The SpaceWelcome to my comfortable single room that comes with TV, radio and patio doors leading to a south facing terraced garden. I'm placed in an ideal location, being just a 2 minute walk to the famous Northcote Road, which is of course renowned for it’s many buzzy bars, restaurants, cafes, shops, and lovely market. Additionally, we're only a 5 minute walk to Clapham Junction Station, which has many very frequent trains that run directly in to Victoria and Waterloo stations and take only 8 minutes to either station. So travelling within London is covered - you've got terrific transport connections. If parks are part of your routine, the lovely Wandsworth Common is also only 1 minute walk away, and you can enjoy the beautiful and quite large common for walking, running, or just enjoying the outdoors. Breakfast can be provided on request. Please message me if you have any questions or require any special arrangements.

Clapham Junction boasts the famous Clapham Grand, a venue hosting a great variety of events depending on the night. Most tastes are catered for in the Grand at some time or other, and the place has a great feel to it. Inigo is a much smaller bar/club about five minutes from the station, and plays a wide range of funky house and dance music along with regular promotional drinks offers. Clapham Junction also has a Rileys' 24-hour pool bar, which is a bit of a boys club and hosts both pool and poker tournaments. Transportation Clapham Junction is about eight minutes from Waterloo, with 35 trains an hour. It's nice to have guaranteed timing in your journey to work! There are no Underground stations in Clapham Junction but with so many trains, it hardly seems to matter. The station also provides you with the opportunity for a day out almost anywhere in the south of England without too much hassle. The High Street has three stations on the Northern Line (Clapham South, North and Common), which can all have you in the West End or the city in fifteen minutes . Clapham High Street, a small usually unmanned station, also has a service to Victoria. The SpaceDo contact me with any questions! (Je parle français / Hablo español / io parlo italiano / eu falo portugues). I'm always so touched by how many people immediately comment on how beautiful the house is when they enter. I felt the same way when I first walked into it 18 years ago. It just has a incredibly light and comfortable feel to it. It was built in 1890 and it has Victorian charm oozing from the ceilings and fireplaces, but most of all it's a home. You can't help but feel comfortable here. It has everything you could want to make your stay comfortable and convenient: * Super fast 150GB broadband/ WiFi (2G and 5G) that reaches everywhere the house * Huge Samsung Fridge * Dishwasher * Washing machine and dryer * Dining tables in dining room and kitchen too. * Sainsbury's local 5 mins ways or Waitrose or a big ASDA within 10 mins. * Microwave if you need quick food or fully equipped kitchen if you like to cook, including food processor, bread maker, rice cooker, etc. There's even a piano in the dining room if you like to play! Guest AccessAccess to the whole house (3 bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and garden). Interaction with GuestsI won't be present during your stay. I may be there to meet you at the beginning if I'm in London, but if not I'll arrange for you to be let in and there are detailed notes inside explaining everything you need to know. I do enjoy getting to know my guests though so do please call or email me any time to ask questions or chat. The NeighborhoodI've lived in Clapham Junction for almost 20 years and it's genuinely one of the nicest places in London. It's super-convenient to get almost anywhere in London quickly and major transport locations like Gatwick. Despite being central in zone 2 it still manages to have a wonderful small-town feel to the area, with friendly neighbours, weekend markets (try Northcote Road market for all sorts of artisan food and products) and you can't walk more than 5 minutes without hitting a park or green space, or the river! Getting AroundSee the map I've added to the photos section. The tube map doesn't overground connections but they are part of the Oyster card network(!) so people don't realise Clapham Junction is actually connected to everywhere. Add buses and you're within 20-30 minutes of almost anywhere you'd want to visit. There are 3 "Boris bike" stations within a few minutes walk if you fancy riding around. There are Zip cars parked if you want to hire but for most London travel the underground and overground trains are brilliant! Clapham Junction Connections - London's best kept secret! It's built into the cost of your stay, not extra. Jack, my wonderful little Jack Russell lives here - he _won't_ be here during your stay but if you're allergic to dogs that might be a concern for you. Trains: the house has a train line running behind it. Many of the trains are so quiet you won't even hear them but there are some you can if you're in a north facing room. At night the trains mostly stop running but on New Year's Eve trains run all night which may disturb your sleep (as one guest has commented, but this is an exceptional day). If you usually live in the countryside you might notice them more. On the plus side, once or twice a week the Orient Express Steam Train service goes past which is an amazing thing to see (and hear). If you're lucky you'll get to see this. Please let me know DURING the stay if there are any issues so that I can sort them our immediately! I care about my guests experience as you'll see from the reviews. I want your stay to be perfect.

À la mode There’s no need to nip across la Manche for your French fancy. With its style and flair, beauty and bibelots, Brussels Road will have anyone jumping for joie de vivre. The décor couldn’t be more vieux jeu, all flea market finds and charmingly chipped furniture, while there’s more than a soupçon of sunshine in the rustic kitchen. You’ve a sweetly picturesque garden where, once that Beaujolais is sipped, you can spin up a spiral staircase straight into the luxurious master bedroom. With both Wandsworth and Clapham to call on too, this is one home whose loveliness can’t be lost in translation. Savour faire Your hosts are devout Francophiles, so much so that their daughters attend French schools and are fluent in the tongue! A distinctly stylish couple, she is a beauty PR, while he works in online marketing. Tour de force For Gallic glamour, this home is rather hard to beat. The kitchen has a country feel, with daylight playing across its wooden floor and white worktops. You’ve a dining table for four, as well as some jazzy barstools, jaunty lampshades and a colourful couch over in the playroom. After dinner, sip a digestif in the garden, or slip downstairs to the sitting room. Here, French antiques, a fireplace and slouchy sofa make a chic (and cosy) combination. You’ve also an office of artwork and photographs, as well as a quaint double bedroom and stylish ensuite. Upstairs awaits the master bedroom: bright, airy and full of floral flourishes. The ensuite lies behind double doors, with its freestanding bath and a romantic spiral staircase which brings you and your beau back to the garden. You’ve two children’s bedrooms, both a-brim with toys, as well as a sweet single and another shiny bright bathroom, stocked with our fluffy towels. Bon voyage On sunny days, le tout Clapham heads for the Common, one of south London’s loveliest picnicking spots. You can see a show at the Clapham Grand, or shop on Lavender Hill, one of those many corners of the capital immortalised by film. Turn the other way for Northcote Road market or pop across the river to the cafes and fancy boutiques of Fulham. You can be in Oxford Circus in just over twenty minutes from Clapham Junction. Additional amenities include: iron & ironing board, hob, toiletries, coffee machine, cafetiere, hairdryer, onefinestay iphone. Cancellation Policy No-quibble cool-off period. Provided you book more than seven days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking no questions asked within 24 hours of making it, and we will refund 100% of any charges.
