Eighteen Mile Homestead is a large family home where the family and owners of the property lived and operated a cattle farm (still in operation these days....you may catch a viewing) for over three decades. The homestead is located on acreage nearby the Albert River (approx. 100mtrs...access is available to guests). It is also positioned in the foothills of the Darlington Range mountains, in the beautiful Lost World Valley and part of the Scenic Rim Region.
Eighteen Mile Homestead has 6 bedrooms and sleeps a total of 15 people -
Room 1 - one queen bed (with ensuite)
Room 2 - one queen bed
Room 3 - one queen bed
Room 4 - two single beds - adjoins with Room 3
Room 5 - two single beds (or optional king sized bed upon booking request)
Room 6 - two single beds
Plus - one double foldout sofa-bed and one single foldout roller bed
Eighteen Mile Homestead comes equipped with: 3 bathrooms, a full sized kitchen with dishwasher, kitchenette, dining room, 2 large living rooms (one with indoor open fire place), laundry - washing machine, dryer, iron & ironing board, 1 large capacity reverse cycle air conditioner in dining room/kitchen area, T.V., DVD player, portable heaters (including oil variety), fans, table tennis, outdoor eating area with 4 burner gas BBQ, in-ground swimming pool and outdoor camp fire area.
N.B. Please bring any bed linen required for infants â€“ we have 2 portable cots, though please check for availability upon booking request. There is also a basic timber high chair but no harness.
Please find the following list of items that we provide for your stay:-
All bed linen, bath towels, floor mats and hand towels. Blankets, electric blankets, hot water bottles and heaters (incl oil heaters) are provided for the cooler months.
A sufficient amount of laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent and dishwasher tablets.
Toiletry items such as soaps, shampoo, conditioner, body moisturiser, tissues and toilet paper - at least 2 rolls in each of the 3 toilets.
Tea (black, plus some herbal varieties), coffee, sugar and 1lt milk (long life).
A small amount of other helpful items such as extra bin liners, cling wrap, alfoil, and paper towel.
A generous amount of firewood. If extra is desired, you are welcome to collect more from the surrounding paddock â€“ please let us know if you would like to borrow an axe.
Complimentry bottle of wine and chocolates on arrival (full priced bookings only).
