This place has an interesting origin and is surrounded by lovely gardens and unusual natural sites which include tranquil reed beds and stunning views. Come to Caño Negro where wildlife is safeguarded and where your hosts are 100% committed to sustainable tourism. The forests, grasslands and marshes of the vicinity are a home to cougars, jaguars, ocelots, tapirs, peccaries, and even monkeys. You will notice that there is more than enough natural beauty to feast your eyes on from sunrise to sunset. The hotel is fairly new and located right on a world class wetland with a great profusion of birds – many of them very difficult to find elsewhere in Costa Rica. The hotel is very nice, clean and well-maintained. The grounds are nicely landscaped with many flowering plants and other examples of local flora.
