The SpaceThis property is very private, back a long driveway on a quiet road, yet is less than 4 miles from the center of Great Barrington, approximately 20 minutes to Tanglewood (closer via the back roads shortcut!), close to Butternut and Catamount ski areas, as well as all the Berkshire attractions. Very close to some of the nicest swimming places in the Berkshires. Hiking nearby / and on the property. On the property there are 8 acres of hiking trails, plus another 35 acres adjacent of trails, plus 90 acres across the road of trails (great for XC skiing in the winters too!). In the front of the house is a very nice open field which we keep well mowed, so nice to amble around in. Lots of outdoor seating too! And a firepit. The house is a 2 bedroom / 2 bath house newly renovated. Drawing upon our collection of midcentury furniture, we have outfitted the house with some iconic pieces. The house is fully furnished, yet deliberately spare, a blank canvas for you to use for a few days, a week, a month or longer. It is perfect for a family or 2 (or 3) couples. Upstairs is a HUGE BEDROOM, with king sized bed. It's a loft-like open sitting area with plenty of light, and also a small exterior balcony. Approximately the size of a nice large studio apartment, with high ceilings and forest AND mountain views. And a bathroom with soaking tub and separate shower. This room is also excellent for practicing yoga...high ceilings, wood floors; 6 mats will easily fit in here (and we can put you in contact with several excellent yoga instructors who will come to the house to give you private classes) Downstairs there is a streamlined COZY BEDROOM, like a large stateroom in an ocean liner...cozy does NOT mean cramped though. Full sized bed. Full bathroom adjacent. BEDS are new pillow top mattresses, very deluxe and comfortable; 300 thread count all cotton sheets and duvet covers; down pillows, down comforters OR hypoallergenic comforters and pillows, as you wish. The LIVING ROOM has a fireplace, a great desk for working / writing (and a fold out / fold flat sofa bed. Flat screen TV for DVDs, reasonably fast wireless connection as well. Books, board games, and a good selection of DVDs. There are sliding glass doors out to a small deck, and a step down to a large meadow and beautiful woods with hardwood copses, beech woods, old stone walls. DINING ROOM is well appointed, good light, very convivial possibilities, seats 10 comfortably, but is not huge, you won’t get lost in it. Great light and views. The KITCHEN is well outfitted; Viking gas range with vented hood, dishwasher. China is also midcentury; there is a lovely deck off of the kitchen, with outdoor seating and gas grill. Small covered deck off of living room, and small deck off of upstairs bedroom as well. Clean and empty 2 car garage + work area. Washer / dryer Bicycles available, plus many other useful things. We live just up the road, and so are available if there is anything you need. Excellent high efficiency / low noise hot water circulating furnace / solar powered for electricity. Cost is as noted in listing, plus a cleaning fee and deposit, depending upon length of stay. Your weekly cost also includes as much as you need from our organic farm, including eggs. Locally raised organic meat also available (at cost). We are very flexible about checking in / checking out. However unless you specifically confirm the times you're coming (and going) we must ask that you check in after 4pm, and check out by 12:00 pm Thanks and feel free to ask any questions Here are some further reviews from another site - August 2013 Lovely, Serene Setting Near All My husband and I spent two August weeks at this terrific location and recommend it highly! While very private and quiet it is close to everything we wanted to do and see in the Berkshires. We enjoyed the eat-in kitchen, which is bright, spacious and well-equipped. (We also used the dining room and the outdoor deck, which was lovely!) We used the very large upstairs king bedroom, which was comfortable and bright, with windows along one wall and sliding glass doors along another...with a deck for reading and dreaming! Wonderful property! Ron was so helpful and available to us; his recommendations for restaurants and various activities were excellent. He also brought us beautiful cut flowers and delicious fruit and vegetables from his own gardens and orchard! Overall, a great place to stay!Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway. July 2013 Great setting for family vacation I rented this house for five weeks during the summer, both for myself and for a small family gathering. It was a wonderful experience all around. The listing info is accurate and the excellent reviews are merited. The house is spotlessly clean, comfortable and private, in a bucolic setting, yet only 10 minutes from Great Barrington. The place has been recently rehabbed and is nicely furnished in a clean, spare Scan style with space that is perfect for a couple and still roomy enough for a group. The master bedroom is particularly spacious with a good-sized bathroom and step-out deck overlooking a large picturesque yard -- great for kids and pets to play in and run around. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies and opens out to an adjoining deck with a lovely setting for grilling and dining al fresco. The owners, Ron and Naomi, are wonderful hosts and really made us feel like welcome guests, with provisions of bread, coffee and salad greens in the fridge upon arrival and deliveries of seasonal produce fresh from their farm (which we also were also invited to visit). Ron manages the property in an unobtrusive way – he was easily reachable and responsive to inquiries, providing a font of information about area resources not found in guidebooks. In all my years of renting, I’ve never had such a positive personal rapport with an owner. I would definitely recommend this house for a family vacation, romantic getaway or just a great home base for exploring the Berkshires.