The SpaceAmenities::::::::: Nestle into two private double staterooms, bathroom with separate shower, full galley (kitchen) with oven, stove, refrigerator, freezer, coffee-maker and microwave, dining and sitting area with gas fireplace and a view that will tingle your tingle-able parts. The large, comfortable cockpit is perfect for outdoor dining, lounging, snoozing, schmoozing, bird-watcing, fish-stalking, star-gazing, seal-sighting and general all-around nirvana-ing. (Somebody say "ahoy!) Sail Packages::::::::: Go to Dreamboat Adventure Sailing (usual suffix) for more information on the full range of day sails, destinations and overnight packages we offer. Guest AccessFrom Stem to Stern::::::::: All of the living areas of the boat are for you to enjoy. We include the "outdoor" areas too. Like the afore-mentioned cockpit, the foredeck and on top of the deck house. We can even crank you up the mast if it strikes your fancy. (We're not responsible for any damage to your fancy.) Please don't::::::::: We ask that you not tinker with the electronic navigation equipment or radios. Besides, if you're confused about where you are just ask and we'll tell you. About the marina::::::::: Winslow Wharf Marina is right on the downtown Winslow waterfront. You can walk to everything! You will have access to all of the facilities of the marina, including more showers, laundry, chandlery and hundreds of beautiful yachts to gawk at. (But you can gawk with a smirk, because you'll be staying on the prettiest girl in the fleet.) Sail charters::::::::: Day sails, sunset sails, and destination sails are available by request and for an additional fee. Ask about our "Anchor-Out Package" to spend the night securely anchored in a quiet area of Eagle Harbor -- for an unbelievably romantic and peaceful evening. We also provide multi-day charters by prearrangement. Island fun!::::::::: You don't have to spend all of your time in Seattle. The island has plenty to offer, on a quieter, more laid-back scale. Restaurants, pubs, cafes and coffee houses are mere steps from the marina. (Literally, like maybe 2 dozen steps.) Wander a block or so further and you'll be in the center of our quaint little island town with world-class restaurants, boutiques, bakeries, coffee shops, bookstores, galleries, jewelers, movie theaters, free concerts in the park and a Saturday Farmer's Market in the summer, and our new art museum. Kayak and stand-up paddle board rentals are right next door. And bike rentals are only 2 blocks away. For those on foot or bike::::::::: Oh Joy II is only a few blocks from the Bainbridge Ferry Terminal and even closer to the rest of Winslow. Access from Sea-Tac airport is as easy as taking the light rail into downtown Seattle's University Street Station, strolling to the ferry dock a few blocks away and taking the short trip to Bainbridge Island. Once on the island you can amble through the waterfront park right to the dock where Oh Joy II will be waiting for you. (She'll be excited, but she'll calm down if you scratch her behind the mast.) For those with wheels::::::::: If you're driving, free parking is adjacent to the marina. Interaction with GuestsWhat to expect when you arrive::::::::: We'll meet you at the marina to help you settle in for your stay, explain the mysteries of the marine toilet and answer your questions. Then we'll get out of your hair. (But we're only 10 minutes away, so we're ready to assist you with whatever you may need.) Did we mention sailing?::::::::: Not to belabor the point, but a sail on beautiful Puget Sound is not to be missed. If you're interested in adding sailing excursions to your trip just let us know. Oh Joy II is a very comfortable and capable ocean-going sailboat and we offer day sails, sunset sails and over-night trips from 1 night to 2 full weeks. Popular Add-ons: •••Anchor Out Overnight Boat & Breakfast: +$145 -- The ultimate overnight experience! We'll sail direct to the anchorage, secure the boat for the evening and return for you the next morning. Includes a lite breakfast aboard with locally roasted coffee, teas, local pastries, fruit and yogurt. (Seasonal.) •••Three Hour Sail: +$360 •••Sunset Sail: +$395 for 2, contact us for group rate. Includes an evening sail, appetizer and Prosecco. •••Sailing Lessons: No charge with any day sail. The NeighborhoodThe village of Winslow is quaint and charming. And Oh Joy II is docked right on the waterfront. Pubs, diners and world-class restaurants are all within a 5 minute stroll. Boutiques, galleries, independent bookstores and wine tasting rooms are less than 3 blocks away. And the Winslow waterfront park offers kayak rentals, standup paddle boards, tide pools, a dandy playground and plenty of room to roam. Getting AroundAll of downtown Winslow is within a few blocks. Once you're here, we'll be surprised if you ever bother to get in your car. Other Things to NoteAll guests are required to sign a liability waiver upon arrival. Feel free to request details if you have any questions.

