NOTES ABOUT THE PUNGO RIVER-
The channel off of the Pungo River has a muddy bottom. It is not conducive to walking. Please note that there is NO beach like area to swim in at our cove or off our shoreline. You will need to boat or kayak into the Pungo River area (big water) to see sand. It is about two miles away in low tide to the nearest small beachy area by boat. Our shoreline has fill that helps protect it from erosion, and is rough on your feet, and not be walked upon. We load and unload off the pier and the dock to get into the boats, paddle boat and kayaks. Please review the pictures to see the grassy area as that is where the walking area ends.
*This mobile home is at sea level and is located on a dead end road.
*There is a small marina (7 boats) at the end of the street, so there is deep water access. Note: this is set up for fishermen and fishing boats. Bigger boats will need to access the state boat ramp, 1 mile away, 1 road over.
*We do not have internet, when we come we carry our personal hotspot and it works well. *This can be upon request included in the stay. No streaming or video downloadiing is allowed. It is very peaceful and quiet in our area. We have basic cable, and lots of movies that you are welcomed to watch.
Cell phone use through US Cellular is present as the cell phone tower is nearby, other carriers may vary. Guest AccessYou have use of the entire home, pier, parking area and boat ramp for the length of your stay. If you would like to use our kayaks or paddle boat during your stay, please request this in your message. We currently have two kayaks for guest use.
*Hot spot for internet use available upon request, not to be used for streaming or guest charges will apply. Basic cable available
*Cell phone use varies depending on carrier. US Cellular works well. Interaction with Guests*Call anytime before your stay with questions. Note this is our second home, so we do not live here.
*Cell phone service varies.
**We are one hour away and will come if needed.
*The actual city center of Belhaven is 10 miles away, The Oldest Town in NC-Historic Bath is about the same distance. On the map you will see that Belhaven winds all around the Pungo River, so expect that it will take you awhile to get where you are going.

Other Things to Note*This home is in the process of being updated, so fresh paint and flooring have been installed in parts of the home. Other parts are rustic and a bit worn.
* Other parts still need updating. This is not for those expecting a "perfect" home. We call it well loved and a well worn in places, but overall a happy vacation spot. *We have left detailed guides with maps of the kayak and boating trails for you in the home.
*During some summer months the mosquitoes can be bothersome in the evening. Please bring insect repellent.