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway. June 2013 Relaxing and Rejuvenating Weekend Ron was attentive and responsive to our questions and needs, he always replied to emails very quickly and made sure to contact us before and after our arrival. Directions regarding the house were clear, detailed, and concise. The house was homey and comfortable, fitting our needs. Ron provided us with a generous amount of food at the beginning of our stay. The house was a perfect size for the 6 of us and was large enough for us to spend time both together and apart. With the house set far back off a quiet road, we had privacy to enjoy the setting, as well as having fun without disturbing anyone. Definitely recommended! June 2013 Beaux Berskshire Boite Well, not quite a box, and not really French at all, but I'm stretching for alliterations these days. Everything was exactly as pictured. Tasteful Midcent furnishings offend no one. Comfortable bed. Private location, back off the main road. Plenty of room for two people, would be great for 4 or even 6. Well equipped kitchen. Grill. Firepit. Nice shower and bath. Naomi and Ron were thoughtful enough to leave out coffee, fresh veg from the garden, milk and bread. All nice touches. Felt like I was staying in a home I already owned in some parallel universe, which, knowing my self-regard, is the highest compliment! Would recommend this to anyone heading to the Berkshires.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway. June 2013 Just what we needed! Stayed for a long weekend with college friends that wanted an upgrade from our average camping trip. The location was perfect - great hideaway surrounded by trees, but close enough to town to get whatever we needed. Loved all the area info that Ron and Naomi left for us - it was so helpful!! Upon our arrival we were greeted with fresh eggs, berries, bread and local coffee such a lovely touch! We enjoyed all of our meals on the deck and made use of the grill and fire pit. Also spent one afternoon at a local swimming hole they recommended we check out. Overall great weekend and would certainly stay again! Perfect for families or a group of friends. Amazing hospitality and cozy hideaway Guest: emy888 (Northern NJ) Date of Stay: 02/20/13 Review Submitted: 03/22/13 My husband and our four young children visited the area for the first time to go skiing at Butternut. This house could not have been more perfect. Very kid-friendly, cozy and comfortable, unique in its stylish decor, tucked away and very private. Conveniently located close to Butternut and to Great Barrington's main street, a wonderful place to explore, as well as many other spots we discovered .... But the real treat was the amazing hospitality of the owners. Their recommendations and knowledge of EVERYTHING were top notch and made us newcomers feel as though we knew all the secrets. They greeted us with above-and-beyond helpfulness to make sure everything was perfect and in its place, with fresh eggs, juice, butter and bread for our arrival to boot. And when we found we needed something to execute our customary post-skiing pancakes, they were super responsive and non-intrusive with not one but 3 griddles .... honestly, they were quintessential hosts who ensured that we will be back. We look forward to experiencing the home and area in the warmer months. Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing. We will admit that PERFECT weather conspired to make this trip so glorious but Ron & Naomi's home was a huge part of it. The house is clean and cozy. The fresh flowers, eggs and veggies were a lovely bonus! Ron was quick to respond to any and all inquiries and stopped by to help map out a local trip. A very peaceful vibe and we came home relaxed and re-charged. We look forward to a return trip and heartily recommend a visit! Recommended for: Did you find this review helpful? The house offered great privacy as well as lovely minimalist style. My husband usually has bad allergies in summer homes but the Berkshire hideaway was so dust free that he had no complaints. The owners were extremely helpful and accessible. Also, we have two young children so the laundry, dishwasher and hammock were a plus. The location was ten minutes from the town of Great Barrington and there was swimming close by. Owner response:Thanks for your nice review! Glad that the allergies were not an issue! (we are very thorough with cleaning / everything is dusted, wiped down, HEPA vacuumed, all rugs regularly washed etc). You guys were great guests, please think about us for future visits! The NeighborhoodThis house is in one of the most desirable areas near Great Barrington - close to the Alford Valley one of the most scenic places in the Berkshires. A great bike loop or drive. The SpaceThe original Alford farmhouse (1750), this house has been added to and renovated over the years, but it has maintained its history. Look out the front windows and you'll see the waves of the original glass. Perhaps the house's most unusual feature is its enormous, flat back yard: you don't see this very often in such a hilly part of the country. A brook runs through the property, and in summer you can hear it inside the house. We love falling asleep to that sound. The house is situated close to the road, but all of the outdoor living happens in the back, which is very private. Also, the road is not busy: traffic tends to be limited to nearby residents or to those on bicycles! The property is 2.4 acres in all, providing excellent privacy: the houses on either side are not very close and only in partial view. Downstairs The downstairs has: a screen porch; a mudroom; a large open kitchen/dining room; a music room; a half bath, a library