The NeighborhoodOur property is on a bus route and the road is very quite. We live a short walk away from Champion Lakes which is a 2 KM long man made rowing lake. It’s a lovely stroll on a nice, hot summer evening. At the other end of our road we have a fish and chip shop, a take away chicken treat, an IGA supermarket, a tavern (pub), and a bottle shop. All in easy walking distance. Getting AroundFrom Perth airport, we are about 40 minutes by car (with notice, we could arrange to pick you up from airport for a lesser fee than a taxi). We have plenty of off road parking at our property if you wish to hire a vehicle. We have a bus stop right outside our home which is then a short ride to the train station. The southbound train will take you into Armadale, which has plenty of amenities including shops, banks, pubs, restaurants and a cinema. The northbound train will take you into the city of Perth. From Perth you can catch connecting trains and busses to Freemantle, Mandurah, Cottesloe and other beaches as well as the ferry service to Rottnest. Other Things to NoteThere are plenty of things to see and do in and around Perth during your stay. We will provide leaflets and brochures for you to browse over when you arrive. Here in WA, we have some of the prettiest beaches in the world, overlooking the Indian Ocean. With white sands, blue seas, our beaches are really worth a visit. As we are on the West Coast, we have sunsets to die for, which can also be just as spectacular in winter time. Perth is the most isolated city in the world and outside the metro area the scenery changes, into the true outback of Australia, with its harsh but beautiful land places like the pinnacles (where Billy Connelly danced naked round the lime stone rocks), wave rock.
