Interaction with GuestsWe live in a house in the complex and are usually available for questions. The NeighborhoodNewfound Lake is a large lake and is exceptionally clean. Although there are motorboats on it they are not the huge ones you find on many large lakes. Newfound is great for sailing, canoeing, and kayaking. Sandybeach is a condominium complex composed of 13 single family homes. We live here and rent several of the homes short term for vacations. Getting AroundNo public transportation nearby except for rental cars. We do have plentiful parking. Other Things to NoteNo Pets Allowed.

Interaction with GuestsI'm available via phone for your stay, but I'm usually gone by the time you get there. The NeighborhoodProperty is bordered front and back by state forest. We do have a neighbor who has a cabin up the mountain from the yurt, but he's quiet. You can't see his cabin except a little bit in winter. I do charge $10 extra between October 15 - April 15. Getting AroundParking on site - about 50' from driveway to yurt up a short hill. Unfortunately, not handicapped friendly. You do need a car to get here! Four wheel drive strongly recommended in winter, and a must in mud season. Other Things to NoteI live a ways away from the yurt, so I do need reasonable notice to get it ready. Always flexible when whether is on the way in winter with rescheduling for another available date.

The first floor features a full kitchen with seating up to 6 people, an open living room, opening up to the large, three-season front porch with sweeping lake views. There is also a side porch with a wicker table and chairs for two to enjoy your coffee and breakfast overlooking the beautiful sunrise. The property features its own private dock and small private beach. You may bring your own boat to tie up to the dock during your stay (mooring also available). You also have the option to rent a boat locally (West Shore Marine is within 1 mile). Four kayaks available for use on-site (3 single, 1 double). Enjoy a BBQ with the propane grill along with an outdoor glass wicker table overlooking the lake. The water at Newfound is crystal-clear and very shallow along the shore providing for enjoyable swimming. Guest AccessLocked den on the first floor is off-limits. The NeighborhoodWalk to Shackett's Super Market (0.2 miles) for coffee, donuts, ice cream, and a seafood shack. About Newfound: The glacial lake, which is 2-1/2 miles wide and 7 miles long, reaches depths of up to 180 feet and is fed by 8 springs. The water is considered the most pristine in the state and is also regarded nationally as the Newfound Lake Region Association remains diligent in monitoring the lake, keeping milfoil at bay, and ensuring it stays this way. Our property is just 5 minutes from Wellington State Park. Wellington boasts the largest freshwater swimming beach in the NH State Park system. Hiking trails and picnic areas along the shore afford views of one of the deepest and clearest lakes in the state. The park maintains volleyball and horseshoe courts. About Bristol: Bristol is located at the south end of the lake. Fifteen minutes off of Interstate 93 and you are in Bristol town center with banking, restaurants, shopping and a grocery store. Head five minutes up the road and you are at Newfound Lake. The town has a population of just over 3000. Enjoy other nearby attractions including Sculptured Rocks and the Polar Caves. Other Things to NoteAll you need to bring is your linens, towels and anything else you may need to have the best vacation on the lake. Cardigan Mountain is a short drive and stunning Newfound Lake, also known as "the cleanest lake in New Hampshire" is near by too! Once there, you'll find Wellington State Park with it's scenic sandy beach, picnic tables and boating access for fishing and canoeing. Spectacular mountain views include Ragged Mountain, a recreational ski resort, that is only minutes away. Hikers and mountaineers can trek Mt. Cardigan (15 mins), with it's peak at 3,155 feet, and be rewarded with a 360 degree view, Mount Kearsarge (30 mins) that boasts 2 state parks, Winslow and Rollins. Be sure to visit the popular Profile Falls on the Smith River and don't forget your bathing suits! Historic New London (15 miles) is a unique college town and home of Colby- Sawyer College. New London is surrounded by magnificent mountains and lakes. (Pleasant Lake and Lake Sunapee) New London has unique shops and (URL HIDDEN) also home to the New London Barn Playhouse. Also there you'll find a Hannaford grocery store for all your provisions and yes another Dunkins!! Camp Inches: You will hear the Wild Meadow's babbling brook which runs the length of the property, while you take in the sights and sounds of nature.You'll have your very own private water hole and waterfall surrounded by a fully screened, lighted porch which overlooks the waterfall and swimming hole. This magical space allows you to enjoy the great outdoors from dusk to dawn! Want to "rough" it? A comfortable double futon is on the porch that can sleep a lucky 2, guaranteeing the most relaxing night's sleep you've ever had! A large,open grassy field where you can play games, improve your chip shot or just relax by the stream. Take pleasure sitting under the stars around a roaring camp fire with your family and friends while you listen to the babbling brook. I have an additional 9 acres of meadow land that's located across the road and available for your exploration and enjoyment! Cut trails will lead you to enjoy more of the Wild Meadows Brook and a sandy beach. Turkey, bear, moose and an abundance of other wild life thrive there, so stay sharp and bring binoculars for a closer view! Camp Inches rustic interior provides that authentic country ambiance and we have five sliding glass doors through out the home for your viewing pleasure that brings the outdoors right inside. A fully equipped kitchen includes an island and has all new appliances. For the chef, kitchen utensils galore with spices and condiments at your fingertips! An open concept keeps everyone involved and interacting during meals. Dining area seats 8 and the breakfast bar 3. There's a Weber grill for your outdoor cooking right outside. Our great room doubles as the third bedroom. This is my favorite room in the house and connects directly to the screened porch. I decided to set it up this way so everyone could enjoy this room. It has 2 couches, one pullout for sleeping. A wooded cathedral-style ceiling with two skylights and a ceiling fan. A flat screen TV , with Direct TV. An 8 foot sliding glass door that leads you to the screened porch. Views of the brook while seated on the couch are an added pleasure. A cozy sunken living room is right off the kitchen.This room boasts another wooded cathedral ceiling with a ceiling fan. Another 8 foot sliding glass door just steps to the brook. A flat screened TV that includes Direct TV, Netflix and a futon that sleeps two. Bedrooms: The first bedroom is off the kitchen and has a queen bed facing a 6ft glass slider with your own private deck and entrance. It also has a nice view of the forest and brook. The second bedroom is the master, which is down the hall past the bathroom. This room is spacious with a queen bed and a trundle bed that sleeps two.This room has a private entrance too. We have a mud room where you'll find the washer and dryer, so pack light! Interaction with GuestsI'm at Camp Inches to greet you on your arrival ! I like to tour my home with you and answer any questions you might have. The NeighborhoodWe're located right off an country road nestled close to the creek. You will not see any neighbors, although there are two vacation homes across the street further in the woods. Year round residents live and work on the road where you'll find farms with sheep,horses bulls and cows. Drop in for fresh eggs and milk at the Sisson Farm. Getting AroundYou'll need a car, but the country store is just minutes up the road! There is so much to do in every direction!!

