We can take you to the places totally undiscovered but far more beautiful than anything that you can see here, where you will face the virgin nature yet not spoiled by the tourist industry so common in the other parts of the island. Here are some examples of our fascinating trips:
Hunnas Falls and Sembuwaththa Lake
Considered one of the most scenic and picturesque spots in the country Hunnas Fall is just one hour drive from the city centre. 60 m high with small natural swimming poll hidden in the real jungle it is a real gem! There is so much to see around the waterfall too! Tea plantations, forests, hundreds of smaller falls, exotic flowers, little churches and temples on the foggy green hills. We stay there to swim a bit and enjoy the fall and then we go up to see one of the most outstanding lake in Sri Lanka called Sembuwaththa. What a great beauty it is! About 10 acre lake is unbelievable in such altitude. This was originally build to get hydro power the tea factory, but now is the main attraction among the locals who come here to spend some free time chilling swimming and just having good time. The scenery is amazing on the top, as the lake is surrounded by unbelievably green pines trees, mountains and tea plants. Few manmade huts are available around the lake so we can make a barbecue and stay there for a longer time according to your wish.
Bambarakiri Falls, Riverston and Serra Falls
The full day trip. We start at 7 a.m and our first stop is Bambarakiri Fall. This fall is set amongst the enchanting evergreen forest of the Knuckles mountain range. A suspension bridge spanning the falls adds the finishing touch to an already beautiful scene. The fall’s popularity as a visitor attraction continues despite the fact that up to May 2002, 17 people have been killed while either bathing or attempting to clamber over nearby rocks. So we stay there only to do some pictures. Bathing is possible but only during the dry season... We leave this awesome place and go to the wild Knuckles Mountain where the views are so beautiful that its hard to believe that it is reality. The next stop is Riverston and so called Little World’s End. It is the 500m high rock with the whole Knuckles view! You can carefully have sit on the edge of the rock and enjoy one of the most amazing scenery in Sri Lanka. Final destination during our trip is the Sera Fall. Quite exceptional because of the small cave where you can watch the water coming down from the tom from inside of the mountain. Unforgettable view! The Serra surroundings are also like not from this world. Huge wet rock in the misty foggy jungle. The main attraction of this trip is the fact that during the whole day you will see only a few locals. No tourists at all. Pure undiscovered Sri Lanka!
Kandy city- Udawatekkele, Peradenija Botanical Garden, Temple Of The Tooth, Kandy Lake and Ranawana Temple
Kandy city itself is a great gem and there are still many places to discover here. We offer one day trip which starts from Udawatekkele - Udawatta Kele Sanctuary, often spelled as Udawattakele, is a historic forest reserve on a hill-ridge in the city of Kandy It is 104 hectares (257 acres) large. During the days of the Kandyan kingdom, Udawatta Kele was known as "Uda Wasala Watta" in Sinhalese meaning, "the garden situated above the royal palace". The sanctuary is famous for its extensive fauna The reserve also contains a great variety of plant species, especially lianas, shrubs and small trees. There are several giant lianas. Many of small and medium size mammals that inhabit Sri Lanka can be seen here. Several kinds of snakes and other reptiles might also be seen. Udawatta Kele was designated as a forest reserve in 1856, and it became a sanctuary in 1938.The Sri Lanka Forest Department has two offices in the reserve, one of which (i.e. the one located at the southeastern entrance) has a nature education centre with a display of pictures, posters, stuffed animals, etc. Being easily accessible and containing a great variety of flora and fauna the forest has a great educational and recreational value. Groups of school children and students regularly visit the forest and the education centre. The forest is also popular with foreign tourists, especially bird watchers. Scientific nature research has also been carried out in the forest by researchers. The forest is also of religious importance as there are three Buddhist meditation hermitages and three rock shelter dwellings for Buddhist monk hermits.
The next stop is the famous Temple Of the Tooth and 30 min walk around the Kandy Lake where you can observe many various species of animals.
Then we will move a few km outside the centre to see Peradenija Royal Botanical Garden. It is near the Mahaweli River (the longest in Sri Lanka). It is renowned for its collection of The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. Attached to it is the National Herbarium of Sri Lanka. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres (0.59 km2), at 460 meters above sea level, and with a 200-day annual rainfall.
The next stop is Ranawana Temple with the highest walking Buddha statue in the world. The temple is surrounded by the forest where we will see many interesting sculptures taken from the life of Buddha
