The SpaceCome and enjoy one of the most beautiful parts of Western Australia, the Southwest Cape to Cape Region, the one and only Augusta (just over 3h south of Perth). It is a quiet and just beautiful little town at the most southwestern tip of the continent (Cape Leeuwin). Have a look at the 2 following websites to see what’s on offer: (URL HIDDEN) (URL HIDDEN) Our guestroom is simple, but clean. It’s one flight up the stairs, next to the open-plan office, and comprises of a good quality sofa bed, with 2 separate mattresses. The bed is 1.5m by 2m and is on the firm side of things. A little table with 2 chairs will compliment your stay. Downstairs you'll have your own bathroom including shower and toilet. Kitchen usage is welcomed, but keep in mind that we don’t have a microwave as we believe it is not contributing to a good health. We do provide tea and coffee, but please bring your own food and your own breakfast. So you can listen to music, watch TV or enjoy our breathtaking views, and/or we can sit together for a chat. You can also use our internet for your correspondence. But more importantly enjoy our beautiful beaches and go for a walk to see what is so unique about this place. With a bit of luck (depending on the time of the year) you can see dolphins, stingrays, pelicans, and even whales or seals. You can go surfing, kiting, windsurfing, cycling, snorkeling, swimming, fishing or whatever. Between December and March Augusta would earn itself a medal for a world-class spot for windsurfing and kite-surfing. See the following weather chart which is daily updated: (URL HIDDEN) The possibilities are almost endless. Some might enjoy a caves tour, others a visit to one of the wineries. Some will enjoy a bushwalk to catching up with kangaroos, others a visit to our lighthouse. Try to count the stars at nighttime, there is no chance for you to succeed. Please feel welcome. Price for a one person is A$ 55 per night, for a couple A$ 95 per night. Sorry, adults only! P.S.: The whale photo is self-made, so please apologize for the poor quality. Nothing comes close if you have your coffee in the morning and a flock of whales is jumping up and down in front of your living room.... Please note that we would appreciate that no shoes are to be worn inside our home, however slippers are provided. Thank you. Other Things to NoteWe do provide tea and coffee, but please bring your own food and your own breakfast. Due to the open staircase we won't accept guests with children, sorry. Check in time from 5pm, check out time by 10am!

You'll have access to your own toilet and bathroom with a shower and bath. The deck is also lovely and protected from the worst of the weather, so you're welcome to have your breakfast on the deck, enjoy the birds in the late afternoon or a relax with a sunset drink. Basics such as milk, tea and coffee are supplied and you are more than welcome to supply your own food and cook for yourself using the well appointed kitchen. Just leave things clean and tidy. I have a rambling backyard, including a veggie garden, which you're welcome to wander in and pick whatever's ripe. The backyard is not fenced off, so this could be something for you to consider if you have small children. Interaction with GuestsI live in my home, so clearly I'll be around! How much I'll be around depends on my work schedule, which varies. I'm always contactable by phone, and will endeavour to be here to welcome you, show you around and answer any questions while you settle in. If you're looking for a party house, then I suggest you keep looking! If you're into books, recycling, gardening, beaches, cooking/eating, music, travelling and nature, then you've come to the right place! Depending on your interests, I'm happy to make recommendations if you're wondering how to spend your time. For example: nearby bush walks to find orchids, a whale watching cruise if you're visiting during winter, lunch spots that are family friendly, or the best local fish and chips. There is much to see and do, all you need to do is ask! The NeighborhoodAugusta is a quiet town and a great place to unwind and get away from it all. We have the stunning Blackwood river meeting the Indian and Southern oceans, and we're surrounded by gorgeous native forests. I call it the trifecta of awesomeness. Augusta also has a reputation as a world class kite-surfing destination. This means it can get really windy and I recommend you pack some warmer layers to wear just in case! Getting AroundI have plenty of parking available at my place, and you'll likely need a car or other vehicle to get here. You're welcome to bring your own bikes or kayaks if you have them, and there is ample space to store them securely. The river is on your doorstep and there are lots of trails in the forest to explore. There is a bus service from Perth to Augusta, but local taxis and public transport are pretty well non-existent. Other Things to NoteI have a tiny dog. So if you're allergic to dogs this could be something for you to consider. She's a Miniature Pinscher, is quite mature and sleeps a lot, so chances are you won't see or hear much of her. But yes, a dog does live in this home and other dogs are not welcome to stay.
