The Space An unusual space designed and built by the owner featuring an open plan living area with doors to the private outside area. Situated in the heart of Battersea and you are a short walk from the hustle and bustle of London's trendy Northcote Road.
Our property is a perfect space for 2 couples, families and a small groups of friends. We will offer a special price if some of your guests are little ones, so if you are booking for a family holiday please ask for a more flexible price!
The space is designed over 3 floors, a converted warehouse set back from the main road. The living area is open plan with double doors opening on to the private outside decking area with table and chairs. There are two double bedrooms, light and airy with plenty of hanging space and drawers for your clothes.
All clean bedding and towels are provided and there are hairdryers in each room.
On the second floor there is a smaller, cosy reception room with a sofa, television, desk, reading light, the sofa opens to a comfortable double bed, there is a further sofa bed in the sitting room. A single fold out bed is also available, and a travel cot on request!
There is one bathroom on the first floor with a large bath/shower, sink and loo, shampoo, conditioner, soap and fresh towels. the downstairs area is spacious and comprises a fully fitted kitchen, dining area, and sitting room leading to the outside decked area.
Once through the communal entrance guests will have access to the whole property. You are asked to please use the communal parts quietly. Thank you.
Myself or my husband will always try be there to welcome you to the property, show you around and answer any questions, if we are unavailable to be there you will be met by a friend who will be equally happy to show you round! During your stay you can reach us by phone if you have any queries or problems we will help you. We will also try to be there for your checkout but if not we will talk to discuss arrangements.
Clapham Junction is the heart of Battersea, from here you can stroll the length of trendy Northcote Road which is home to many shops and boutiques, a fresh fish and seafood stall, two award winning butchers, a wonderful cheese shop, and the historic food market which dates back to the 1960's as well as the indoor Northcote Road Antiques Market. There are restaurants, bars and cafes all along Northcote Rd with something for everyone, trendy busy bars, quiet intimate restaurants, family cafes, fresh burger bars and gastro pubs. There is a wide choice of supermarkets, banks, cashpoints and a post office.
Northcote Road lies between two commons, so you have easy access to open green space for walking, jogging, taking the kids to the swings and slides.
After a short walk to Clapham Junction Station there are trains to Waterloo and Victoria (10 mins), Gatwick Airport (30 mins) Olympia, Westfield shopping centre and Shepherds Bush (15 mins), Wimbledon, Brighton and many other destinations. Many local buses head over to the King's Road towards Sloane Square, Fulham and South Kensington taking approximately 20 mins. Heathrow airport is 30 mins in a car/taxi, and London's only heliport is only a 15 minute walk away!
We will provide you with some basics, ie: fresh coffee and tea, bread, butter and milk and fruit to start off your stay with us and feel free to use what is available in the kitchen cupboards/fridge, after that there are many shops close by. Out of courtesy to the next guests please replace any condiments that you finish, and leave a few tea bags and sugar,always one loo roll in the bathroom, and a couple of bin liners in the kitchen!
For little ones we have a toy box, a potty and some baby monitors, we also have a fold out single bed (on request) which is ideal for little ones as well as a travel cot for babies. If you need a high chair, or any other items let us know and if we can supply them we will.
If the property is booked for a month a weekly cleaner will be provided with clean bed linen and towels for £45.
For guests booked in for 5 nights or more we will provide towelling dressing gowns, slippers and some of our special handmade soap which is exclusive to our establishment! For any other guests wanting the luxury bundle it can be provided with advance notice for a price of £15 per person. Guest AccessOnce through the communal you arrive at a very private , decked courtyard where you can lock the door behind as only you will have access to this part, from then on you have complete access to all areas. Interaction with GuestsMy husband and I will always be on hand to help with any queries or problems if they arise. The NeighborhoodThere are many lovely restaurants in the vicinity, anything from Indian, Thai, Italian, British and more. There are many bakeries where the bread is baked fresh throughout the day, a fruit and veg market, specialist cheese shop, wine shops plenty of good supermarkets the biggest one is 24 hours (in case you are a late arrival) and many banks with cash points are around. Getting AroundClapham Junction train station is only five minutes away and from there you can get to many many destinations like Waterloo and Victoria (10 minutes) West London, Olympia, shepherds Bush and Kensington (15 minutes) There are many buses that can take you over the river into Chelsea, Sloane Square and South Kensington. London bicycles are available to hire if you feel energetic, local cab numbers are in the house manual and for those who want to treat themselves the Battersea heliport is !5 minutes walk away!
For those who are driving and need to park there are two parking bays on Buckmaster Road, the next street along from the property, they are free for one hour so handy for loading and unloading, after that there is meter parking along one side of the same road, maximum stay 4 hours, £3 an hour, becomes free after 5.30 and on Sundays.
Shop Stop car park is a pay and display car park found behind Clapham junction train station off Falcon Road, open 24 hours with CCTV, costs are : 1 hour = £1, 2 hours = £2.20, 3 hours = £4, 5 hours = £9, 7 hours = £15, 10 hours = £20, or special price if you park from 8pm - 8am is £1!!!
Nearby is Asda car park which is free but maximum stay 2 hours.
Not too far away is the Travelodge hotel car park in York road, 3 hours = £4, 6 hours = £8, 9 hours = £12, 12 hours = £15, 24 hours = £30. Other Things to NotePlease count your small children and babies as 1 person, for example a booking of 8 people plus 1 baby will make 9 and we simply do not have the space for that many!