      The SpaceWhat makes my property unique is the private 1 acre setting surrounded by nature. The house is meticulously maintained inside and out. We have a large 35' deck, a 6 person hot tub, stainless steel grill, and a fire pit. The property is located at the end of dead end dirt road which is great for small children. Guest AccessAll guests will have access to our shared private beach directly in front of our home as well as the storage shed to leave beach chairs. They also have access to Wi-Fi and cable television, the hot tub, and the entire home. The NeighborhoodWhat I love about our neighborhood is the fact that it's very family oriented and quiet. The people in the area very friendly and welcoming. Other Things to NoteIn the winter there are many ski mountains within a 45 minute drive or less such as Loon Mountain (45 minutes away), Waterville Valley (40 minutes away), Ragged Mountain (20 minutes away, and Gunstock (35 minutes away). In the summer, there are numerous 18 hole golf courses within a 45 minute drive. We are also close to outlet shopping only 30 minutes away in nearby Tilton.

      Welcome to our Lakefront Cottage! Take a step back and enjoy peace and relaxation while taking in the gorgeous mountain views and sunsets that Newfound Lake offers. This is situated on the 'sunny' side of the Lake- Whittemore Point! The beautiful, clean and clear waters of Newfound Lake are right out your front door! You'll love the screened in porch which provides an opportunity to still enjoy the lake and views in the evening and inclement weather. The cottage has 2 bedrooms - one has a Queen size bed and the other has twin bunk beds. Perfect for a small family- There is also a half bath in the cottage and an 'outside shower'- that is enclosed for privacy and provides running hot water. A great place to start your morning in and then if outdoor activities are your thing, the White Mountains and Lake Regions offer some of the 'best' hiking options! Bring your fishing gear- the lake has been known to host some of the best prize fish in the area! You can bring your motorboat and launch right off the dock or mooring!

