The SpaceWe are very close to the AIRPORT. Clayfield B and B is a MODERN, PRIVATE STUDIO with your OWN ENTRANCE and air-conditioned for your comfort. Sleeps two adults. A self-serve CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST is included. We hope you will leave feeling as though you have stayed in a home away from home. Free parking on the street right outside the house.
This is a STRICTLY NON-SMOKING property - inside or outside in the garden area please.
We are a short Taxi/Uber ride from the airport - about 10 - 15 minutes, depending on traffic.
The Studio is on the lower level of a recently renovated "Queenslander" in one of Brisbane's finest suburbs. Your front door opens onto a covered terrace surrounded by tropical gardens - ideal for breakfast or an afternoon drink. We have pleasant suburban views and our house is in a quiet cul-de-sac where there is plenty of free parking on the street.
The SELF-SERVE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST includes fresh fruit, juice, yoghurt, a choice of cereals, breads, spreads, teas, coffees etc. Some snacks provided for those arriving on late night flights. For a longer booking, the continental breakfast is provided for the first three mornings only and then it's up to you to do your own thing.
The Studio is comprised of a spacious sitting area which leads into the sleeping area where there's a queen size bed, with soft curtains dividing the two areas. There is a large walk-in wardrobe off the sleeping area. The Studio is situated under the main house, that is, on the ground floor. As my husband and I live upstairs, you may hear the odd foot step or two that accompanies every day living, however, we are acutely mindful of people's privacy, peace and quiet. We ask our guests to do likewise and to keep all noise to a minimum after 10 p.m.
We use quality bed linen/pillows on a beautifully comfy queen size bed.
The sitting area has a three seater couch and in the corner near the entrance is a well equipped kitchenette (convection microwave, kettle, toaster, sandwich press, bamix for smoothies, electric fry pan) and appropriate utensils, crockery etc. for self-catering if you prefer. Here there is also a small table and chairs. There is a BBQ outside on the terrace for your use only.
There is a private bathroom with separate toilet within the Studio. We provide a hair dryer as well as A'kin the totally natural luxurious Australian brand of toiletries.
The Studio is well equipped with every modern amenity - flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning/heating, fan, etc. This all opens onto the covered leafy terrace and garden.
The room is not serviced daily, as I believe people generally like to be left to their own devices when on holiday. You can completely relax and treat the area as your own, without being bothered by cleaners coming and going daily. If your stay is a longer one, extra towels will be left and the Studio will be serviced on a weekly basis at a pre-arranged time to suit everyone. PLEASE NOTE as there is no kitchen sink in the Studio, I wash up your kitchen utensils, plates etc daily for you - this works well for everyone.
Check in time is usually after 1.00 p.m. and check out is by 10.00 a.m. However, with prior arrangement, we are very flexible with check in/out times to fit in with International/Domestic flights etc and are pleased to welcome guests at any time of the day or night, if convenient.
There are two bikes with helmets for your use as well.
