The SpaceBeautiful Barham Court is a stunning well preserved example of English heritage. At the centre of the house is a large paneled dining hall with fireplace. From the entrance hall you proceed through the piano room to the grand central hallway, with wood panels and sweeping staircase. Upstairs are the living quarters with modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. Arguably, the highlight of the house is the garden and terrace , which we encourage our guests to use as much as they like. The house is in the heart of the village but with direct access to beautiful countryside. Guest AccessThe guest accommodation comprises a pair of adjoining rooms witin the main house. The master bedroom with double bed is accessed via a large "dressing room", with a single bed (plus additional mattress/cot available if required) for additional guests or children). There is a comfortable seating area and large TV No extra charge for children under 3. Sole use of the large guest bathroom which is just across the corridor , . Guests may also make use of the hall, piano room, kitchen and dining facilities. Feel free to challenge us to croquet in the garden. Interaction with GuestsWe love meeting new people, so feel free to spend as much time enjoying the surroundings at home as you please. If you'd like privacy, your rooms are your own haven with TV and internet. Occasionally we may have our grown-up children and grandchild staying, with their friendly dog, Pippin. Kate has excellent local knowledge and loves to help guests plan their excursions to get the most out of their time here The NeighborhoodBarham is a charming old village between Canterbury and Dover. The excellent local country pub serving great food and English ales is a 2 minute walk away. The house adjoins the local 14th Century church. The village is set in the beautiful Elham valley with lovely walking and cycling close by and there are several other excellent country pubs and restaurants in easy reach . It is an easy drive to Canterbury, Dover and to the kent Coast We can give you lots of maps and information on things to see and do during your stay with us. Getting AroundThe house is a 15 minute drive from Canterbury stations. Canterbury is an hour from London on the High Speed Rail Link. From the station you may take a taxi or it might be possible to arrange a pickup with us.There is a regular bus service to and from Canterbury. Parking is available at the house. We are 15 minutes from the Channel Tunnel and the port of Dover - a perfect base for exploring London and France as well as the rest of Kent and the White Cliffs of Dover Other Things to NoteWe have a selection of bicycles (some old, some new) you may use to explore the local area, plus some walking and cycling maps to help you explore the countryside

The Elham Valley Way, a 21 mile promoted footpath, passes over fields and through woods and villages, it therefore provides a wondeful encounter for the long distance walker. The Way largely traverses the track of the old Canterbury – Folkestone Elham Valley Railway which closed in 1947. The North Downs Way National Trail is a long-distance path in southern England, opened in 1978.[2] It runs from Farnham to Dover, past Guildford, Dorking, Merstham, Otford and Rochester, along the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and Kent Downs AONB. At small roundabout take second exit (right), turn right at junction after 100 yards and then take right turn after 100 yards (do not rejoin the A2). After 300 yards turn right at cross roads. Park House is on the right after 300 yards just after passing a churchyard on the left and before reaching the church on the right.     Mulberry House is the perfect country house set in 5 acres of rolling Kent countryside with spectacular views. The house itself is an eclectic mixture of traditional and contemporary decor with beautifully integrated up-to-the-minute, opulent bathrooms and kitchen. The house is idyllically set deep in the countryside yet just a 10-minute drive from the historic, vibrant city of Canterbury. The owners built the house in 2007 with complete sensitivity to its surroundings and the result is an exquisite and impeccably presented home. Bedrooms and Bathrooms In addition to the splendid en-suite master bedroom, there are 5 further bedrooms (including an en-suite guest bedroom) and a luxury family bathroom. Each bedroom has its own character with a very high standard of lovely fabrics, beautiful wallpapers, luxurious furnishings quality towels/bathrobes. All 5 bedrooms are accessed from the main stairway and are on the first floor. The landing is extremely spacious and all 5 bedrooms lead from it. All bedrooms have fantastic views over glorious countryside. The 2 en suite bathrooms and the family bathroom are all of exceptional quality with a high standard of fittings carefully sourced from around the world! The end result is an exceptionally luxurious feel. Kitchen and Dining Consistent with the quality of workmanship found throughout is the beautiful handmade kitchen and handmade circular dining table seating 12/14. The granite work surfaces and a central island create a wonderful cooking space and social hub. There is a magnificent range cooker complimented by an electric oven, and 4-ring induction hob. This really is a cook’s delight where it is a delight to prepare and cook food. Living rooms The character of the reception rooms rooms is complemented by the stunning oak framed garden room and together these rooms provide a wonderful living and entertaining space-perfect for family and group gatherings. To make your stay more comfortable there are two lounge areas with plenty of sofas to sink into. To one end of the open plan main room there is a cosy lounge area with a comfy leather sofas and wood burner. Leading off the hall is a second lounge with further sofas, 40 inch TV and a log burner to warm the cold nights. Off the hall you will also find a downstairs cloakroom and wc. Outside The gardens have been expertly landscaped and provide a great deal of structure and setting to the house. The exquisite kitchen garden is beautifully set out and is a particularly impressive feature of the garden. There is a wonderful pond set away from the house, which is fenced for your safety, chicken coups, beautiful lawned areas and open meadows. There is also a small raised pond/water feature on the patio.

