Large character home with beautiful gardens located in quiet street close to public transport. We have 6 double bedrooms and enjoy hosting homestay guests from all over the world in a friendly, relaxed and easy-going atmosphere. Large, character home located in quiet cul-de-sac in leafy Bassendean close to the Swan River. The train is a ten minute walk and 15 minute ride to the city and the bus, 2 minute’s walk and 45 minute ride. We have 6 available double bedrooms, swimming pool and beautiful gardens, friendly Labrador dogs, WiFi is freely available and there is a large lounge-room with local and satellite TV. We enjoy an interesting mix of nationalities and cultures. It is also a big help for you to have other young people around to help you adjust, share the experience and sometimes go out together. Fiona is an excellent cook producing delicious meals using fresh and healthy ingredients and we all enjoy dinner together with interesting conversations and fun. Guests prepare their own breakfast & packed lunch; snacks always available. There are 2 bicycles for guests and bathroom and bedroom linen is included as are laundry facilities. We understand your feelings moving to a different country so we try to be very helpful and supportive. Our desire is that you have a happy and successful stay in our home and country.

Please supervise at all times. Keep all the gates closed in case small kids wander near the pool.

The SpaceWe will welcome you to our beautiful home away from home. The house is close to public transport, the airport, the Swan Valley and Perth city. Bassendean has a developing cafe culture and eateries. There is a small shopping centre a short distance away (Basendean shopping centre). The historic town of Guildford is it's neighbouring suburb where you will find antique shops and coffee. Alfred's kitchen and its famous burgers are also in Guildford. Only 5 minutes to the start of the Swan Valley, famous for its wineries & breweries, chocolate, honey, restaurants & Cafes & also Caversham wildlife Park where you can hand feed the kangaroos & pat the koalas. Guest AccessGuests have access to the whole house, a private back yard with an electric gate to the covered carport & the front yard with its beautiful garden. The kitchen is fully equipped and a large walk in pantry to store your food. 2 bathrooms with one equipped with the washer, drier. The living room is separate so you can relax or keep each other company in the kitchen whilst preparing food or relaxing in front of the TV. A large back yard with barbecue and space to relax or your children to enjoy. The NeighborhoodBassendean is located by the Swan river and has a rich history. It's neighbouring suburb is Guildford (1829) with it's historical buildings, rich heritage and proximity to the Swan Valley. The Swan Valley continues to charm thousands of tourists who visit the area each year and is literally on your doorstep. Caversham wildlife park is approximately 10 minutes away. Airports are also very close if you need to access them frequently or just want to stay close by so you can reach them easily. Getting AroundWhy drive when you can catch a train or a bus. Also, we are less than 10 minutes from the airport (depending on what time of the day you're travelling). Rent a car at the airport or Bayswater Hire car (4kms from home). Other Things to NoteAs the train is so close, save on parking fees by catching the train to Perth city, Fremantle or even to Cottesloe Beach. The Swan Valley is just over a 5 minute drive away so spend the day wine tasting, tasting chocolate & honey, or visit Caversham wildlife park, famous for it's Australian wildlife.

The SpaceTin roof (love the sound of rain), weatherboard with charming interior; hardwood floorboards, Tasmanian oak fully equipped kitchen, Master queen-size bedroom with second bedroom set up for infant. Lounge-room couch can be set up as a fold out mattress. Short walk to shops, cafes, pubs, churches, river and SO close to train link. Guest AccessEntire house and yard. We do live here but will be away for 6 weeks end of September - start of November. Guests may help themselves to anything in the pantry and loan anything from the bookshelves. Interaction with GuestsInteraction will be through local family members who will issue keys and be on call for guest needs & requests etc. The NeighborhoodThe Town of Bassendean still has an old world charm, with a village main street within walking distance. Close to the river and everything you need. It is also within 12km of the CBD. Getting AroundTrain Station is 5 minute walk away. Other Things to NoteWe do live here but will be away for 6 weeks end of September - start of November.

