The SpaceWe do rent our entire home on occasion, please inquire! This studio is in an older historic neighborhood just outside Annapolis, though only 10-15 minutes from downtown Annapolis. The apartment is quiet and secluded with the Severn River close by.
Any questions about location or directions, please ask and we will try to be as specific as possible.
Usual check in is from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, later check-in is available.
There is plenty of parking and a private entrance to the studio.
***We also have another listing named Annapolis on the Severn Blue Room - A bed and breakfast for two with a queen-sized bed.***
This is a private studio apartment with a large bathroom located in the walkout basement of our Dutch Colonial. The French doors open to a hard surface apron, brick patio and gardens with chairs, a table with umbrella and a long grass lawn beyond. A path to the Severn River is steps away.
The studio has a comfortable queen-sized bed, sitting area with a full-size pull out couch and a small upholstered chair.
There is a small dining table, two chairs and a full kitchen.
The apartment is surprisingly bright with French doors and two full-sized windows. Light blocking curtains keep out the morning sun. The entrance faces east and a beautiful rising sun.
The kitchen is well equipped and includes dishes and utensils for four, pots and pans, baking equipment, stove, microwave, blender, mixer etc.
Coffee beans, a grinder, teas, sugar, stevia, and sweeteners are stocked for you. Let us know if you take milk or cream and we will put some in the fridge.
Though we don't provide breakfast for you every day we will have fresh fruit, staples and goodies in your larder so you won't have to run out in the morning for breakfast if you want to stay in.
Our well water is deliciously carbon filtered.
There is a small television with cable and WIFI.
Your private bathroom is up one stair from the studio. The powerful shower has easy entry and seat. Freshly laundered towels are on the shelves in your bathroom.
Amenities found in your bathroom are shampoo, conditioner, body/hand cream and a blow dryer.
A full length mirror, iron and ironing board, comfortable robes, robe hooks and luggage racks are in the closet. Guest AccessGuests are welcome to enjoy the beach which is a protected wetlands area, so unfortunately we have no fishing or crabbing from the jetty. There is also a small community dock. We have lovely covered decks, lawns and gardens. Walking and biking in the neighborhood is very safe.
The studio apartment and decks are not available for large parties. Interaction with GuestsCheck in is from 3:00 to 6:00 PM unless other arrangements are made. We stay up late, so late evening arrivals are not a problem. Please plan on texting us ASAP so that we can be available for your arrival.
Let us know if you need directions or recommendations.
We are at-home hosts and will be coming and going with work and play. We are available in person, by text or telephone. We take our guidance from you. Helping you during your visit would be a pleasure! The NeighborhoodWe are in a very safe, established neighborhood with old growth trees.
Getting AroundThe Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Conference and Visitors Bureau is an excellent source of information about the city and the county.
We have great taxi service and Uber as well, so prices for transport are reasonable.
The two miles+ into downtown Annapolis takes a few minutes by bike or car. The walk is beautiful but a bit longer, and leads you past Full Circle Healing Arts, across Weems Creek, by Ridgely Retreat Wellness Center and into West Annapolis: a great community of architecturally interesting homes, arts and antiques shops, services, and restaurants.
Continuing into the historic district you pass the United States Naval Academy Gate 8, College Creek and the crewing centers of USNA and St. John's College.
Walking or biking is a great way to see Annapolis and Eastport and several tour companies provide excellent services year round.
Annapolis has a water taxi or you can take a tour of the waterfront on the Harbor Queen. There is a complimentary bus accessed called the Circulator Trolley and there is also a bus service. If you search online for "Annapolis transportation" you will get information about those services.
There is a commuter bus to Washington, with the bus stop just a mile or so from us. There is also one to the metro/Amtrack. The metro station is 30-35 minutes from us. The closest station is New Carrollton. All times are estimated, traffic varies with days of the week and time of day. Other Things to NoteWe do rent the entire house on occasion. Please ask if you are interested.