      Our lake home looks onto beautiful and clean Newfound Lake. The private shared access beach is 300 yards away (it is a bit rocky at the water entrance, so water shoes are suggested). Wellington State Park and beach is 1/4 mile away, with a free public boat launch. The house sits on a private lot and the large deck has water views. Off-street parking for 4 cars. New insulation and siding in fall 2011. The house has pergo flooring throughout the first floor, modern full size appliances and a gas cooking stove. Many recent furniture upgrades too! The living area is open and spacious as are the bedrooms. The master bedroom on the first floor has a queen bed and a washer and dryer. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has a double and two twin beds. Hiking and snowmobile trails are within walking distance. Walk to Newfound Winery for free tasting (open May to Oct.). Ice fishing and skating on the lake as well! Restaurants and stores nearby. Beautiful area, lots to do any time of year! Summer: Swim in one of the cleanest lakes in the world and the deepest in New Hampshire. Bring your canoe, motor boat or sailboat and enjoy Newfound Lake which is 2 miles wide and 7 miles long. Plenty of other things to do locally - hike, bike, view falls, nature reserves etc. Winter: Ski/Snowboard at Ragged Mountain - 20 minutes away or Tenney Mountain - 15 minutes away.       We rent our home on a limited basis and seek responsible families with which to share it. It is well maintained, tastefully decorated and fully equipped for the perfect family getaway. Come and enjoy a private association beach with a day dock, roped off swim area with raft. Also on the beach are umbrella covered picnic tables, horseshoes, volleyball and basketball. When you return from the beach there's an enclosed outside shower-great for washing the sand off the kids! Inside relax and enjoy the lovely mountain views from the loft. Like to shop? The shared private beach is 150 feet from the front yard and is sandy bottomed, has a gradual slope, a day dock (no overnight docking allowed),a roped off swim area, picnic area, and a floating raft for kids to swim out to and jump off of. Camp Inches is a quiet, relaxing vacation spot located right off a country road in the charming, rural town of Danbury NH, where tall pines, mountain ridges and local farms will surround you. Danbury is also the home of Ragged Mountain, which is located a few minutes drive from Camp Inches. Cardigan Mountain is a short drive and stunning Newfound Lake, also known as "the cleanest lake in New Hampshire" is near by too! Once there, you'll find Wellington State Park with it's scenic sandy beach, picnic tables and boating access for fishing and canoeing. Spectacular mountain views include Ragged Mountain, a recreational ski resort, that is only minutes away. Hikers and mountaineers can trek Mt. Cardigan (15 mins), with it's peak at 3,155 feet, and be rewarded with a 360 degree view, Mount Kearsarge (30 mins) that boasts 2 state parks, Winslow and Rollins. Tenney Mountain (30 min), Mount Sunapee (30) Gunstock, Loon and Waterville Valley resorts an hour ride. Motorcyclists will love to ride along gorgeous scenic routes!! Camp Inches is only a 30 minute drive to Lake Winnipesauke then on to Laconia and Weirs Beach. Bike Week rents out well in advance of the event, so it's first come -- first serve! Be sure to book early! Wine lovers will enjoy a trip to visit Danbury's own Haunting Whisper Winery! Wine tasting is encouraged. The 48-mile hard packed Northern Rail Trail, which is the longest recreational-use trail in New Hampshire is accessible from the center of town in Danbury. Bring you bicycles, running and walking shoes. In the winter months it's open to snowmobilers. You kids will love a trip to the Polar Caves and Ruggles Mine which are nearby. Close to Camp Inches (7mins) is one of the best local country stores in NH,The Danbury Country Store. Voted #2 in the state of NH by WMUR voter results in 2016. Be sure to visit the popular Profile Falls on the Smith River and don't forget your bathing suits! Historic New London (15 miles) is a unique college town and home of Colby- Sawyer College. New London is surrounded by magnificent mountains and lakes. (Pleasant Lake and Lake Sunapee) New London has unique shops and restaurants.It's also home to the New London Barn Playhouse. Also there you'll find a Hannaford grocery store for all your provisions and yes another Dunkins!! If you like a bargain, the Tilton Outlet stores is a lovely 45-minute drive where you'll find many stores and restaurants. Camp Inches: You will hear the Wild Meadow's babbling brook which runs the length of the property, while you take in the sights and sounds of nature.You'll have your very own private water hole and waterfall surrounded by a fully screened, lighted porch which overlooks the waterfall and swimming hole. This magical space allows you to enjoy the great outdoors from dusk to dawn! Want to "rough" it? A comfortable double futon is on the porch that can sleep a lucky 2, guaranteeing the most relaxing night's sleep you've ever had! A large,open grassy field where you can play games, improve your chip shot or just relax by the stream. Take pleasure sitting under the stars around a roaring camp fire with your family and friends while you listen to the babbling brook. I have an additional 9 acres of meadow land that's located across the road and available for your exploration and enjoyment! Cut trails will lead you to enjoy more of the Wild Meadows Brook and a sandy beach. Turkey, bear, moose and an abundance of other wild life thrive there, so stay sharp and bring binoculars for a closer view! Camp Inches rustic interior provides that authentic country ambiance and we have five sliding glass doors through out the home for your viewing pleasure that brings the outdoors right inside. A fully equipped kitchen includes an island and has all new appliances. For the chef, kitchen utensils galore with spices and condiments at your fingertips! An open concept keeps everyone involved and interacting during meals. Dining area seats 8 and the breakfast bar 3. There's a Weber grill for your outdoor cooking right outside. Our great room doubles as the third bedroom. This is my favorite room in the house and connects directly to the screened porch. I decided to set it up this way so everyone could enjoy this room. It has 2 couches, one pullout for sleeping. A wooded cathedral-style ceiling with two skylights and a ceiling fan. A flat screen TV , with Direct TV. An 8 foot sliding glass door that leads you to the screened porch. Views of the brook while seated on the couch are an added pleasure. A cozy sunken living room is right off the kitchen.This room boasts another wooded cathedral ceiling with a ceiling fan. Another 8 foot sliding glass door just steps to the brook. A flat screened TV that includes Direct TV, Netflix and a futon that sleeps two. Bedrooms: The first bedroom is off the kitchen and has a queen bed facing a 6ft glass slider with your own private deck and entrance. It also has a nice view of the forest and brook. The second bedroom is the master, which is down the hall past the bathroom. This room is spacious with a queen bed and a trundle bed that sleeps two.This room has a private entrance too. We have a mud room where you'll find the washer and dryer, so pack light!