The SpaceOur home is located in the Perth riverside suburb of Bassendean, 10 km from the city’s centre. It’s a short walk to the train station and only a few stops into Perth city. Just 10 mins drive from Perth airport and close to the Swan Valley. Our place is a restored weatherboard cottage with four bedrooms (one a baby nursery with a cot that families can use) and two bathrooms. It has modern interior fixtures and furnishings. The lounge/dining/kitchen area is air-conditioned, as well as two of the bedrooms. Fans are available for the other rooms. The house has plenty of natural light. There’s a timber deck just off the lounge room, which is great for summer drinks or an alfresco dinner. Our kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave a gas cook top and 90cm Ilve oven. We also have a bbq on the deck, which you are welcome to use. The two bathrooms have been recently renovated. One has a bath. The laundry has an easy to use washing machine and clotheslines are outside. There are the usual amenities including television, radios, wifi etc. Bassendean is on the Swan River and close by there are good riverside walking tracks. Our house is just a five minute walk to the high street of Bassendean (Old Perth Road) where there is a good pub and a number of quality cafes. Our garden has a lawned area, including a trampoline for the kids. Fully supplied with linen and towels. The SpaceThe house is a renovated 100 year old cottage with 5 spare rooms which we like to make available to travelers, students or workers. It has beautiful gardens, 2 Labrador dogs which are allowed inside and a swimming pool with a lap-lane. Guest AccessGuest are free to use any of the public rooms in the house and any of the outdoor areas. You can feel as "at home" as you wish. The NeighborhoodBassendean is one of the older suburbs of Perth and is also close to historic Guildford. It is situated on the banks of the beautiful Swan River and it is a very green suburb with lots of older character homes. Getting AroundThere are 2 bicycles for guests to share. Our home is a 10 minute walk to the train, 2 minutes to the bus. To travel to the city by train takes about 20 minutes and about 45 minutes by bus. We are at the entrance to the Swan Valley which is Perth's very well-known wine growing area. We are a 5 minute walk from the Swan River and there are several beautiful and peaceful parks for you to enjoy. The local shopping centre is a 5 minute walk. Other Things to NoteThere are 2 bicycles for guests to use and bathroom and bedroom linen is included as are laundry facilities. There are no additional charges: electricity, water, internet etc are all included in the price.

    Riverfront Retreat is a home away from home! Situated on the beautiful Swan River it is 7 minutes away from the world renowned Swan Valley Wine Region. This area is at ground level and is suitable for people with limited mobility. All rooms are air conditioned with gas heating to lounge area only. Each room contains a desk, and either a single, double or king-single bed with built-in robes (see photos). House wi-fi is available for the use of all guests. All bedroom doors can be locked from the inside. The laundry is available for use and an Aussie breakfast of cereal and with unlimited tea and coffee, milk or juice are included in the price. (Other options such as eggs, noodle soup etc available on asking) Just ask if you would like to join us for the evening meal. Guest AccessGuests will have the use of their own bathroom (shower, vanity, toilet) and lounge area but are welcome to join the family in the main area anytime they wish. The NeighborhoodBassendean is an older suburb, with the benefit of being close to the beautiful Swan River, historic Guildford with it's many antique shops, cafes and restaurants, the Swan Valley grape growing region and the main arterial routes of Great Northern Hwy and Great Eastern Hwy. We are a short walk from the local shopping centre which has a supermarket, banks, travel agency and a lovely new Dome Cafe with railway carriage, Red Rooster, pharmacy, travel ageny, hairdresser & news agency. There are lovely walks along the river and we are just a couple of kilometres from the Railway Museum for railway buffs. Bassendean is home of the Swans WAFL team also. Being an older suburb, there are also several well established churches in the area, Anglican, Catholic, Presbyterian, Church of Christ, Assembly of God, Salvation Army etc. There are also two 24hr gyms within a short walking distance. Getting AroundPublic transport is easy from this location, with the Success Hill train station just 300 metres away, giving easy access to Midland to the east and the city of Perth and on to Fremantle in the opposite direction. We are also blessed to have an almost completed cycle path that will take cyclists to the Swan Valley in one direction or to the city along the river for a good part of it in the other direction.

