    The SpaceThe house has been restored gently over 10 years and has just been completed. A multileveled tree house of a cottage with two double bedrooms and one single, sleeping 5. All the beds are extremely well made with very good mattresses. Sheets and towels are provided. You will sleep like a baby. There are two living rooms, one downstairs with a low ceiling and wood burning stove, iPod dock/cd player/turntable and a piano. The other living room is upstairs and is equipped with Sky TV (inc Sport & Movies) DVD, double height ceiling and exposed beams. Both have free wifi. A brand new bathroom upstairs has a large bath and shower and also double height celiing. Simply switch on the hot water and shower pump in the bathroom cupboard when you arrive and switch off when you leave. A pretty path from the kitchen leads to a round cottage garden overlooking pastoral fields. Please be aware that that garden is not fully fenced and your dog can escape if so inclined. We have Wifi. The passcode is Sizzlem99. Guest AccessThere is a key safe to allow you to arrive at a time to suit you. You will have access to the whole house, but not the barn outside or the attic which will be unoccupied but locked. Interaction with GuestsWe are happy to answer any questions you may have during your booking but we do not live at the cottage, and use it only for some weekends and holidays. Prior to your arrival, a housekeeper will make your beds, set up the fire for you and wash linen and clean up when you are gone. The NeighborhoodThe village of Oakford is very small and secluded in farmland, but easily accessible from the M5 via Tiverton. The Red Lion pub 3 doors down is refurbished and serves good food and ales. There is also a children's playground and football field. Rolling hills lead to Exmoor National Park where we love to ride out from West Anstey Stables. Nearby Dulverton, South Molton and Bampton offer several good restaurants and shops. For a special occasion there is a michelin star 13th Century pub, The Masons Arms, in the village of Knowstone. Getting AroundYou can park on the road outside the house, or if there is no space, in the churchyard. Tiverton Parkway station, linked by high speed railway to London, Bristol and Birmingham is 25 minutes away by car and there is a taxi service there. The nearest airport is Exeter Airport, followed by Bristol. Other Things to NoteIn the winter keep the wood fire burning and you will be snug. Logs provided. The house is double glazed and insulated. The Kitchen has underfloor heating.

    The SpaceIn an area of outstanding beauty, has a wooded valley with a river running through within 5 minutes of the cottage door. The open moors are also close by and its only 1 mile to Dulverton which is a charming little town with plenty of pubs and restaurants. Space to park 2 cars and a large garden with seating for exclusive use to the guests. I live on the site and am available to answer any questions or give you some pointers on where to go in the surrounding area. In a rural and private location but with the convenience of a town just a mile away. Not very good public transport, would advise coming by car. Wild red deer often in the park above the lodge. Guest AccessYou will have access to the whole of the lodge and its garden and free to walk in the grounds of the estate as long as the privacy of other guests and residents is respected. Interaction with GuestsI will be a phone call away should you need any help, but otherwise you will be left alone. The NeighborhoodWe are in the Exmoor National Park, with stunning scenery and easily accessible tourist information in the local village, 1.5 miles (it houses the National Parks headquarters).       Nuthatch at Three Gates Farm is a romantic one bedroomed cottage with pretty four poster bed and ensuite bathroom, sleeping two people, set in the beautiful East Devon countryside, only 15 minutes drive from the M5 (J27).       This 200 year old detached cottage has the best of both Worlds! Not only is it within the stunning countryside of the Exmoor National Park but it is just a short stroll along the river walk to Dulverton with it's country pubs, restaurants and shops. Perfect for a relaxing holiday. Roomy accommodation and quirky charm is in abundance throughout stone building. The spacious beamed sitting room is furnished to a high standard in a traditional style with a leather chesterfield suite (sofa bed) centred around the large fire place with a feature log burner Flanking either side of the fire is a pair of stained glass windows which look stunning in the afternoon sun. In addition, on the ground floor there is a modern, well equipped kitchen/diner which takes advantage of the views from the patio windows over the small cottage garden. There is also a secondary well proportioned shower/WC. We have private off road parking for one car. Upstairs the double bedroom ensures a restful nights sleep on the luxury pocket sprung mattress with the added benefit of an en-suite bathroom . It is ideal for couples wanting a quiet getaway but the accommodation can flexible to sleep up to 4 people with a range baby equipment also available. We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs.. .       The Old School House dates back to 1836 and was used as the Brushford village school until a new schoolroom was built in 1895 then the Old School House became the Headmaster’s home. Adjacent to the property is the village church which dates back to the 13th century. Old School House has been renovated and redecorated to a very high standard, retaining many original features including a small bread oven in the current dining room fireplace. A surprisingly spacious cottage, Old School House has a light and airy feel, and enjoys pretty views to the surrounding countryside. There is an enclosed cottage garden at the front of the cottage with barbecue area containing wooden garden table and chairs. The accommodation comprises sitting room, dining room, kitchen-breakfast room, study, utility boot room, downstairs shower room. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, a twin bedroom and a family bathroom which has a shower over the bath. The Old School House is well equipped with all new appliances. The kitchen has an Aga-style electric range cooker, combination microwave cooker, dishwasher and fridge; a washer-dryer, freezer, hoover, iron and ironing board are located in the Boot Room. For the cook there is a range of stainless steel pans, casserole dishes and bakeware. A Weber barbecue is kept in the courtyard off the kitchen, together with extra garden chairs if needed. An HD TV, DVD player and iPod docking station/speakers are situated in the sitting room. Wifi is avialable throughout the property. Each bedroom has a hair dryer and Roberts radio. From your accommodation it is just a few metres stroll down to the shores of Wimbleball lake or on to the open moors of Exmoor National Park. Anstey Mills Cottage (Quality in Tourism: 4 star Gold) is one of two barn conversions at the end of a single lane on a non-working farm. East Liscombe has been in the family for over 60 years and Doris is running the holiday cottage since 1998. Quality in Tourism has repeatedly awarded the cottage the 4 star Gold rating, highlighting the quality of the accommodation, its features and cleanliness. Three large bedrooms with quality bed linen and feather duvets easily accommodate 6 + 1, the large farmhouse table is focal point in the spacious kitchen, in the living room it is the wood burner. This is the ideal place for families but still feel cosy for just two. Walkers and dogs are regular visitors, as we are on a bridle way which goes right along the Devon Longhouse of which the host inhabits the other half, thus being on site to help and advise if this is wished. The cottage has a large private garden and 3 parking spaces outside the front door. The Exmoor National Park is bordering the property which is right on the Devon/Somerset divide. This allows access to miles of beautiful landscapes equidistant to both coasts. Historic towns and villages attract with wonderful pubs and shops.
