The SpaceWant to take in Manhattan but leave the noise and prices behind, stay with us and find an undiscovered Victorian little town with great bars and restaurants that you can walk to and stumble home if needs be! Many of our guests take advantage of our two bikes to ride (flat) to Sandy Hook Gate way National Park which has the most beautiful of beaches in New Jersey. We have a lovely quiet back yard with a Gas BBQ available for guests use. We are a popular destination for New Yorkers and the boroughs especially Brooklyn , we can collect you and your luggage from the Seastreak ferry terminal in Atlantic Highlands or Highlands or you can walk or catch a local cab. You don't need a car rental, our town's bars and restaurants are a 12-15 minute walk , in a pedestrian friendly community. Guest AccessAccess to all common areas including lovely back yard with BBQ gas grill and firepit. If you let me know ahead of time I can ensure firewood is purchased and available our local store sells small bundles for about $10 or bring your own. Interaction with GuestsWe are both available to assist you with travel plans and if we are around pick up and drop off at the ferry terminal a 15 minute walk away. This is our everyday home ,we will be either in a bedroom on the second floor or in the lower level bedroom. We are a great fit for couples who want to take advantage of the beaches and night life. We need to discuss kitchen use for other than making coffee or a light breakfast etc. Use of the BBQ is not a problem but coordinating groups using the kitchen for elaborate dinner meals is problematic as you might understand . The NeighborhoodQuiet, residential area with lovely beach walks only 4 minutes from the house. Getting AroundThe Seastreak ferry is 5 minutes away and can take you into Manhattan. Train service is also available via NJTransit. Other Things to NoteWe have 2 bikes available for rental for $20 a day. There is an extensive bike path system to the beautiful beaches at Sandy Hook State Park as well as north to Keyport. We have a two man sit on kayak with life jackets on our beach,please coordinate with Don if you want to use. Yes there is a story behind that comment ! We have an elderly yellow labrador dog who likes attention. Allergy sufferers and non dog friendly guests please note.

The SpaceThe apartment is in the first floor of an 11 floor Condo. One reserverd parking available (#65). Wash/dryer machine available on the lobby (a hard right out of the elevator). GYM available in the first floor front of the elevators. Guest AccessYou will have access to all common areas, kitchen, livingroom and pool table area. Access to the TV (55") with amazon fire TV (including HBO and Netflix). Finally you have access to the kitchen to cook and store food. Water and beers are spacially for you! The SpaceMy home is a comfortable size and has a beautiful view of New York City. It is clean and neat and many of its features have been recently updated. The guest room has all new crisp, cotton linens and a nice sized closet to store your items. Guest AccessThe living room and kitchen are available to you. I only ask that you clean up after yourselves and leave the areas as you found them. Interaction with GuestsWe will gladly offer help to guests, if needed. I try to prepare dinner daily and breakfast occasionally and you are welcome to join us only if I am planning to prepare them for my husband and I. Otherwise, restaurants are one block away in town. The NeighborhoodThis location is unique because it is a 3 minute walk to restaurants, movie theater, parks, harbor, a small bay side beach, and the Seastreak ferry to NYC. Atlantic Highlands is a Victorian New Jersey Shore town with a lively night life and colorful history. Beautiful Historic Sandy Hook Beach is a five minute ride away. The Lenape Woods hiking trail is 0.2 miles from the home(five minute walk) . A mile from the home is the Atlantic Highlands Marina which features the highspeed ferry to NYC (35min ride), as well as fishing boat day trips. The Marina area has a multitude of restaurants,and shops, as well as live theater, summer concert series, tennis courts, skate park, and the bayshore walking/biking trail to Sandy Hook. The bayshore walking trail runs along side the altantic ocean and offers beautiful views of the NY skyline in one direction and Sandy Hook Beach in the other. One town over a bike ride or 3minute car ride away the Higlands offers fresh seafood resaurants as well. The Super Market is short walk from the home as well. A short drive (fifteen minutes) will bring you to Red Bank night life in one direction, and Pier Village in Long Branch in the other. Ten minutes from the home Keansburg water park and amusment park and beach are another fun outting as is the middletown miniature golf course you pass on route. Up for a museum visity Sandy Hook Fort Hancock museum, or twin lights state historic site, or take a short Ferry Ride in to NYC and visit the museum of natural history. This is a truly family fun location.

The SpaceThe house is 3 floors, 2 units. My boyfriend and I live on the first floor unit. The rental space is the second and third floor. The second floor has a kitchenette, large living room space with a comfy couch, and a second living space with a pullout couch, and one bathroom. The third floor is 3 bedrooms. Two rooms with queen beds, and one with a day bed/ twin trundle bed. (4 beds total) You could sleep 9 at the most (8 comfortably), but remember there's only one bathroom! Guest AccessYou will have private access to the second and third floors. We will have shared access on the porch and back patio. Interaction with GuestsMy boyfriend and I enjoy being outdoors and meeting people. We work full time during the week but if we are around/free we would be happy to show you around town, have a backyard bbq, go for a bike ride, boat ride, or even take out the kayak/paddle boards down the street! If you want your vacation to be private, we will leave you alone as well! We are very easy-going! The NeighborhoodOur Neighborhood is Fabulous! We live walking distance to first ave, which is filled with great dining and bars. The ferry to NYC is a 45 min-1 hr boat ride and is just a 5 min walk down the street, next to a marina that offers fishing charters and party boats. There is Carton Brewery down the street on First Ave, with a great Craft beer selection. There are several fantastic towns nearby, Red Bank (15 mins), Sea Bright (10 mins), Highlands (5 mins), Long Branch / Pier Village(20 mins), Asbury Park (30min), and Belmar (45 mins). Getting AroundTake the Seastreak Ferry Atlantic Highlands Terminal to/from NYC during the week, or Highlands terminal (the next town over a 5-10 min drive) during the weekends. There is a bus that can take you to Red Bank and Highlands for around $3.00. A NJ transit Train in Red Bank can take you down the shore to Belmar, Asbury etc. You can always use uber and first time users can use our discount code 52qm1 Other Things to NoteStreet parking is available. We have a washer and dryer that we will allow guests to use while we are home, as it is attached to our downstairs unit.

The home is actually a duplex and built in 193 renovated 2016. Down stairs is a living room, dining room (seats 8-10), new kitchen, small bunk bed room, and a comfortable side porch with bay breezes. Upstairs there are three bedrooms (2 Queen size one with one with two singles) and two bathrooms (master bathroom is ensuite). Also a pull out coach in the living room. This is the first season offering this home for rent (sorry it is not ADA compliant, due to its age). It is a supporting structure in a Historic District, and the country's oldest light house is in your back yard. ( 1764 ) This is probably the most serene location on the Jersey shore with the ability to have the NY SeaStreak Ferry drop you feet from the front door (40 minute ride to Manhattan).       The SpaceIt is a nice size room with a large queen bed. I will also be in the home. However you have access to the primary living spaces in the house including a great fireplace which is perfect for those fall and winter days or evenings. You are welcome to sit in the living room and watch TV , however the bedroom is also equipped with a flat screen TV with HBO and Showtime and NFL Network . You also have access to Wi-Fi . You will be comfortable. Guest AccessGuess have access to the entire living space in the house except for my bedroom and my office. Your welcome to eat in the kitchen or the dining room or hang out in the living room and watch TV. The bedroom also has a flat screen TV with HBO and Showtime and you have access to Wi-Fi.