      The Space'This is a beautiful house for a relaxing tranquil stay, it is not a venue for parties or functions' The height of luxury on the Swan River suitable for large families, executives and those who enjoy the finer things in life. Moody Waters is a little slice of Beverley Hills in Sunny Western Australia. This luxury two story property offers supremely comfortable space for up to 12 guests at a time (additional beds can be arranged at our discretion.) It is equipped with all of the finest amenities one would expect in such a high end residence. Offering 1 grand sized master bedroom suite with sweeping views of the Swan River and a large ensuite bathroom including a heated jet stream spa bath. Another large bedroom (can be configured king or twin bed arrangement) also with Swan River views. There are 3 spacious queen rooms, one with a Balcony, and a 6th bedroom equipped with 2 x single beds. Furthermore, there is also an additional space with a sofa bed that can be set up depending on guest requirements. There is one additional bathroom on the ground floor and 2 additional toilets. Other living spaces include a large dining area with room for 12 to sit at the custom built art deco table, a spacious living room equipped with a 70" 4K flat-screen television where guests can enjoy surround sound whilst watching their favourite channels on Foxtel (Channel packs include: HD, Sports, Entertainment, Movies, Drama, Docos). The adjoining room contains a bar with an inbuilt fridge and sink. The chef’s kitchen with ample storage and beautiful stone bench tops is set up to entertain. It includes a Miele coffee machine for those looking for an early morning pick me up. This machine also fills the kitchen with a beautiful aroma of roasted beans. A Bosch washing machine and clothes dryer are available in the laundry room as well as internal and external clothes lines for your convenience. We also supply washing detergent and softener for guest use. Artwork and statues are scattered throughout the property to give the entire property a homely vibe that guests will certainly enjoy for long or short stays Guest AccessGuests at Moody Waters will be given use of the entire property during their stay however the pool is shared with next door (also owner occupied by the owners of Moody Waters), there is no fence between the yards so the back yard and entertaining area is extremely plentiful. The pool cover will be left on to ensure the water retains as much heat as possible. Use of pool is by arrangement to allow for pool cover to be removed. Interaction with GuestsSeveral phone numbers will be provided for guests to have either the owners or their representative attend the property in the event of any concerns The NeighborhoodThe house has full disabled access including a lift to access the upper levels of the property as well as ramps and wide openings which generally add to the warm, spacious, inviting feel of the entire house House Rules: This Property is for accommodation use only, it is not a function or party venue. Events held at the property will be shut down. In these situations all bond money will be retained by the owners There is no smoking inside the house, however there are smoking facilities outside. Evidence of smoking inside will result in a $1000 sanitisation fee being withheld from bond funds. No external sound systems are to be used whilst staying at the property. Guests are welcome to utilise the sound systems built into the property and auxiliary cables and HDMI inputs provided near the Main TV in the lounge. It is expected that guests are honest about the number of people attending the property, we reserve the right to withhold additional cleaning fees if this condition is breached. Visitors to property are to be disclosed to the owners and the number of people on the property at any time shall not exceed 20 Unfortunately we do not allow pets. Children are required to be supervised at all times at the property, particularly on the balconies and in the pool area as it is quite large, The pool cover is not to be removed by guests, please organise ahead of time for the cover to be removed and stored by the property manager. Glass is not to be used around the pool area Please note the restrictions relating to street parking. All guests are required to abstain from street parking as this impacts the neighbours. There is lots of room for vehicles in the front courtyard and double garage and overflow parking is available in the public car parks at Garvey Park down the road. To be clear please ensure no guests or visitors park on the street, path or verge. This property is situated in a residential area and noise is to be restricted past 12am on Friday and Saturday nights and at 10am all other days. Please note this is not a party venue and we try to keep noise to a minimum as not to disturb our neighbours, if your intention is to have a loud party unfortunately this is not the venue for you. So again just so we are clear, this is NOT a party venue. Please note that the property is in high demand, we are unable to hold bookings due to delayed payments. Please confirm with the owners at the time of booking if you wish to organise an alternate payment schedule Limit of Liability: Our maximum liability for losses you suffer as a result of us acting in breach of these Booking conditions is strictly limited to the amounts received by us in relation to your Booking. Getting AroundThe location is extremely convenient being situated 15km from Perth city and just 8km from Western Australia's famous Swan Valley wine region. Both the international and domestic airports are just a few minutes’ drive away. 2km from Ascot Racecourse, 6km from Crown Casino and it’s premier restaurants and Theatre. Many fantastic restaurants also are situated only a few kilometres for the house. Guests can enjoy close proximity to all of the above mentioned hot spots whilst finding themselves taking in the serenity of the swan river right at their back porch. There is a bus stop just 5 minute walk from the property, if you wish to travel around Perth using public transport the transperth website will be helpful. If you are looking to travel to the property from the airport we would thoroughly recommend catching an UBER as they operate a friendlier service and do not have an issue with the short fares.

The NeighborhoodIt is just a short walk to the river and there are several lovely riverside parks to enjoy Getting AroundYou can walk to the train station in 10 minutes and it takes about 15 minutes to get to the city. Or you can take a bus about 2 minutes walk away but it takes about 45 minutes to the city.

