Within a mile plus, there is Avila Barn, Avila Hot Springs & a bike/hiking trail , and a secure walking/ biking trail to Avila Beach & Sycamore Hot Springs. San Luis Obispo, Shell & Pismo Beaches are minutes away. Getting AroundThere is no public transportation. Designated private parking available in front & back of the house, but feel free to pull around the side & park by your door. The Avila Beach Pier is the first of the three piers and was first constructed in 1908 by the county of San Luis Obispo. Over 2 thousand local residents gathered there April 30, 1908 when President Teddy Roosevelt's “Great White Fleet” anchored offshore! The Harford Pier was developed in 1873 and now is used for fishing, restaurants and commercial fishing. The last pier, the California Polytechnic State University Pier, is an educational/marine research facility. The campground shown here is located in Avila Beach, a beautiful coastal town that is absolutely stunning! This upscale home on wheels is all yours and the view is included! We've decided to place our trailer on the water in Avila Beach or any campground you might choose in San Luis Obispo County, California. At this location you'll be steps from the sand and Avila Bay, but any SLO County campground you choose will have easy access to the beach, hiking, golf, restaurants, walking piers, fishing, boating, and unique shopping. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to experience one of California's best camping experiences on the Central Coast in the total comfort of this private 250 square foot home on wheels. The RV has a complete kitchen, small bath, a sizeable living area, and a cozy bedroom with queen size walk around bed. This unit is completely furnished and outfitted with everything you'll need to enjoy the beautiful Central Coast area. Sip wine while watching the sea life and the sun set on the water, or wake to the smell of the wine country vineyards. It just doesn’t get any better than this. Included are 2 bikes with lock and helmets for you to cruise the vineyards, the Bob Jones bike trail or any number of bike friendly roads and paths that weave their way through this beautiful area. Downtown SLO, Pismo Beach, Morro Bay, and Avila Beach are all favorites. Avila Hot Springs is also an easy ride, or take the See Canyon route where you can taste amazing Central Coast wines. Important note about the campground at Port San Luis Harbor, Avila Beach: All of the SLO County campgrounds on the Central Coast accept reservations, except for Avila Beach. From May 1st through November 1st we recommend that you make campground reservations at one of the other campgrounds, just to be sure you have a back up if Avila is full. Port San Luis (Avila) Campground does not take reservations so if placing the RV at this location during peak season is your first choice, plan to check in on a Monday – Thursday, and be prepared for second choice, especially if your trip is on or near a holiday weekend. Monday – Thursday check in will increase your chances of getting a site because the campground at Avila Beach is first come first serve and no reservations are taken by the Harbor District. Off peak times, usually after October and before May are much less crowded and you should not have a problem getting a spot at Avila during off peak. Our recommendation: Search all of the SLO county and state campgrounds. Pick 2 or 3 of your top choices and we’ll place the RV according to your top choice. There are many very nice RV sites in SLO County that just never fill up so you will be accommodated, but to be sure it’s always nice to make a reservation. Most campgrounds have very liberal cancellation policies so if Avila is first choice and we get your spot, simply call to cancel your back up reservation. You will know which of your choices we secured for you well before you check in. This Avila Beach location has approximately 20 “full hook-up sites” and 30 dry camping sites. Full hook up provides water, power, and sewer. This type of site requires no need to move trailer to empty the holding tanks, run generator, or refill water tanks for the entire length of your stay. On the other hand, the “dry camping” sites have no utilities. There are two 38 gallon waste water tanks on board and one 45 gallon fresh water tank. With the right kind of “conservation” and utilization of campground showers you can easily dry camp for a week without moving the trailer. There will be an extra $75 dollar fee if tanks need to be emptied during your stay. The Airbnb charges are for rental of this RV only. You will incur an additional cost for the campsite. Plan to spend from $40 to $60 per night in addition to the cost of renting this RV. The price varies due to several factors such as full hook ups or no hook ups, as well as whether the campground is private or public, state or county. We will place the RV at your first choice of campground between 10am and noon on the day of your check in. If first choice is not available, we’ll set up at choice number two. We will contact you between 10am and noon on the day of your check in to confirm your location and campsite number. You will then be able to communicate your name and site number at the gate for directions, or if no attendant is at the gate, you can drive right up to your spot and park in front of the RV. If we place the RV at Avila Beach or other