The SpaceThe treehouse is surrounded by windows, and doors, which connect you to the surrounding trees, and the magical beauty of the nature around you! The loft has a comfortable full size mattress, with crisp cotton sheets, and with the clear roof above you. You will experience the swaying of the trees, the dappled, filtered light, all right above your head... Wonderful place to dream, while sleeping, or lying awake! Take a good book, a journal, or sketchpad, and cozy up in the loft, while hearing the nature sounds surrounding you! The many birds will delight you with their songs! Treehouses bring us back to a state of childlike wonder, to memories of the simplicity of sleeping with the trees, while giving one a feeling of being nestled, and communing with all that nature begs for us to pay attention to! The treehouse is meant to keep you close to the outside...and with that, and the openness of the structure, you will be sort of camping in the trees...
** Treehouse is totally off the grid, no electricity, and no wifi...if you need to connect, you can wonder over to my yurt front porch and connect. Also, I can plug your phone in if needed as well! (During the cooler months, there is a propane gas fireplace for your source if heat, and cozy to snuggle in front of as well!
There are also plenty of blankets...
** The treehouse has all salvaged windows, with no screening, and is very much like a glampingesque experience...bugs are minimal, but always something is present, as it is the country, and a structure, in, and surrounded by trees!
** I understand the desire, and allure, experiencing a stay in a tree house is, but I want to note a few things to consider when booking your stay.
** The treehouse is designed to keep you very close to thevtrue tree house experience. There is a canopy of trees around and above you. So, depending on weather, the trees, during storms, rain, may cause twigs, and acorns to rain down as well on the roof!
The Treehouse is just that, a house in and with the trees! Magical, delightful, full of beauty, and wonder...but, there may also be some flying pests, ie: bugs
Harmless, a wonderful, and necessary part of natures web, and they, well, have their purpose. I suggest you bring what children have, a sense of wonder and amazement!
If you try and enjoy the adventure, the magic, the symbiotic nature, and of natures relationship with us, your experience should then be full of delight!
Enjoy the space!

Please do not leave outdoor fire
fire pit unattended, and when done, douse fire with water to insure it is out! Interaction with GuestsI love sharing my property with others, as well as meeting new people!
I am also mindful and respect just how much, or little, interaction guests prefer. I will respect your privacy, and getaway, and ask all guests to be mindful of music, etc., so we can all enjoy and experience this tranquil, and peaceful respite...
* I am always ( unless someplace where I am in accessible to cell service), available to answer questions, guide you, or suggest places of interests, etc. , as well as any help, or assistance you may need! I am here to accommodate your needs, and want my guests to truly enjoy all they can at Argyle Cabins!! The NeighborhoodMy neighborhood is a quiet rural spot on a country dirt road with great, but barely ever seen neighbors. Out here everyone is busy tending to their property, be it farm animals, gardening, or just doing all the chores that are required living a rural life! If you listen you can hear the horse whinny at the landowner next door, or the sheep herd (baaa) in the back of the land! The area is teaming with wildlife. At night, the abundance of stars against the dark night sky, will amaze you! Fireflies magically illuminate the summer nights! And when it's the frogs mating season, which are abundant along the ponds edge, their chorus will sing you to sleep!
Great sunsets as well!
I love where I live, when there is something needed the neighbors are always ready and willing to lend a hand! And when we can we get together for some socializing, we all catch up with each others lives. Out here we respect each others privacy, but think nothing of walking up to each others door and saying hello, or asking for a hand! Getting AroundThere is no public transportation in this rural community. If you are planning a trip without a vehicle, there is a convenient Amtrak Station in Fort Edward, approx 15 - 20 minute taxi ride. The driver will usually gladly stop at a good market as well, if needing groceries! Other Things to NoteThere is a rustic, compost outhouse, down the steps, ground level...
There is an outdoor shower area near the parking area that all three guest cabins/treehouse share (If you can conveniently bring towels, great, otherwise I can provide them)...I do provide natural, biodegradable soap, shampoos... Please only use my supplied products, or if you use natural as well.
(The water, and soap do drain to the ground), and keeping the land, and wildlife safe from chemical, etc, is of utmost importance here. Please be mindful :)