with fireplace; and a large living room, half of which has a 50-inch TV (with DirecTV service) tucked into a nook, and half of which has two stories of open space and windows looking onto the back yard and brook. We are enthusiastic cooks and entertain often so the kitchen is stocked in a way that we think would please Nate's former colleagues at Cook's Illustrated magazine. The mix of old and new appliances, all in good working order, is fitting, and you will find Wusthof knives and all of the All Clad pots and pans that you need! We also found that it was important to have a commercial size citrus juicer, a KitchenAid standing mixer, and lots of serving plates. We do not have a drip coffee maker, but we do have both a French press and an Italian stovetop espresso maker, as well as a coffee grinder. Outside, there is a Weber charcoal grill that has a small propane tank used for two minutes to start the coals. Three quirks about the house: It has low ceilings, as is typical for its vintage. Nate is 6' 4", so he has to duck through a few 6' doorways! On the other hand, the large living room opens up to two-story height. Second, as you enter each room, the hardwood floor will be a slightly different level. Toddlers, beware (although our daughter was two when we bought the house and learned how to do steps there)! Lastly, one of the bedrooms doesn't have a closet. We will build one at some point but currently it has a bureau as well as a rack with good hangers. The house has Wifi. It also has, in the kitchen and the living room, iPhone-ready (either for the new or the previous generation of iPhones) docking stations for music. Upstairs The upstairs has four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. One of the bedrooms has a king-size bed and two have queens; one bedroom has two twin-size beds. One of the bathrooms has a bath/shower; the other has a shower. All of the beds have comfortable, high-quality mattresses and fresh linens. Outside Just outside the kitchen is a lawn with an outdoor table that easily seats 6. The back yard is perfect for children's play: it is almost as big as a football field. West Road is wonderful for walking and much-used for recreational or serious bicycling: it and East Road form a loop that has become a destination for cyclists. In addition to the outdoor table and chairs, we have two teak Adirondack chairs and a hammock hung between majestic pine trees. The back yard has a magical feel: private, attractive, and filled with the sounds of birds and brook. On clear nights, you can bring the telescope out from the living room and look at the stars. Interaction with GuestsWe will not be in town during your stay, but reachable by cell phone and will try to be very responsive. The NeighborhoodWest Road is a highly desirable address in the quiet country town of Alford. Here is what Berkshire Magazine said about Alford in its May, 2014 issue: "Lined up on the Massachusetts-New York border, Alford is a Berkshire town hidden in plain view--and most residents want to keep it that way...A buble within a bubble--a place with open fields, red barns, white houses, and quiet country roads--Alford is like the rest of the rural Berkshires, only more so. Though less than 15 minutes from Great Barrington to the south and West Stockbridge to the north, outsiders often wander into Alford and get totally (URL HIDDEN) slightly less than 11 square miles, there are four active 100-acre-plus farms, all of which are protected as agricultural land in perpetuity...The town center is classic New England--a church, a one-room schoolhouse (which was converted into town offices at the end of the 20th century), and a town hall. The so-called loop--a challenging 10-mile trip around the Alford valley--is favored by cyclists, who sometimes stop to wander around the graveyard at the town center. ... Great proximity to art, music and locavore culture... Close enough to everything and just far away enough to be truly pastoral." We think they got it right, and we would only emphasize the convenience of being less than 15 minutes from Great Barrington, which of all the towns in the Berkshires strikes the best balance between being useful/utilitarian and charming/luxurious: whether you want a farm-to-table restaurant, a hardware store, a pharmacy, a movie theatre, a gas station, a terrific high-end (or terrific mainstream) grocery store, a French food market, a candy store, a coffee shop, or a clothing boutique, it's all right there. Within 20 minutes of the house are skiing (Butternut or Catamount, Jimminy Peak is only 35), lakes, Tanglewood, Shakespeare, historic mansions like The Mount, theatre, farmers' markets, and as much hiking, exploring, and antiquing as you want. Drive a little more and you're at Jacob's Pillow, the Clark, or Mass MOCA! Getting AroundA bus from New York city goes to Great Barrington, which is less than 15 minutes away. A bus from Boston goes to Lee, which is 30 minutes away. If you are driving from Boston it takes just over 2 hours and 2 and 1/2 from NYC. Other Things to NotePlease note that most people do not get cell-phone service at the house (spotty generally in the Berkshires). We do have a land line (all calls within the US are free of charge) in the house, and we have Wifi service. It's highly advisable to make sure you have directions all set before you get to the Berkshires, as you will not be able to rely on your cell phone to help you navigate. Please note that the house does not have air conditioning. On the rare summer night when it is uncomfortably warm in the bedrooms, fans can be used, and should be all you need in order to feel comfortable. Please note that we have a Labrador Retriever who will likely have been in the house within a few days of your visit, so that if anyone in your party is highly allergic to dogs, this is probably not the house for you!

