The SpaceSmall bunkhouse w/ heat and a/c, full bath (shower no tub), wireless internet access, small electric heater gives appearance of burning fireplace. Rustic bunk bed, full bottom and twin top. Best for two people but would be fine for couple with small child, or three really good friends. Breakfast, as well as other meals, usually, available upon request, for an additional charge. Nearest restaurant is 12 miles away in Greybull, Wyoming. Well behaved pets welcome, horses and mules on premises and I am willing to board horses for those guests traveling with horses. Guests' horse rides are possible with advanced request. The area is very rural with a view of the Bighorn Mountains. Two hours from the East gate of Yellowstone National Park; one hour East of Cody, Wyoming (during summer months, Cody Nite Rodeo, gunfights, music shows, etc.); one hour from Big Horn Canyon and wild mustangs. Unlimited outdoor activities. Also, normally, there are two additional bedrooms available in the main house that are private with your own bathroom, (with tub & shower). Plenty of room to park trailer or RV, hook-ups available at additional charge. One hour East of Cody airport, two hours South of Billings, Montana airport. Transportation to and from airports usually available for extra charge. Guest AccessGuest are free to explore the entire property, keeping in mind the majority of the property has livestock on it! Interaction with GuestsAs much or as little as they chose. If I am available, I am wiling to prepare meals, show them the sights or take them on horseback rides, and if they prefer, I can tell them of local sites to visit that aren't part of the usual tourist areas, or of course, leave them totally alone and they can enjoy the quiet by themselves. The NeighborhoodIt's solitude and beauty. This property is in a quiet, rural area. No street lights and at night the stars are magnificent. A firepit is available for sitting and/or roasting marshmallows. Getting AroundNo public transportation, although. I am willing to pick someone up from the airport. It is best if you have your own transportation, however. Other Things to NoteVery rural. Close, by Wyoming standards, (within two hours) to many historical locations.

The SpaceYour private little log bunkhouse in a town of 83, separate from the main cabin - rustic but super comfortable and cozy for a couple or family of four. Full bathroom with shower, limited kitchen with mini fridge and coffee/tea station and outdoor grill. SUMMER AVAILABILITY ONLY! There is no public transit but I can lend you a kayak or canoe if you want. Seriously, the nearest airport with car rental availability is Cody, 68 miles away. Guest AccessPrivate porch with swing (a favorite spot for our guests!) Queen bed Twin bunks - top bunk has a sleeping bag for linens Private bathroom with shower only Air conditioning and area heater Coffee and tea station with assorted teas/coffees Mini fridge Shared access to outdoor grill and firepit Plug and drain for RV Fishing rods and tackle available for lending Interaction with GuestsI will do my best to be there when you arrive to help you settle in. I find many guests under-estimate how long it takes to get over the mountains, or across Yellowstone. The bunkhouse will be open and ready for self-check in if you arrive after 8pm. I am available as needed to answer questions and make recommendations. Otherwise, you will enjoy complete privacy in the bunkhouse. The NeighborhoodShell is a charming tiny town at the foot of the Big Horn mountains. Walk around town and see the historic cabins, Shell Creek and our historic church and community hall. Nearby National Forest and Bureau of Land Management lands offer varied walking, driving and ATV opportunities. Go next door to the Fossil Rock Tavern and have a cold beer and great burger. A few miles away is a Dinosaur Track site as well as fascinating badlands known as Devil's Kitchen. The closest grocery store and cell phone service is Greybull, 15 miles away, so talk up and stock up then just relax a bit with us. Getting AroundThere is no public transit - the closest airport is Worland (limited service). I recommend flying into Cody, WY or Billings, MT and renting a car. Other Things to NotePlease be gentle on our septic system and minimize water use! As you may know, the West is hurting for water. But the water we have is GREAT tasting and so pure, so please drink it from the tap and don't bother with all those plastic water bottles. We recycle as best we can so please help us by sorting your plastic, aluminum and paper in the bins provided. Glass does not recycle in our area :(

The SpaceMy small camper accommodates 2 people (so long as they are both under 5'8" as the bed is a full size width, but a little shorter than a normal full size bed. It's perfect for someone who wants to have a campout experience. Guest AccessIf staying here in town, guests will have access to the backyard firepit and charcoal grill. If you are staying more than one day, I'm happy to lend you fishing equipment as well as my tandem kayak. Interaction with GuestsI love to hike, camp and kayak and can give you suggestions on where to go nearby. I'm usually here, staying at the main cabin, although there are times when I'm out hiking, camping or kayaking! The NeighborhoodOur tiny town has historic cabins and buildings including a small church and former school house. It's a great area to take a walk to the creek or a little hike around our area. Next door to the main cabin is a bar that serves a limited food menu. Across the street is a campground that also serves beer and has a snack shop. Getting AroundThe nearest town is Greybull, 14 miles away, where there is a grocery store and restaurants, gas station, gift shops, etc. We are less than 10 miles from the Big Horn National Forest. Other Things to NoteThis is a very rural area, with limited cell coverage (sometimes Verizon works). I have wifi available if the camper is in Shell. Otherwise, if it's up on the mountains you will be beautifully and perfectly isolated. While the camper does not have a bathroom, there is a portable composting "potty" that you can use. Also, depending on when you're visiting, you can use the shower in the main cabin - this would need to be communicated in advance so I make sure it's available for you.
