The SpaceTreetops Cottage is 520 sq. ft. The cottage is a non-smoking and no pet for two people with a bedroom with a queen bed, a small dining room, living room with Dish TV, kitchenette, bathroom with tiled shower, and a large screened porch overlooking the lake. Treetops Cottage is perched on the edge of the bank extending out into the treetops. The cottage has four ceiling fans for cooling, and two wall heaters for cool mornings. This is our private estate, not a resort, so it is quiet and peaceful, ideal for a couple who enjoy reading, writing (the owner is an author), and the out-of-doors.The boat launch is one mile away, and Pelican Lake has excellent fishing for walleye and bass. There is no dock on the property. The shallow swimming area is soft sand below the cottage. Bring your guitar or banjo and serenade the night fisherman trolling for walleyes or participate in the local open mic night at a local arts center. Guest AccessThere are four golf courses within 15 miles, over fifty miles of paved biking/hiking nearby, 100's of small lakes in the area, a large egret nesting area at the base of the property, watch the white pelicans and cormorants fish together, and observe the occasional bald eagles. The Ashby area has live music and a farmer's market in the park once a week, a nearby arts center has open mike and free entertainment twice a month, several museums within a few miles, hike to the top of Inspiration Peak, wonderful restaurants throughout the area, 25 miles to Alexandria for touristic action and shopping. We have great free dock fishing within 2 miles of our property where you will catch northern pike and bluegills galore. We have a campfire circle overlooking the lake plus adirondack chairs and a log swing for your pleasure enjoying the marvelous view . Because we are located on the north shore, we have sun most of the day (the cottages are under large oak trees), the breeze usually blows toward our shore, and thus, we have few mosquitoes. The Ashby Senior Center plays whist every Friday afternoon. Regular bingo is available nearby. We often catch the casino bus for a nominal fee and travel with friends for a great time together. Consider yourself invited to all events! No pets nor smoking on the property.

    The SpaceThis charming new cottage, non-smoking, no pets, for two people is on the bank of Pelican Lake located beneath towering oaks at the edge of our flower gardens. It is a one-room, 400 square foot cottage with an enclosed screen porch, full kitchenette, queen bed, living and dining area plus a full bath with tub. The large window overlooks the lake, the screened porch overlooks the spacious lawn and flower gardens. There is no TV because we want our guests to enjoy the tranquility of the area. Guest AccessThree miles off I-94, Ashby is located amidst a number of good fishing lakes, hiking and biking trails, bird watching, historic sites and museums, funky restaurants, and a local art center. Bring your guitar or banjo, etc. and participate in open mike night (3rd Thursdays) at the art center or join us in the evening around the campfire ring. There are wineries in the area, 4 golf courses within 15 miles, a fishing dock with great fishing for northern pike and bluegills within 2 miles, and a sandy swimming beach on our property. We have no dock, but the boat launch is one mile away, and there is a lot of parking space for your boat and trailer on our property. We are not a resort; this is a private family estate where we rent the cottage when our children are not in residence. Interaction with GuestsWe try to make everyone feel part of our family. We encourage you to join us around the campfire, join us when we hop on the casino bus for the day with friends. We will show you the best fishing areas and provide maps to local events such as street fairs, bazaars, music in the parks. We like to play bridge, but every Friday afternoon there are several tables of Whist at the senior center. It's an easy game to learn and a good way to meet small town America.

This is our private estate, not a resort, so it is quiet and peaceful, ideal for a couple who enjoy reading, writing (the owner is an author), and the out-of-doors. The boat launch is one mile away, and Pelican Lake has excellent fishing for walleye and bass. There is no dock on the property, but we have plenty of area for you to park your boat. Guest AccessWe have 310 feet of waterfront for beautiful views. Located at the end of our property is a public park with a small river, the outlet of the lake, where pelicans, great blue herons, egrets, and cormorants wade and fish. It's a great place for bird watching as we are on the central flyway for migrating birds. Wild turkeys wander past nearly every day and bald eagles are frequently seen fishing out front. Only one mile away in Ashby, a full service town, is the access to the paved Central Lakes Biking/Hiking Trail that covers 55 miles from Fergus Falls to Osakis with stops along the way at other small towns. Cruise past numerous lakes, prairies, and hills for a photographic adventure. Nearly every weekend a local town will have a festival of some kind. For those who like to fish but have no boat, there is a public fishing dock on Frog Lake where we catch northern pike. For golfers, there are several inexpensive golf courses within a twenty mile radius plus museums, hill hiking, and antique shopping. Interaction with GuestsThe cabin is provided with a history of the area as well as brochures and directions to various activities. Although we offer no amenities other than a fully equipped cottage (no oven), guests have full access to all property including the fire pit, barbeque, and swimming area. The NeighborhoodThis is mostly a residential area of retired professionals, friendly folk who enjoy nature, fishing, and hiking. The senior center in Ashby has a pool table (for a fee),a small thrift store, and Whist is played there every Friday afternoon. The American Legion is open to the public and offers food, drink, and bingo. In addition, there are two restaurants in town featuring home cooked meals. Nearby towns offer pub food, some have gourmet restaurants, and wineries. You won't be bored. Getting AroundYou need a car. There is no bus service. Other Things to NoteIt is quiet and peaceful under the towering oaks and easily accessible. There are no stop lights in all of Grant County! From I-94 take Exit 77.