The SpaceThis house has it all! HIgh speed internet, wifi, Cable TV, the BEST views, privacy, firepit, gardens, raised veggie beds, flowers galore, close to all Berkshire cultural attractions that bring thousands to this area year round! Summer and Winter-- you will LOVE the Berkshires! The apartment is situated on the lower level of the house. (Coming in the Spring/Summer 2013 the upper portion of the home will be available for rental also!) THE PROPERTY RENTS OUT BY LEVELS: EITHER BY SEPARATE SPACES/APARTMENTS OR CONNECTED AND SOLD AS THE ENTIRE HOUSE. There are 3 accesses to lovely porches to the exterior: each with their own personality. One faces east for the morning sun and has an old european like wall that has flowers and vines crawling all over it, white gravel underfoot, and a nice sunny corner to sip your morning espresso, dip your croissant, and read your N.Y. Times! The south side is a wide and covered porch where you can rock in the chair, watch the hummingbirds, play a game of cards at the table or just sit and admire all the hanging flowers and the garden. The west deck is a bluestone terrace giving off the west master and it's covered and is the haven for the morning glories and trumpet vine-- so the hummingbirds love going there as well as the butterflies. It's cool and shady and it is a wonderful place to sit and watch the long shadows at the end of the day. The interior is a very open style; with a large grand room, large big beams, and the bedrooms give off the main living space. The laundry and utility space is in the back of the apartment. There are two full bathrooms that mirror each other on each side of the apartment. There is a full kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, toaster, etc, everything you'd need to make a full Thanksgiving dinner if you wanted to! The bedrooms are all very large, have hardwood floors, big lovely windows, 2 master bedrooms have glass doors leading out to their own terraces, every bedroom has a large closet, lots of storage, and each one has their own "colors" and character. The apartment has a very european feeling to it and is very cozy and homey. Many clients like to call it "shabby chic" and have felt very comfortable here and very much at home. There's plenty of shopping here in Great Barrington as well as fabulous restaurants! Of course we are mostly famous for our summer Theater and music and dance, but there is something going on here ALL YEAR ROUND! This place is so special and the Ski Season is going to be GREAT this year! Too many things to write about in too small of a space- just come here and experience the Berkshires! I hope you'll try "Chez Linnea" as it's such a great location; a bucolic setting yet literally minutes from downtown G.B. and perfectly located between the north and south sides of town. Not far from Tanglewood, BTF, Shakespeare, Butternut, Catamount, and all the other wonderful attractions that have delighted so many generations in the Berkshires. Guest AccessGuests have access to the entire house that is rented in the contract except for the following spaces that are locked off: the downstairs utility closet, the upstairs office and walk-in closet, and the access to the attic stairs. Interaction with GuestsI am rarely on the premises to greet the guests but am occasionally working in the gardens and keeping things beautiful. I like to leave "goodies" for my clients so that's my usual interaction w/ them. In any case I always leave my contact with them or give my property manager's name and number so there is always someone available in case of any emergency. The NeighborhoodThe most important thing about our area is the great views and the fact that the property is part of an old farm. "Chez Linnea" is isolated and private, yet is minutes away from downtown Great Barrington, the ski areas, restaurants, and all the amenities you could possibly need. I love the fact that we have forest all behind the house and on the sides yet we have open, sunny skies and views towards the south and it's light and airy all year round. Getting AroundUnfortunately in the (URL HIDDEN) public transport! Bring your cars! Other Things to NoteI would like my guests to know that I am always open to proposals of stays of over a week or more during odd times of the year and will gladly work out a beneficial agreement for both parties that is well below the published rates.

