The SpaceFalmouth is a special place on a unique Island ..... so relaxing !
Sheoaks is rich in style and comfort, we designed and built it and hope you love and enjoy it as much as we do. It's a great base for exploring the rest of the coast, North to the Bay of Fires South to Freycinet and every spot in-between.
You can of course just hang out in Falmouth, beach combing, play tennis, go fishing or diving, swim in the warm waters of Henderson's Lagoon, go for a surf, ride your bike, or just relax around Sheoakes and read that book/magazine you've been meaning to.
Or maybe just lie around the decks in the sun and look out for fishing boats, Sydney Hobart yachts racing down the coast or Southern Right and Hump back whales that drift by, sometimes breaching right in front of you depending on the time of the year.
Cook up a storm in the gourmet kitchen, equipped with quality kitchenware. Gas hob, electric fan forced oven, Miele dish washer microwave, coffee machine etc, you get the picture.
P.S. On a clear night the sky puts on a spectacular show. Enjoy !! Guest AccessAll of Sheoakes Beach House is for you to use. There is a contempory twist on the classic shack sleep out, separate from the house. It has a comfortable double bed loft and a clean calm area to read or just relax.
The outside shower is bliss after your trip to the beach or have a shower under the stars. If you surf it's great to get out of your wetsuit in hot water for those winter sessions.
Winter is a special time here, it's fantastic watching the sea build into a violent storm snuggled up next to the fire with a hot chocolate. Firewood is on the deck.
We have a washing machine please feel free to use it if you need to, the washing powder is under the laundry trough.
The kitchen pantry has some great cooking staples for you to use. Interaction with GuestsBoth Sarah and I are available by phone any time during your stay if you have any questions. The NeighborhoodFalmouth is off the east coast tourist trail so no street lights, no shops /petrol stations, has dirt roads etc, very quiet ........ it's great we like it like that. So come stocked up with food and wine. The nearest shop/petrol station is 10-15 min's away by car at St Marys or up the coast at Scamander.
We are 3hrs from Hobart and 2 hrs from Launceston.
1 hour to Bay of Fires to the North and 1 hour to Frecinet Peninsula to the South. Getting AroundYou need a car to get to and from Falmouth. Most of the time we don't even use the car once in Falmouth. Enjoy the walking. Other Things to NoteBring all your toys, bikes, surfboards, kayaks, fishing rods, dive gear, tennis racquets etc, there is a use for all in Falmouth alone.
Voda phone has terrible coverage despite its bold claims.
We have a good speaker system that you can plug your lap top, pad or phone into for your favourite tunes. A TV on the wall with some DVD's in the cabinet.