The SpaceLocation, location, location! This is one of the best spots on the island to enjoy the marine traffic, marine life, wildlife and view of Mt. Rainier and the Bremerton ferries crossing. Never a dull moment. The well-equipped but charming cottage does not disappoint. Everything is made available to you, kitchen pantry, robes, bikes, kayaks, and a very comfortable living room with views that go on and on. Guest AccessYou will have access to the cottage, kayaks, bikes (adult) and BBQ grill. Only area off limits is a small locked pantry that houses our supplies Interaction with GuestsMy interaction varies from a text to make sure you have arrived safely and your needs are met, to more interaction as needed to assist guests with answers to questions about the cottage, where to find really cool moonsnail shells, where to find the best blackberries, to my favorite restaurants, theatres, and where you can find a great deal. The NeighborhoodQuiet, yet friendly. You will likely meet neighbors as well as those islanders and visitors who are out for their daily walks, jogs, and bike rides. You always have a view of the water as you walk along South Beach Drive. Getting AroundThere is some public transit, but unfortunately, buses do not stop within a couple of miles of the cottage.

The SpaceLILLE DANSER BOAT AND BREAKFAST Located in Bainbridge Island. if we are out sailing, you can see us via shipfinder- "lilledanser" Join us for a optional 2-hour hand's on sail for up to 6 passengers (add'l fee), followed by an overnight dockside on a traditional 50' gaff cutter and light breakfast in the morning. The vessel 'Lille Danser' has a double berth aft, a covered cockpit, pilot berth in the galley, and a double V berth forward that converts to a double. The galley offers a coffee/tea pot and old fashioned "ice" box. We offer a small electric heater and electric blankets. Pets and children are welcome. You will have the whole boat to yourself dockside. Free parking. Coin-op Showers and laundry. The area is quiet and rural. This is a great way to enjoy Puget Sound. The marina is located on the south side of Eagle Harbor. You can sit in the cockpit and watch the eagles and osprey fly overhead and the ferries come and go. Downtown Winslow is less than 2 miles away. There are wonderful u-pick and Christmas tree farms on the island as well as hiking trails, parks, great coffee shops and bakeries. There is an active art's community through Bainbridge Performing Arts and the many festivals. There is a Bluegrass festival in the summer and the KidIMU kid's museum. I like the Bainbridge Island Aquatic Center with the lap pool, waterslide, lazy river and hot tub followed by Gelarto or Mora's Ice Cream. Here's a recap of fees: parking - free berth and breakfast for two = $160 base Additional guests= $10 each Pets = $20 total Sail = $160 base for 2 guests, 2 hours (payable after sail, cash or check is fine). Inflatable rowing dinghy rental = free if you pump it up and put it away after. Ride to/or from the ferry for 6 passengers-- $10 anytime. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the entire vessel moored in a marina. The galley propane is only available by arrangement and safety training with the owner. The marina has parking, heated restrooms, coin operated showers, laundry. Interaction with GuestsI usually meet each guest at the marina parking lot to check in and show them the marina, and review things like how to use the heads, water pump and heaters. If we are planning to add the sail, we'd often have it at check in. Once they are settled for the night, I'm available a mile away at my home but I leave them with the boat to themselves. They self check out and send me a text to let me know. The NeighborhoodAs of today, Lille danser is on the south side of eagle harbor. It is 2 miles to the ferry in Winslow and to Lynwood center. The best dog beach is right next door with cool trails and great view of seattle. I love the slip because it is in the end tie. It has completely open view of the harbor. It is on the quiet side of the harbor and the dick I quiet too. You can sit in the cockpit and bird watch, boat watch, read, watch the sunset. Getting AroundCommuter buses on weekdays with limited hours. Taxis all hours. There is a Dinghy to get to town. I can do a shuttle to the ferry on the odd hours. It is 3 miles to drive or bike from the seattle ferry. Other Things to NoteThere is a ice box.. Guest are welcome to bring food and drink on the sail. I have life jackets. Pets and kids are welcome. There is a pet fee. There are heaters and electric blanket but still dress warm for the sail. Please avoid wearing high heels or high heeled boots. The boat has a small transistor radio and that is it for electronic entertainment. **updated 2016* details for stays longer than 1 night** 1. Leaks. If there is a major downpour, there is a drip over the forward berth through the overhead hatch. I have a canvas cover in the dock box in case there is a heavy rainstorm. 