full size bed elevated in a birds nest loft. Small 'A' frame with deck build on a 20' rock outcropping over looking Muddy Creek in Southern York County. Trout stream that is stocked a couple times a year. 100 yards down stream is fly fishing only area. Creek house is accessible by canoe. Put in is at Muddy Creek forks, home of Maryland and Pennsylvania railroad association. Two mile downstream paddle to creek house on class one water. To leave, you paddle from here downstream two miles to Woodbine bridge or 20 miles to the Susquehanna river. Creek house will sleep two in loft and two downstairs. No heat or AC. Has deck with table, chairs, and umbrella. No glass windows, only screen. Has electric and well water. Fire pit and hammocks. Must bring camping equipment, bed pads, sleeping bag, food, etc. From here it is a one to two day paddle to the Susquehanna river at Cold Cabin Road. 10 miles by straight line and 20 miles on the winding muddy creek. Bathroom has running water with toilet and sink and outdoor shower. Cabin is accessible by road, but is across private property, therefore canoe is the only access. Animals you will see are Grey Herons, beaver, otter, raccoons, possums, bald eagles, water snakes, black snakes, fox, coyote, turtles, etc. Fire pit for cooking. Coffee maker, small refrigerator, pots and pans for cooking, cups and utencils, paper towels.

*As of November 2016-January 2017 there will be light construction going on at the barn on the property which is about 50 yards away from the house. This shouldn't be a problem with your stay, but should be noted for you to decide. If there are any questions about this please feel free to contact the Property Manager* Our house at Muddy Creek is a beautifully restored stone home on 30+ acres with over 4,000 ft of the creek running through it. A private place for some peace and quite and to enjoy the outdoors with its natural beauty. As you walk through the front door of the house you will be greeted with a beautiful original walk in fireplace with a large solid hand hewn timber mantle and amazing red oak floors. There is a full kitchen with small eat in area. Washing machine on the main floor along with a half bath. The second floor also has an original fireplace in the family room with and oversized sofa (could be used for extra sleeping room), the main bedroom with queen size bed, full bath, and a small deck that goes out to the fenced in "dog run" for the furry family members to enjoy. The third floor is the attic (second bedroom) with all original white pine wood flooring and beams with two chair/beds. Enjoy our property to its full potential .. Spend the day fishing and hunting, kayaking, relaxing in our wooden chairs by the running creek, cooking out on the grill, inviting family and friends over for a get together in our barn, or by exploring the grounds with a peaceful hike. Our property also makes for a great place to do some outdoor camping! Set up the tents anywhere on the property and have peace of mind knowing you could always go back inside if need be. We also have some special amenities like a golf cart to get around the grounds and 4-wheeler to have some fun! The house at muddy creek is a perfect getaway for those really looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. It's a peaceful place to relax and really connect with nature.