campground location that requires payment, we will pay for the first night of your stay. You will be required to pay for your additional nights of your trip on the next day at the self-service kiosk, to the camp host, or at the front desk. We will leave a note in the RV with the additional amount due. The SpaceBeautiful guest cottage at White Owl Orchard. Private with fabulous views. In Avila often all the surrounding areas can be foggy/cloudy but we have sunshine. You will see below the cottage petite syrah grapes when in season. We live on 3 acres and all the other properties in this exclusive neighborhood are on acreage as well, so there is a lot of tranquility. The cottage is a nature lover's paradise! This area is great for bird and animal watching. You will often see heron, hawks etc.. as right across the street from the cottage is See Canyon Creek. We named the property White Owl Orchard after the white owl we saw flying on our property. We are about 7 minutes drive from San Luis Obispo and about 5 minutes from Avila Beach. It is the perfect romantic getaway! Guest AccessNo Outside Vistors, (even for pick up). One Car only and no more than 2 guests. The NeighborhoodWe are in an exclusive neighborhood that is peaceful, beautiful, and near all the wonderful activities the central coast has to offer. We are near the Bob Jones trail (family friendly bike/ walking trail that can be followed all the way to the beach). You can access this trail from Avila Village which is about a 1/2 mile to 1 mile from the cottage on the right. We are both close to both the beach and San Luis Obispo! Nearest running/ biking trail- Bob Jones Trail- turn left at the end Avila Valley Dr. (the way you came in) onto San Luis Bay Dr., and then turn right into the Avila Bay Club parking lot (the parking lot that is right before you come to the stoplight), you will see a sandwich and gift store (Woodstone’s). Park there and you can access the trail near the restaurant. The trail goes all the way to the ocean. The official start of the trail is off of Ontario Rd. They have a designated parking area there. If you would prefer this you would also turn left onto San Luis Bay Dr., but you would turn left at the stoplight onto Avila Beach Dr. follow this until you see Ontario Rd. on your left the trail head/ parking lot will be on your left. Woodstone’s is the nearest sandwich/ small convenience item store. (See paragraph above this.) The nearest gas station is 2 exits to the North. Get off on Los Osos Valley Rd. Turn left. There is a gas station on your right or you can continue straight and go to Target (has a Starbucks inside and some grocery items), Home depot or Costco and Whole Foods. There has been a lot of traffic on this exit because of road work. There is also a gas station 2 exits to the South, take Spyglass exit (however this is a pricey station). The nearest grocery store would be California Fresh Market in Pismo Beach. Take 5 Cities Dr. Exit. Turn left at the light pass The Outlets and it will be on the right. There is also a Starbucks in this shopping center. Sycamore Mineral Springs- Take a left at the end of Avila Valley Dr. onto San Luis Bay Dr., take a left onto Avila Beach Dr., Sycamore will be on the right. They offer private tubs up in the oak trees/ massage and they have a nice restaurant. To get to the beach by car take a left at the end of Avila Valley Dr. onto San Luis Bay Dr., take a right onto Avila Beach Dr. Follow this down and you will see the city of Avila on the left. There is public parking. ($5.00 for the day), If it’s not too busy you may find street parking. Ocean Grill in Avila Beach offers great food and views. If it is summertime Avila Beach has a wonderful farmers market on Friday nights from about 5- 8. They have music and food. Similar to SLO’s Thursday night farmer’s market, but smaller. Olde Porte Inn has stand there with some great fish tacos. For restaurants, besides Woodstone’s in Avila Beach there are a number of quality places, cheap and expensive. In Shell Beach about 4 miles south (take Spyglass exit- and then south on the frontage road), there are some excellent eateries. In the Shell Beach “village” less expensive would be Mei’s Chinese, Shell Beach Brew, Zorro’s Mexican, and Dells Pizzeria. More expensive would be Ventana, Kanpai Sushi, Marisol at the Cliffs, Lido’s at Dolphin Bay and Spyglass Inn. If you go to Shell Beach there is a lovely little park at the end of Capistrano St. on the cliffs called Eldwayen Ocean Park. Often in the early evening people gather there with a glass of wine to watch the sunset and socialize. During the summer there is also free concerts in the plaza on Friday evenings at the mission in San Luis Obispo. They sell alcoholic beverages there. There are many activities in the area, let us know what your interests are and we would be happy to direct you. Getting AroundYou will need a car. When you come up the driveway please park on the far left. (It is easier to turn around in the driveway, then it is to back down). One vehicle only. Please park on the far upper left as you come to the top of the driveway. Other Things to NoteWe will provide some light breakfast items for your stay that will be included along with some basic kitchen needs-spices, etc.. Gluten and dairy free options. There is a nice sandwich/ gift shop about a half mile from the house called Woodstone's.

