And the city -- known as the “City of Champions” -- is home to heavy weight boxing legends Rocky Marciano and Marvelous Marvin Hagler. Brockton is also known for its lush parks and playgrounds, including the 756-acre D.W. Field Park. Its ponds, native trees, and wildlife are complemented by bike trails, jogging paths, and D.W. Field’s 18-hole, 70-par public golf course. Getting AroundLocated on the north side of Brockton abutting the town of Avon, this working-class neighborhood is a 10 minute walk to convenience stores and shops, including Stop and Shop, Walgreens, Walmart, McDonald's, Dairy Queen, KFC, and other fast-food establishments. The Westgate Mall (featuring Macy's, Sears, Best Buy, Gap, and other brand named stores) is only a 5 minute car ride away.
Brockton is 45 minutes from downtown Boston and an hour from Providence, RI. The property is a 15 minute walk to the commuter rail, two blocks from the bus stop, and minutes from 1-95. Located south of Boston, the location provides easy access to Plymouth, MA (Plymouth Rock and the “Landing of the Pilgrims"), as well as Cape Cod, including Provincetown and Martha's Vineyard.