      The SpaceA charming well appointed, self contained apartment in a quiet rural location of outstanding natural beauty, overlooking a restored windmill. On the ground floor is the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you should need during your stay, including a fridge/freezer, electric cooker, gas hob, sink, toaster, kettle, utensils and crockery. Washing up items, tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and olive oil are also provided. The kitchen also features a dining table with four chairs. Accessed through the kitchen is the bathroom with an electric shower, toilet, basin and chest of drawers. Towels, toilet roll, hand soap and hand lotion are provided. Upstairs you'll find a very comfortable, light, spacious, open plan living area and bedroom. The living area has two settees, an arm chair with a foot stool, a free sat television and DVD player. The air conditioning unit is upstairs. The bedroom area has a super king sized bed, a wardrobe with hangers provided and two chest of drawers. There is also a large desk and chair, an ideal work space if needed. Wifi is also provided throughout the apartment. Guest AccessThe apartment is accessed via its own front door and guests have full private use of the space. The guests are also welcome to relax in the garden. There is extra storage available in the garage on request, for those bringing bikes. There is ample parking on our private drive though a gate which is kept closed at all times. The NeighborhoodThe accommodation is in a quiet location with approximately a dozen properties within a mile radius. Surrounded by stunning countryside with all that nature has to offer including wildlife, woodland, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. It is the perfect place to escape to, to unwind and relax. Getting AroundWe advise guests to travel here by car as the nearest bus stop is 2 and a half miles away.       The SpaceA luxury bell tent in an ancient woodland in the heart of the Kentish countryside. Experience the wilderness in comfort. Escape from urban life and discover tranquil wilderness. A very good place to discover south east Kent and it's beaches and visit Canterbury. Very close to the port of Dover and the Channel Tunnel and a unique gateway to your trip to the continent . Bring your own food and towels and toiletries please. We will provide a cool box and ice packs. the bed will have clean sheets, pillows, duvet and a spare blanket. The tent has a wood burner in it and there is a fire pit outside the tent. We will provide plenty of dry wood for both and ask that you do not help yourself by cutting trees or taking from the stock piles around the coppiced wood areas. Power to our off grid site is provided by solar panels, hence no hair dryers or hair straighteners. No electrical point in the tent but there is a socket in a polytunnel near the hygiene block where you can safely charge your phones and such. There is a camp kitchen with a gas cooker, kettle, frying pan etc. Plates cups bowls etc. Water container, washing up bowl and a few basics (salt sugar cooking oil some tea and coffee) There are a few lanterns and tea lights plus a rechargeable wind up led lantern but I recommend that you bring torches to get around the wood at night. We also have provided some brightly coloured solar powered Fairy lights. There is washing up liquid and scrubber in the washing up basin in the hygiene block. Bedsheets and tea towels will be laundered but not ironed, sorry, not enough power. Guest Access23 acres of woodland surrounded by countryside. The tent. use of the camping hygiene block, including 2 flushing toilets, hot shower a basin and a sink. A field shelter by the only large clearing in the wood with seats and fire pit. The village of Barham is close and within walking distance. With a shop, post office and a pub. There is a cafe at the Vineyard close by and pubs in Denton and Elham, both beautiful traditional Kentish villages. And lots of woodland and country walks to discover. We are on the border between the villages of Barham ( (URL HIDDEN) and Denton . Elham is the next closest village ((URL HIDDEN) Getting AroundThe bus no 17 goes between Canterbury and Folkestone and stops at. 5 minutes walk away. It is possible to come to us via public transport. Main line train stations at Canterbury and Adisham. Are the nearest. We are very close to the A2 between Dover and Canterbury. Also very close to the A260 that links us to Folkestone and the M20. The port of Dover and the Channell Tunnell are minutes away. A local bus runs within walking distance and links us to Canterbury and Folkestone The nearest main line station is at Adisham for Dover and London Victoria, with free parking. Or Canterbury West for the fast service to St Pancras. Barry offers a very good local taxi service, and he is familiar with our hard to find address... (URL HIDDEN) Other Things to NoteThe tent is in a clearing in the wood accessed by a woodland path. You can drive to the beginning of the path but no further. This makes the accommodation unsuitable if you have difficulties walking on uneven ground or use a wheelchair. We keep chickens and bees. We also have a friendly dog. The tent has one double bed that can be split into two singles, we can provide 1 more camping mattress and bedding. You are welcome to bring a travel cot if you need it. The site is very big and at times we might have visitors or delegates attending workshops. This would be well away from the tent camp and out of sight. The wood is crossed with private footpaths and we sometimes walk along with visitors and often with Ted, we try to be respectful of our guests privacy as we get around.