      The SpaceEnjoy your own space in this separate wing of the house. The guest bedrooms adjoin their own communal lounge area with TV. A family of four could comfortably stay in this space. THE PRICE LISTED IS PER ROOM, Per Person, PER NIGHT and there are THREE ROOMS AVAILABLE in this wing. (To book other rooms please go to my other two listings). This area is at ground level and is suitable for people with limited mobility. All rooms are air conditioned with gas heating to lounge area only. Each room contains a desk, and either a single, double or king-single bed with built-in robes (see photos). House wi-fi is available for the use of all guests. All bedroom doors can be locked from the inside. Breakfast (juice, toast & spread and cereal) plus unlimited tea and coffee are included in the price. Just ask if you would like to join us for the evening meal. (no extra charge) The laundry and an iron are also available. Guest AccessGuests will have the use of their own bathroom (shower, vanity, toilet) and lounge area but are welcome to join the family in the main area anytime they wish. (nb. A bathtub is also available in a different part of the house if required for bathing children etc). After initial check-in, Guests will be able to access their accommodation at all hours. Wi-fi is included. Feel free to enjoy a coffee under the tree in the secluded courtyard or watch the locals go by from the front verandah and check out the Little Tea Room and Dining Room with their historic features. We are also interested in the wider world and current affairs. The NeighborhoodBassendean is an older suburb, with the benefit of being close to the beautiful Swan River, historic Guildford with it's many antique shops, cafes and restaurants, the Swan Valley wine and grape growing region and the main arterial routes of Great Northern Hwy and Great Eastern Hwy. We are a short walk from the local shopping centre which has a supermarket, banks, travel agency and a lovely new Dome Cafe with railway carriage seating, Red Rooster take-away, pharmacy, travel ageny, hairdresser & news agency. There are lovely walks along the river and we are just a couple of kilometres from the Railway Museum for railway buffs. Bassendean is home of the Swans WAFL (Aussie rules football) team also. Being an older suburb, there are also several well established churches in the area, Anglican, Catholic, Presbyterian, Church of Christ, Assembly of God, Salvation Army etc. There are also two 24hr gyms within a short walking distance. Getting AroundWe are very close (300metres on foot) to the train to Perth city centre and Midland. Buses will take you from Bassendean Station to the large Galleria Shopping Centre at Morley. We are about 15 minutes by vehicle to the Qantas/Jetstar terminals at domestic airport (T3, T4) and 25 minutes to T1 (International) and T2 (Virgin Domestic).

