Only 9 miles to the historic marketing town of Dumfries with its excellent shopping and leisure facilities. There are numerous attractions and activities close by including the 7 Stanes mountain bike trail, Dino and Mabie Farm Park, Dalscone Farm Fun, Caerlaverock, Threave and Drumlanrig Castles, Robert Burns House and Ellisland, Aviation museum, numerous golf courses, wildlife reserves, Dark Skies park and trout fishing on the River Nith, making this all a fantastic base for your holiday. Due to no public transport in the immediate area a car is essential to get around. Farm activities: guest are welcome to explore the farm on our farm walk and meet all the farm animals including Belted Galloways, sheep, chickens, ducks and horses. Between the months of March and June it is lambing time on the farm and guests are welcome to help feed the lambs too.
The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 twin with en-suite shower and WC. On the ground floor, 1 double with en-suite wet room with shower, WC, additional grab rails and disability shower seat and 1 double with 2 additional singles. Shower room: with shower and WC. Lounge: with TV/DVD, on the first floor. Lounge/kitchen/diner: with woodburner (first bucket of coal included) and TV/DVD. Kitchen area, with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Outside: garden with seating area. Amenities: ample off-road parking. Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no smoking. 3 dogs welcome. Location: shops, pubs and restaurant 2 miles. Arrival: 4pm.