        If you are looking to stay in the historical Cathedral City of Canterbury, then this late Georgian terrace property, situated just outside the medieval city walls and located in a Conservation Area, will make the perfect base. The accommodation is spread over three floors and will sleep 4 comfortably in two bedrooms - a double and a twin...there is even a spillover area, ideal for a dressing area or a travel cot. The City centre with its stunning cathedral, many listed buildings and quaint cobbled streets is a short walk away. There is a pretty walled courtyard garden that provides a little oasis with its plants, shrubs and trees. Should you be bringing your bikes to explore Canterbury and the beautiful surrounding open countryside, then there is a side gate for easy access to the courtyard for bike storage. Recently redecorated, this holiday home has a lovely feel to it. There is an entrance hallway at the front of the house that leads to a comfortable living room with ample seating arrangements. There are two 2-seater sofas plus an armchair and numerous coffee and side tables with lamps. The styling of this room picks up on Canterbury's proximity to the coast with its soft blue walls and coastal stripe and check furnishings. For relaxing, there is a a huge selection of books to borrow from the bookcase, a chess set, TV, DVD player and BT Sports for those keen sportsman! Further along the hallway, is the dining room dominated by a wonderfully large exposed brick fireplace and chimneybreast with a working gas effect fire. In centre place, there is a dining table that will seat 6 people with views out to the courtyard. The kitchen is accessed from the dining room which is bright, modern and well equipped with a washing machine, microwave, kettle and toaster. There are two kitchen windows letting in lots of lovely light. Leading up from the dining room are stairs to the first floor where the master bedroom and family bathroom can be found. The master double is a peaceful room with gorgeous apple green walls and a feature fireplace. Between the master bedroom and the bathroom is a small dressing room. The family bathroom is a modern tiled room with shower over the bath, sink and WC. Stairs lead to the second floor where there is a pretty twin room under the eaves that is painted in a calming soft blue that contrasts gently with the white woodwork. There are two side tables and set of drawers plus two clothes rails for hanging garments. Before the bedroom is reached there is a small space with an extra space that would be ideal for a travel cot or one child as this is under a sloping ceiling. Canterbury with its thriving student population is a magnet for international travellers who flock to this UNESCO World Heritage Site giving this city a truly cosmopolitan feel. St Martin's Church is recognised as being the oldest church in England and together with the Cathedral and St. Augustines Abbey (English Heritage - originally created as a burial place for the Anglo-Saxon kings of Kent) make up this Heritage Site. There is a huge choice of restaurants specialising in traditional and modern British dishes as well as many international restaurants. For entertainment in the evenings, there is The Marlow Theatre with its range of shows and performances. For history, culture and heritage there is an amazing collection of museums including The Beaney House of Art and Knowledge, The Roman Museum and Canterbury Museum.         The SpaceIn addition to the splendid en-suite master bedroom, there are 5 further bedrooms (including an en-suite guest bedroom) and a luxury family bathroom. Each bedroom has its own character with a very high standard of lovely fabrics, beautiful wallpapers, luxurious furnishings quality towels/bathrobes. All 5 bedrooms are accessed from the main stairway and are on the first floor. The landing is extremely spacious and all 5 bedrooms lead from it. All bedrooms have fantastic views over glorious countryside. The 2 en suite bathrooms and the family bathroom are all of exceptional quality with a high standard of fittings carefully sourced from around the world! The end result is an exceptionally luxurious feel. Consistent with the quality of workmanship found throughout is the beautiful handmade kitchen and handmade circular dining table seating 12/14. The granite work surfaces and a central island create a wonderful cooking space and social hub. There is a magnificent range cooker complimented by an electric oven, and 4-ring induction hob. This really is a cook’s delight where it is a delight to prepare and cook food. The character of the reception rooms rooms is complemented by the stunning oak framed garden room and together these rooms provide a wonderful living and entertaining space-perfect for family and group gatherings. To make your stay more comfortable there are two lounge areas with plenty of sofas to sink into. To one end of the open plan main room there is a cosy lounge area with a comfy corner leather sofas and wood burner. Leading off the hall is a second lounge with further sofas, 40 inch TV and a log burner to warm the cold nights. Off the hall you will also find a downstairs cloakroom and wc. The gardens have been expertly landscaped and provide a great deal of structure and setting to the house. The exquisite kitchen garden is beautifully set out and is a particularly impressive feature of the garden. There is a wonderful pond set away from the house, which is fenced for your safety, chicken coups, beautiful lawned areas and open meadows. There are many good country pubs where you can stop for a bite to eat and really soak up the beautiful Kent countryside. The Elham Valley Way, a 21 mile promoted footpath, passes over fields and through woods and villages, it therefore provides a wonderful encounter for the long distance walker. The Way largely traverses the track of the old Canterbury – Folkestone Elham Valley Railway which closed in 1947. Canterbury (6 miles) offers a wide range of specialist shopping, leisure facilities as well as numerous tourist attractions. Park House dates back to the mid-20th Century, the house has been extended and remodelled over recent years creating a fantastically modern and unique holiday home.