Holidays and special events are charged at the Summer rate or may be at a higher rate. The $500 Reservation Fee is to be sent with the Vacation Rental Contract. This amount applies to rent. Thirty days prior to arrival, balance of rent, cleaning fee, refundable Security Deposit & 12% County Taxes are due. VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card or personal checks are accepted for the Reservation Fee. The balance is payable by personal check. Other arrangements may be made with international travelers. Cashiers checks are not accepted. *On late bookings, if the full amount will be placed on a charge card, there will be a convenience fee which will depend on the amount charged. Discounts are available for longer stays in winter. There is a substantial monthly winter discount. Cancellation Policy: For cancellations more than 90 days prior to arrival, there is a fee of $100. For cancellations less than 90 days but more than 30 days, you will be charged the amount of the Reservation Fee. There are no refunds for cancellations less than 30 days prior to arrival. Should the property re-rent with no lost days, there will be a full rent refund but $50 will be deducted from the Security Deposit for time and paperwork. Avila Beach is located on the central California coast. It is a less than 5 miles from Pismo Beach but the weather is much warmer and less foggy than other nearby beaches. It is located in a small cove which creates its own micro-climate that is very pleasant. Since it is in a cove off the main coast line, it is a south facing beach. The ocean is calm and creates an excellent place to swim. Other central coast beaches have ocean waves and under tows that make it very difficult to go into the ocean. Avila Beach is the perfect swimming and sun bathing place to hang out. There are life guards on duty during summer months and busy holiday times. The weather in Avila is amazing. Areas all around Avila are often covered in fog but our beach will be beautiful and sunny. We call it a hidden gem. If you like the hustle and bustle of a big city or the excitement of night clubs, then Avila Beach probably will not fulfill your needs. It is a beautiful area with places in close proximity where you can take hikes or bike rides. Of course, long morning beach walks are also very refreshing. There are piers to walk or fish on. There is usually am abundance of sea life including sea lions, seals, birds, dolphins and yearly whales. Rentals available include paddle boards, kayaks and bicycles.

          RV Rental delivered and set up for camping in Avila Beach, California. Our 26 foot travel trailer is set it up at your campsite, ready for your arrival, or meet you there! This is a campground which requires additional nightly fees that range from $45 per night to $60. The campground is called Port San Luis Harbor and located in Avila Beach, CA a beautiful coastal town that is absolutely stunning! This upscale home on wheels is all yours and the view is included! We've decided to place our trailer on the water in Avila Beach or any campground you might choose in San Luis Obispo County, California. This campground does NOT take reservations so plan to arrive on a weekday, Sunday through Thursday. We can meet you there as early as 10am when people begin checking out. It is advisable to have a 2nd option chosen at a nearby campground such as the Avila Beach KOA which does take reservations. At this location you'll be steps from the sand and Avila Bay, but any San Luis Obispo County campground you choose will have easy access to the beach, hiking, golf, restaurants, walking piers, fishing, boating, and unique shopping. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to experience one of California's best camping experiences on the Central Coast in the total comfort of this private 250 square foot home on wheels. Be prepared for second choice, especially if your trip is on or near a holiday weekend. Monday – Thursday check in will increase your chances of getting a site because the campground at Avila Beach is first come first serve and no reservations are taken by the Harbor District. Off peak times, usually after October and before May are much less crowded and you should not have a problem getting a spot at Avila during off peak.