      Stay for a week or longer at one of the cleanest lakes in the country. This 2 bedroom cottage is extremely clean , fully furnished with a full bed in the in master bedroom and two single beds in the other. The cottage has a 3/4 bathroom, newly remodeled kitchen and new flooring. The cottage is right on the water. The cottage has a large deck facing the water, yard, and shared beach. Enjoy the mountain and lake views. Take a short walk up the road to Shackett's Market for all of your food and drink.

Cottage has pine cathedral ceilings, window AC, gas fireplace, screen porch, lots of glass, 2 bedrooms, sofa bed in living area, small loft with 2 twin mattress on the floor, you can not stand up in the loft , access by ship's ladder, gas grill, satellite TV & VCR. Walk to Shackett's & town beach. Mooring or dock available at additional cost. Paddleboat, kayaks, and swim raft for renters. Cottage is winterized and cozy with a gas fireplace, towels, paper products and linen by renters.

It has a full kitchen including dishwasher, and has a large wrap around deck with grill for outdoor dining with the family. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, just 150 yards from a private shared sandy beach, and includes a washer/dryer, outdoor shower, use of a canoe. Basic cable and Internet included. Enjoy the spectacular views of Cardigan Mountain & breathtaking sunsets. Relax on the screened porch or under a shady tree with a book. Be adventurous and enjoy all that the lake has to offer. Swim, kayak/canoe, water ski, tube, fish, or hang out with friends at the sandbar. Restaurant, bakery and store all within walking distance. Don't forget the marshmallows to roast over the campfire.

In the middle there are two kitchens and two family rooms in one four-room open setting. There is a screened back porch and a large front deck which offers a beautiful view of Newfound Lake and the surrounding mountains. Located on 3/4 of an acre of private land, this home has all you need in terms of play space, privacy and even has an extended driveway for multiple car or boat/jet ski parking. The shared private beach is 150 feet from the front yard and is sandy bottomed, has a gradual slope, a day dock (no overnight docking allowed),a roped off swim area, picnic area, and a floating raft for kids to swim out to and jump off of. Summer/Fall-swimming, boating, hiking & beautiful foliage. Winter-skiing, snowmobiling & xcountry skiing. Details: :This home has three-fourths acre of private land and has a large front deck that offers a beautiful view of Newfound Lake and the surrounding mountains. The deck gets sunshine all day and has 4 loungers, two tables with chairs, umbrellas, and a large gas grill. Totally renovated 4 BR/2.5 bath, two-level cottage with large upper deck with views of the lake and Cardigan Mtn. House is air conditioned (unusual for lake rentals.) Upstairs bedrooms: two have queen bed and one has a day bed with pull-out trundle (2 twins). Downstairs bedroom has queen bed and downstairs living area has two full size futons. Full baths upstairs and downstairs with half-bath for master bedroom. Cottage sits in its own apple orchard and is a nice walk to the lake, or you can use the golf cart to get there. Access to a boat mooring, tennis courts and playground. This is a private oasis that's part of the desirable community of Whittemore Shores. All kitchen utensils/dishes, towels and linens provided for your use. In addition to summer sports and relaxation, this is the perfect place for winter sports, with snowmobiling, ice skating and ice fishing on frozen Newfound Lake, and skiing and snowboarding at nearby Ragged Mtn., Gunstock, and more.
