The SpaceThere are four private bedrooms available for renting with single, double or multiple beds, and with different views of the grounds. There are several bathrooms, so you can arrange to have private use of one if you wish.
Shared communal areas include a sunny, spacious kitchen, a cosy living room and a dining room, both with fireplaces, and there is also a large multipurpose room with a table-tennis table, board games, books and educational games for children. There is wifi (slow!) on the premises, a sound system with a varied music collection, plus movies.
It’s lovely to wander through the gardens and enjoy the huge variety of plants and trees, including areas with native plants, fruit trees, a stream and a pond. Binoculars are available for observing more than thirty species of birds, and you may also sometimes spot the resident hares, lizards, butterflies and frogs.
We have a 15x7.5 mts. swimming pool plus facilities and space to play other sports such as cricket, badminton, football, tennis, trampolining, etc. for which there is also some equipment available. Guest AccessYou can rent:
1- rooms with a shared bathroom
2- rooms/floors with a private bathroom
3- the entire house
You have use of all the shared communal spaces including the kitchen, pool and playroom. There is some sports equipment available (tennis rackets, badminton and cricket sets, balls of different types) and we have onsite parking. Laundry service can be provided at an additional cost. Interaction with GuestsWe respect your privacy but are available nearby if you need us. We love to meet and welcome people from all over the world. We speak Spanish, English and French and can make ourselves understood in Italian, Portuguese and Farsi. In terms of meals we can recommend nearby places, organise shopping for provisions to cook with and you can even order some healthy, delicious vegan homemade food from us. The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood is very quiet and is comprised mainly of weekend houses, with a lot of greenery and very little traffic. The closest town is a five minute drive away. You can shop for the basics there. The city of La Plata is also just a 20 minute drive away, with its cathedral, stadium, museums and cultural centres, shops, cinemas, bars and restaurants. Getting AroundWe are just over half an hour away from downtown Buenos Aires by car, so if you are brave enough to drive in crazy Argentine traffic, renting a car is a good option for doing several excursions in the neighbourhood. However if you want to relax in nature and just venture into town a couple of times, for about U$40 you can get a local cab to take you to the city. If you are feeling more adventurous, or prefer to spend time rather than money, you can take public transport, getting a coach into Buenos Aires or La Plata for about U$1.50 plus U$3 for the 10 minute cab ride to where the buses leave from. Other Things to NoteWe hope you can experience and enjoy direct contact with nature, and relax in a peaceful, beautiful and harmonious space. At different times of the year the property is used as a centre for philosophical retreats, nature-study activities for children and educational workshops for people of all ages.