The SpaceThis home is a great blend of old and new. The original farmhouse was built in 1840 and is comprised of a large recently-renovated living room with a beautiful stone fireplace, and three cozy air-conditioned bedrooms upstairs (one with a queen size bed; one with two singles and a double bed and a spare mattress; and one with a single bed and a loft that has a queen size mattress). There is also a bathroom upstairs with a clawfoot bathtub (that also has a shower) and a half-bathroom downstairs near the kitchen. And there is a spacious screened in porch with a sitting area and dining table. A large library and master bed/bath room were added in 2000. The library opens onto the screened in porch and has a fireplace, two ceiling fans, television, and floor to ceiling bookcases. The master bedroom opens onto a deck with a 6/7 person hot tub. In 2015, the current owners completed a new addition that has 12' to 14' ceilings, with a large ping pong/tv room that is connected (by an old sliding barn door) to the approx. 600 square foot gourmet kitchen and dining area (with Mitsubishi AC and a ceiling fan), which opens into the old living room so guests can enjoy the fire in the old stone fireplace while hanging out in the kitchen. There is also a large entry and front closet, a new laundry room, and large deck connected to the dining area. There are gorgeous views from every room, and a stereo system with speakers throughout the first floor and by the hot tub. And you can play football, frisbee, volleyball or badminton (the balls and racquets are in the front closet and the net is in the barn) on the field next to the pond. Or you can play basketball in the barn. Guest AccessYou can use the entire house and wander around the downstairs level of the old barn. But children must be supervised in the barn. Also, the pond is spring fed and perfect for swimming, if you don't mind chilly water. You can warm up quickly in the hot tub. Children must be supervised by the pond and in the hot tub. Interaction with GuestsWe will not be in Alford during your stay, but can be reached at any time by cell phone or email. And our caretaker lives down the road and will be available as well. You should not hesitate to contact us with any questions during your stay. The NeighborhoodAlford is a special place. Only ten minutes from Great Barrington (with lots of restaurants and shops), and twenty minutes from Tanglewood or skiing at Butternut and Catamount, it still feels like an old New England farming village - cows grazing in large pastures in the valley, with a church, town hall, and one-room school house in the center of town. The roads are quiet, perfect for walking or cycling, and you can see a ton of stars at night, with essentially no ambient light from any streetlights or nearby towns. Other Things to NoteThere is no cell-phone reception at the house and in much of Alford. But you can use our landline for domestic calls, and there is wi-fi. You should figure out driving directions before you leave for the Berkshires because you won't be able to rely on cell phone GPS to navigate. Also, we have a labrador retriever, so the house may not be suited for people with dog allergies.

This home is so special and it starts where it is located. It has tremendous curb appeal, as it sits nestled at the top of a hill way back up off the road. It's very difficult to see the house from the road, but once you're on the curving driveway, it takes you up to the house where the large center steps lead you up to a huge welcoming porch. Here you can sit and chat and look at the distant mountains and enjoy the scenery. I have always loved large open porches (probably something from my childhood when people actually sat out on them and they were places of great socializing!) The lower portion of the house is ONE OF THE rental areas; 2500 square feet to enjoy! There are great windows and sliding doors that lead into the large room which includes the kitchen and family room; this room is about 550 sq ft and there's plenty of room to hang out there and different corners to do things. The bedrooms flank the living areas and they are all large, airy, well lit, and have hardwood floors. The whole place has a very European feeling to it. The two main front bedrooms have glass doors that lead out to their own separate patios; the one to the east catches the morning sun and it's got an old wall with charming beds of flowers behind it- what a great place to have your coffee! The one on the west side is on a blue slate terrace and is covered by cool trumpet vines and morning glories, so it is more shady and cool. To the west gardens you will find the raised beds where I raise all the veggies for the summer and we have the sunken firepit where you can enjoy a bonfire, roast your own hamburgers/hotdogs over a wood fire (oh there is NOTHING that beats eating food cooked over wood! so much better than charcoal and don't even talk to me about a gas grill! lol!!) Caution must be taken of course if conditions are too dry and fires are forbidden because of drought conditions. If there isn't sufficient rain, we refrain from making fires in the firepit. Other qualities that are unique to this property: It has (ON THE LOWER LEVEL): two full bathrooms, a huge furnace storage area, a huge laundry room, large storage closets(that could house skis, bikes, equipment, etc) The 'feeling' of the house is, I guess one would call, 'shabby