2. Potable Water- filtered on cold line only. I installed a 55 liter water tank bladder in the boat that lasts a couple days for washing dishes. To fill it, you will need to open the deck fitting and add water from the dock hose. There is not a constant water supply on the boat. The "hot" side functions when the heater is on. It uses the battery, so only on if the charger is on. You can also use the teapot to make hot water for dishes. When the water pump kicks on and stays on, it is time to fill the tank. 3. Icebox. There is a deep, insulated locker in the galley that acts as a cooler. I'll start it with the plate frozen. 3. Wiring. There are two electrical systems on the boat. household outlets are 110 and the power comes from the shore. There is 30 amps in all, with 15 amps in the forward half of the boat and 15 amps aft. The rest of the wiring is all 12 volt. There are several places on the boat that the 12 volt wiring harnesses are visible but not harmful. 4. Heat. There are three heaters that plug in to outlets. there is one in each cabin, but with the limit in amperage, there can only be one or two on at a time. There is a small wood stove as well---really small. There is an electric blanket in the aft cabin. 5. Heads. There are three options with the heads. The marina has flushing toilets, coin op showers, and laundry. The boat was built in the 70's with through-hull toilets which I have removed. I have a "weekender" camping toilet in the aft cabin head. It doesn't flush. There is a trap door at the base to drop the contents to the holding tank. It holds 2 gallons of liquids. The toilet paper goes in the garbage can and both will probably need to be emptied frequently. It is handy for late nights so you don't have to walk up to the restrooms. There is a second toilet that was set up for cruising. It can accommodate liquids and solids. It is a composting toilet. The liquids container holds a gallon or so. In order to use the composting feature, you will need to place a barrier in the bowl, such as a coffee filter. Then there is a trap door for the solids. There is a full-time fan for the compost. All toilet paper goes in the garbage. 6. Curtains. The boat has a lot of light and there are no other boats or pedestrian traffic along the stern, port side and forward. There is also a bulwark (wood enclosure) around the deck. For that reason, I don't have a need for curtains. Once you are here, if you need curtains anywhere, let me know. I've got them but love not needing them. 7. Galley. I have set up electric teapot, coffee pot, waffle iron, and toaster for short stays. The boat has a propane stove, broiler and oven. On any boat-- escaped propane sinks into the bilge and remains collected and flammable indefinitely. I have a sensor to warn of propane and will train you on the use of propane. There is also a propane BBQ on deck-that doesn't have the same issues. There is very limited cookware since the propane isn't usually available. once you are here, you can give me a wish list for pots and pans. I'll bring them from home.

The SpaceI have no pets, so no worries about allergies from cats or dogs. The room is small and perfect for one person, although I've hosted many couples who like a double bed. Right now, I'm preferring to book at least two-night stays, but will make some exceptions. Guest AccessI have a tiny, but full bathroom a few steps away from your room. The kitchen is available to guests. Interaction with GuestsI work a lot from home, and have a separate room for my office. I can give you directions and advice on what to do/see on the island or in Seattle. The NeighborhoodIt's a nice neighborhood developed about 50 years ago. I have a small rambler with a big garden. Getting AroundYou will be close to downtown, but you'll need a car to see the rest of the island. If you're going into Seattle, you won't need a car. Other Things to NoteThis is a small home, so your space would mainly be a base for going out and exploring this beautiful part of the world.