It only takes 10 minutes drive to the Swan Valley region, with its vineyards and venues, also only 7 minutes drive to Galleria shopping center, where you will find the best shops options of Perth. A Transperth Bus stops at our door. It's a public transport that goes to the CBD and other stations. Your room has a double bed, a desk for your studies, an in-built wardrobe with large mirrors.       Our house is fully furnished and has ample parking. It's less than 10 minutes to the airport, 5 minutes to the historic town of Guildford and the entrance to the Swan Valley and approximately 20 minutes to Perth's CBD. The house is one of the original dwellings in the township of Bassendean and is over 100 years old. It's newly renovated with modern fixtures and furnishings so that your stay is even more comfortable. Your home away from home. A covered carport with electric gate. An enclosed back yard for privacy and relaxing outdoor sitting area with barbecue. Wifi and airconditioning/heating is provided too. Walk to the cafes, Bassendean shopping centre (free wifi) and the Swan river. If you'd prefer to catch the train to travel to the city or Fremantle then the Bassendean train station is literally on your doorstep. Spacious House in Bassendean Our house in Bassendean is only 6km from the airport; 500 m to Bassendean train station; 1 km to Bassendean shopping centre, 2 km to the river and only 3 kms to the Swan Valley. Catching a train to Perth city is only a 14 minute trip. Beautifully furnished house to suit individuals, couples or families & friends Bassendean is a quiet suburb however it is growing rapidly with exciting new cafes, eateries and bars.       Historic Cottage on the Doorstep of Swan Valley and Guildford Enjoy a relaxing stay in a historic house right on the doorstep of Perth's Wine and Food region, The Swan Valley. Moultons Cottage is a Guildford landmark, built in 1841 and part of the Guildford Heritage Trail, staying here is to experience a little slice of history. With a substantial outdoor deck overlooking the magnificent fields and Swan River, you can sit back and enjoy a fabulous local wine while watching the boats pass by. Boasting a large family French provincial style kitchen/ dinning with features including an ice maker, coffee machine modern appliances and gas fireplace. The house also has a large lounge room with open fire place, a sitting room with a pot belly stove and double French doors opening onto the large outdoor deck and gardens with ponds. The open fireplaces are perfect to snuggle up to if the weather turns chilly with a glass of the local red or port and makes this an ideal winter getaway as well. Step out of your door to experience the best of historic Guildford. A short walk to the Rose and Crown pub perfect for a Sunday afternoon with great food and live music. Stroll across Stirling Square to visit the Guildford Hotel which has been fully refurbished, restaurants, cafes and Antique Shops. The Swan Valley Tourist office located less than 300m away in the old court house, can fill you in on all the latest and greatest the Swan valley has to offer. Some of our favourites: Ride out to Elmars brew house and have a nice cold pint and a basket of hots chips, then on the way back stop at The Ugly Duckling Winery for a fantastic platter and Rose. Sample the Verdelho at Upper Reach and stay for lunch, then pop next door to pick up a bottle of Mann Champs. Breakfast at Mandoon winery and Homestead Brewery on a Sunday morning, better just jump in the kayak and paddle up. Enjoy Swan River, Perth and Surrounds Keen to sight see around Perth City and Fremantle? But like the idea of being in a historic village of Perth? One of the great things about Guildford is that it is only 16kms from the city centre. The train station is a short 10min walk and the train runs directly into Perth city in about 20mins. Stay on the same line and head straight down to Fremantle. Perth is coming of age with the opening of Elizabeth Quay, small lane way bars and plenty of fantastic places to eat. From Guildford you can enjoy what Perth City has to offer with only a short train journey, or even take a taxi. House Configuration The house is a full four bedroom house, (there is no linen cupboard pretending to be a bedroom in this house), and is as follows. Bedroom 1 has a king size four poster bed and ensuite Bedroom 2 (upstairs) has a queen size bed Bedroom 3 (downstairs) has a pull out double sofa bed Bedroom 4 has a king single, and a single bed The lounge room sofa is a king single or double bed size, however I don't usually have linen for that so that would incur an extra charge. There is a main bathroom with claw foot bath, shower and toilet. An ensuite bathroom with toilet and shower, and a separate toilet located on the deck. All the rooms in the house open to either the verandah or deck and most through double french doors as was characteristic of the period. It is one of my most favourite things about the house. Please Note: as this is an old house (the oldest continual residence in WA) and as such has been added to and joined onto over the years there is internal stairs (some only one or two) and two staircases.

      My place is only 10 mins drive to the Swan Valley wine area and is close to the airports, city centre, parks, restaurants and dining. You’ll love my place because the house is fantastic and the views are stunning with a real country feel. My place is good for couples, families at (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets). Imagine kayaking on the swan from your garden (2 kayaks to use, one double)

Take all three rooms and have the floor to yourself. We are also on the doorstep of Ascot, Guildford and Swan Valley...not to mention the Airports - International 》7min taxi/uber/shofer Domestic 》10 min taxi/uber/shofer If solo or couple we may even be available to pop over and get you. Plenty of off street parking but only a short walk(12mins) for Train Station into Perth City(15mins). If you like walking or want to borrow a bike...the nature trails that go past are fantastic. The NeighborhoodAshfield is amazing and recently took me by surprise despite having lived in Perth burbs for 35 years. Heaps of water/river access, nature reserves, bird sanctuarys, walking trails go twitching/bird watching from our doorstep as many species (in particular some huge Osprey) all nest nearby. As well as being on the doorstep of historic Bassendean and Guildford so you can go antiquing or just have a coffee in cool surrounds we are also near Mount Lawley for the uber hip cafe strip. Go a bit further(10 mins) out and just try to visit all the wineries, craft brewers, bee keepers and other amazing venues in our superfood bowl...biodynamics, organics, you name it and it happens in there. Getting AroundLess than 10 min by brisk walk to train Train takes 15 minutes to Perth Central Underground and that is next doir to Perth Central Busport - so you get anywhere from there. Fremantle. Joondalup. Mandurah. All Universities. By car we are -1 min from Guildford Road(direct route joining City to Guildford) -3 min from Tonkin Hwy -Airport 5mins - beach 17 mins Other Things to NoteThis is a massive old house we are improving section by section slowly. The AirBnB top floor was done first and is very nice and clean; the rest is fine but not flash; hence the price. So please do not expect the Hilton but rather enjoy the incredible place to relax and connect to nature. Peace and love.