chic'. I love old stuff and I love how things look when the paint starts coming off and shows it's patina...I believe the Japanese call it Wabi-Sabi. Well, I guess that would describe how things are in my home. The rooms are categorized (for us) by colors: there's the 'green room', the smoky 'purple' room, the 'lavender and yellow' room, the 'blue' room--the "twin" room, and all the walls are old fashioned plaster and we have big beams going across a partial section of the lower apartment. It's a really funky, different set up as far as layout but what we have always loved is that it's a place that naturally brings people together to hang out together, but then we all have our own space to go to when we want to be quiet. Now the UPPER LEVEL OF THE PROPERTY IS OPEN TO RENT creating a whole new addition of rental living space to enjoy! This area is absolutely lovely and affords gorgeous views of the southern mountains and western views. This area is just gorgeous and includes 2 huge bedrooms w/ large closets and shares a small eastern balcony for morning coffee. The upper floor also houses the MASTER SUITE (with king-size bed) which has its own bath, and huge 24 x 12 terrace facing the west and south, lots of windows, light, and breeze. There is a 550 sq. ft loft-like living room which gives onto a south facing deck that has amazing views of the mountains. A large and spacious kitchen is adjacent to this area. Included is a full laundry and 1 full bathroom. Included as part of this apartment is 1 downstairs room which has a room that can accommodate 2 in twin beds. This apartment has a separate entrance in the rear of the building so there is no disturbing the people in the lower apartment. The 2 apartments can be connected by simply opening the door between the stairway connecting the upper and lower levels and the home can be rented as one entire house for a large family summer reunion or a place to be together for the whole summer! You will love taking walks around the property too-- you can walk back up the hill behind up to the trails through the woods and up to the lake that sits up behind the house. I haven't seen many people up there recently-- maybe it's just too hot! I know there are some great swimming holes down the road from here off of Hurlburt Road and off of Route 23 there is Green River where lots of people go to swim. I know of a much more private place to go too, but it's too long to explain in this description. There is plenty of wildlife around here to enjoy; especially the birds. They are beautiful and abundant. I have all the songbirds and red-tailed hawks you could desire! If you would like to either rent only HALF of the house or the FULL house, just ask me about prices! All year round we make good deals and accommodate families for their reunions, weddings, seminars, workshops, or any special occasion; This is the perfect place for it! Come and enjoy..."Chez Linnea"!!!

This property is very private, back a long driveway on a quiet road, yet is less than 4 miles from the center of Great Barrington, approximately 20 minutes to Tanglewood (closer via the back roads shortcut!), close to Butternut and Catamount ski areas, as well as all the Berkshire attractions. And a fire-pit. The house is a 2 bedroom / 2 bath house newly renovated; we are designers who eschew excess, yet enjoy comfort. Drawing upon our collection of mid-century furniture, we have outfitted the house with some iconic pieces. This room is also excellent for practicing yoga...high ceilings, wood floors; 6 mats will easily fit in here (and we can put you in contact with several excellent yoga instructors who will come to the house to give you private classes). Or put all the kids up here, it's like a separate private apartment. Downstairs there is a streamlined COZY BEDROOM, like a large stateroom in an ocean liner...cozy does NOT mean cramped though. Flat screen for DVDs, reasonably fast wireless connection as well, so you can stream films with a Netflix or Amazon account (there is a DVD library in the house as well; there is no network or cable television at this location). The KITCHEN is well outfitted; VIKING RANGE, with convection oven, vented hood, dishwasher, Cuisnart food processor, a blender, drip coffee pot, & French Press, also a coffee grinder. China is also mid-century; there is a lovely deck off of the kitchen, with outdoor seating and grill. Small covered deck off of living room, and small deck off of upstairs bedroom as well. Clean and empty 2 car garage + work area. Washer / dryer. Bicycles available, plus many other useful things. However unless you specifically confirm the times you're coming (and going) we must ask that you check in after 4pm, and check out by 12:00 pm Thanks and feel free to ask any questions. Oh - and a note regarding reviews - several of these reviews are from another site; we pasted them in. I put them in here so you could see that we work as thoroughly as we know how to do, in order to ensure our guests have a wonderful and memorable experience in this house. If there were a review with critical feedback, we would have posted that as well, and also responded with how we changed things so as not to have the issue occur again. This house is a serious venture for us, and our strongest wish is that our guests are completely satisfied. (and please don't take this as a challenge to give us a poor review!). VRBO reviews are marked as such. Thanks again!