Each yurt has a double bed, a couch/fold-out couch that serves as a comfy second bed, table and chairs, and a kitchenette. The yurts are spacious, light, warm and cozy - with big windows facing the gardens and the forest. The yurts do not have private bathrooms; the bathroom is located steps away in the nearby house (though each yurt has a little potty for night-time use.) Guests are also welcome to use our kitchen and living room in our beautiful Round House upon request. There are small appliances and a kitchenette in each yurt for simple meals and breakfast coffee/tea. We offer events and ceremonies at Sacred Groves which you can read about on our website. Guests are welcome to join us for events, wander the trails, meadows, woods and gardens of our beautiful "Sacred Groves." Sacred Groves is a ten acre forest sanctuary located on Bainbridge Island, a half-hour ferry ride west of downtown Seattle. It is a place to deepen your relationship with Mother Earth, a place for feeling a sense of connection. Read more about us on the Sacred Groves website. Note: $70/night is for one person; we ask $5/night for each additional person. If you stay 7 nights or more, the rate drops to $55/night plus $5 for each additional person. Guest AccessGuests have access to their own private yurtlette, bathroom in the main house, gardens, forest trails, and meadow. With prior heads up, you're also welcome to use our kitchen. Interaction with GuestsWe are happy to welcome and orient guests, answer questions and provide assistance as needed. We are usually busy enough with family, friends and our events that we don't linger long. Getting AroundWe are accessible by bus (the 95, 106, and BI Ride - go to Kitsap Transit's website for details) during certain times of the day. Taxis are available from the ferry terminal. If you're a biker, consider biking here! It's a 4 mile ride through some beautiful country roads, and less cars means less impact on the island's ecosystem. Other Things to NoteSummer 2016 we have another great opportunity for guests of the Groves: Canopy Climbing! We have a partnership with AdventureTerra that offers guided climbs into the high canopy of our beautiful trees for a thrilling experience. Check out their website and consider combining a tree-climb with your stay at the Groves. Note: tree-climbs must be set up with AdventureTerra in advance. The SpaceOn the edge of Bainbridge Island’s spectacular Grand Forest with its miles of hiking tails (just walk in) and at the end of a private road, this country retreat of 3 1/4 acres, including a mini-orchard of heirloom apple and plums trees, was originally hand-built of Douglas Fir from the property. It has been lovingly and artistically remodeled into a modern designer’s paradise in the woods. Conservatively sleeping eight, it contains a fully-equipped gourmet chef’s kitchen, high speed Internet and two flat-screen televisions connected to DirecTV. The glamorous master bath has an all-glass shower and Japanese soaking tub. The master has a king sized bed; the other two bedrooms have queens. A futon sofa in the upper living room also turns into a queen-sized bed. An ottoman in the same room opens into a single. This modern sanctuary in the woods is less than ten minutes away from the Bainbridge ferry and the charming town of Winslow. Guest AccessYou will have access to everything in the main house except a locked closet and one locked cabinet. Interaction with GuestsAs requested by guest. We will not be on the property but there is a caretaker in an out building who will be available. He is a Bainbridge Island native who can assist you in any way with your stay. The NeighborhoodThe Grand Forest is a Northwest treasure. Walking out the gate of our property, you are entering a mini-Olympic National Park with endless well-groomed hiking and mountain biking trails. Getting AroundThe town of Winslow with its numerous gourmet restaurants and shops is approximately seven minutes away by car. The shopping center by High School Road with a large super market is five minutes away. Other Things to NoteWe will help guide you to the best restaurants, sites, hiking trails and kayaking in the area, if interested. Also best gourmet shops for your own cooking.

Large porch for sunsets and back deck for sunrises. Veggie garden, chickens and fresh eggs, entire property has invisible fence for dogs. Chickens are available to be loved on, held and fed - and please take advantage of the fresh eggs! 2 Great Danes will love the same attention - although they stay downstairs. Guests also have access to wood pile for fires. OH! And the beach! Private beach with picnic table and fire pit available year round. Small boat house for storing a kayak, etc. Small fixed dock as well. Mooring balls for boats are allowed in front but we don't have one presently. But a neighbor may share. Interaction with GuestsCurrently - the house is shared however, the downstairs unit can be shut off and kept separate from the main floor. The NeighborhoodWe live in the best neighborhood on the island! Ok, we're partial, but our neighbors agree! South-facing means great light and greater sunsets. Small two-lane road follows the water and is used more by walkers, runners and cyclists than cars, so get used to driving slow. It's like the Alki Beach of Bainbridge Island, but with a lot less traffic. Getting AroundIf you stand outside the house, the bus will pick you up. When you need to be dropped off, tell the driver which house is yours. But he usually remembers. How's that for service! Unit comes with covered carport parking. We also have the convenience of being near the public fishing pier with a small parking area - which is great overflow parking for entertaining. Arriving: We recommend a towncar from the airport to the Seattle Ferry Terminal. But you can also take Light Rail to the Pioneer Square station and walk about 5 blocks to ferry. We are the Seattle-Bainbridge Ferry. A 35 minute crossing taking cars and walk ons.

The SpaceThe cottage is a 458-square foot 1-bedroom cottage with a 3/4 bath, living room, dining nook, and fully-equipped kitchen. The bed is a full-sized bed (smaller than a queen) due to room size. A cot is also available. Enjoy fresh-brewed Pacific Northwest coffee every morning as you watch the eagles soar over the Bay, then go for a walk along Manitou Beach, just a 2 minute stroll down the hill. Head to island favorite Bay Hay & Feed for morning coffee, pastries and conversation, just 8 minutes away, and while you’re there check out their amazing plants, garden supplies, and general store.