Private dock, campfire pit, deck with patio furniture, plenty of outdoor space for campers, tents, and other outdoor activities. Located next to quiet but newly improved public boat launch. Public campground on lake with bait shop, swimming beach, playground, etc. Small town with 2 restaurants, gas stations, movie rentals, grocery store located about 5 miles away. Full recreational lake without being too busy. Home is neither too rustic nor luxurious but adequately homey and comfortable for lake enjoyment.     Cabin for rent on East Battle Lake near Vining, MN. Come enjoy all the Ottertail County lakes area has to offer. East Battle is a deep/clean water lake that is perfect for swimming, fishing, and water sports. The cabin is located on a pleasantly landscaped lot with fantastic views of East Battle Lake.     This cozy cabin has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a large deck that sits right next to the water. The entire cabin is finished in pine and has a flat screen TV with Dish Network. There is a separate rec room with a pool table, poker table and a 42" TV. This is located on East Battle Lake, a 1900 acre lake know for its excellent fishing. There is also a fish cleaning house, a dock and a small boat lift for fishing boats.

Boat lifts are available for your boat with public access on the lake. The cabin has a great full kitchen and dining room. The deck has a grill and a wonderful view of the lake. Three bedrooms each with a queen bed. The Master bedroom has its own 1/2 bath. There is a futon and sleep sofa in the living room. Linens and towels provided.       If you are looking for a quiet, relaxed get-away we have the place for you in the lakes country of Minnesota. Our small lakeside cabin located on Clitherall Lake, one of Minnesota’s most pristine lakes, between Battle Lake and Clitherall, MN. Cabin is available for rental June 1- Oct. 1. We offer daily and full week stays. Our quaint, comfortable cabin is located in a quiet cul-de-sac off the main road. The cabin is approximately 100 feet from the lake shore. The lake is easily accessed by a short walk down the hill. You can relax on our roll-out dock in a quiet bay off the main lake. The public access is just down the shore, approximately 1000’, and once launched, you can keep your boat at our dock. There is excellent fishing and swimming in Clitherall Lake.       Welcome to Crystal Blue Retreat on Eagle Lake Eagle Lake contains 845 acres of Minnesota’s clearest and cleanest lake with a 24’ Secci disc reading which indicates its extreme clarity. Its Carribean colored water makes you feel like you’re sitting by the ocean. Eagle Lake is one of a kind here in the Heart of Minnesota’s Otter tail lakes area. The lake is lined with sugar sand and the swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving is fantastic. If you look hard enough, you may even find some of it’s Fresh Water Coral. If it’s fishing you like, Eagle Lake is known for its Bass population. More recently, stringers of Walleyes have started showing up more frequently. The Home was built in 2007 and has a new 14X30 deck overlooking the 75’ Sugar Sand beach. At this time it sleeps up to 15 people with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and a hide-a-bed. There is a 2 car detached garage available for parking your vehicle. Wireless Internet, paddle boat, 36' dock, beach chairs, fish cleaning station, public access is 1 mile away. Best swimming conditions in the area. Great level shoreline for the kids to play in the water.

      The SpaceThis property includes the home, yard and private beach and dock with a table and lake side seating. The fireplace in the basement level is not to be used because it requires special fuel. The main level wood burning fireplace may be used and there is firewood by the shed in the front yard. Guest AccessGuests can access all of the home, yard, lakeshore/beach, and dock. The boatlift on the right of the dock is negotiable, so please contact us if interested for weight limits. The boatlift on the left is not for use. The boathouse down below is private and will be locked. So please bring your own lake toys/water toys. The shed in the front yard will also be locked and is not to be accessed. Interaction with GuestsYou may contact either Ardelle at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) or Brenda at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) with questions during your stay. Friday or Saturday check-in preferred. For internet, we usually hotspot to our devices, as WiFi is unavailable on the lake. This works very well. The NeighborhoodThere is a great sandwich/coffee shop in a nearby resort off Highway 210, left on Clitheral Lake Road, down a couple miles and you will find it on your left. Justice Two. They serve all the latest lattes and frappes, and ice cream. They have a second story loft with pool table, foosball, cards, etc. for entertainment, especially on a rainy day or when you have had enough sun. Getting AroundThere is a driveway to the house, and it turns into a grass yard and you may park on the edge of the grass yard. Please do not park in the center of the grass yard. Other Things to NoteThe small town of Battle Lake has several restaurants and shops for boating/water toys (paddle boards, etc.), including a hardware store and grocery store called Larry's market. There are banks, churches, pubs, etc. We recommend Stella's for great Italian food and wine, and they have popular outdoor seating as well. The Boathouse has a great chef. Ottertail Lake next door has several places to rent jet skis, boats, inner tubes for tubing on lakes or down rivers (e.g. Barkys Resort Rentals). Phelps Mill is a fun visit.
