We live in a leafy and family suburb of Castle Hill. We are a young couple with 2 girls age of 6 & 3... our family is full of energy with love and laughter and plenty to share with our home stay. The house is set in a nice quite estate, near primary school, high school, tafe college and plenty of shopping and cafe... And the bus stop is just around the corner of our place.. The SpaceG'day! Our studio apartment is self contained with a Queen size bed, sofa, dining table and chairs, work bench and plenty of storage space. It is equipped with TV, Wi Fi, Air Cond, well stocked kitchen, bathroom with shower and a private entrance. You would also have the use of our pool and laundry facilities available if need be. We live in what is known as Sydney's Hills district and are within walking distance to Muirfield Golf Course and Westfield shopping Centre, North Rocks. Macquarie University, one of Australia's leading universities is not far away. The studio apartment is attached to our house which overlooks Bidjigal Reserve, a place of rugged natural beauty and full of hidden treasures; a time capsule of ancient ecosystems, aboriginal shelters and colonial history with sheer sandstone cliffs, towering eucalypt forest, sparkling creeks and sheltered rainforest gullies, it is an oasis of natural habitat in the middle of urban Sydney. The reserve supports a wide range of birds - like Wrens and Thornbills; mammals - such as Echidnas and Sugar Gliders and various reptiles and insects. There are many excellent bushwalks in Bidjigal Reserve. Visitors to our garden include birds such as Kookaburras, Crimson Rosellas, Sulphur Crested Cockatoos and Rainbow Lorikeets. We have much to offer living as we do so close to the bush and yet within easy reach of the city of Sydney - half an hour away by bus. We are well served with an excellent bus service; every couple of minutes in peak hour otherwise every 10-15 minutes and until the wee small hours Friday & Saturday nights. With easy to access public transport you can explore the many beautiful beaches Sydney boasts - more than 50 in total. There is much to see and do in the area; we are close to the historic town of Parramatta while the beautiful Blue Mountains are about 90 minutes drive away or you can catch a train from Parramatta which is also easily accessible by bus. The icing on the cake is that we live in a very quiet, friendly and safe suburb. Our neighbours would all welcome you into the area. We would prefer you to contact us first before booking to ask whatever questions you might have. We want to make sure that you'll be happy with what we have to offer before you arrive. We, (Michelle and Kevin) are the proud parents of six adult children and five beautiful grandchildren. We are both now officially retired. Amongst the jobs Kevin did in his working life was to design many of the lights in the Sydney Opera House and he later ran his own business. Kevin's hobbies include golfing, cooking, gardening, bushwalking, reading and he's a handy person to have around when there is a pile of ironing to be done! Apart from the jobs associated with motherhood I have worked in theatre box offices and run my own business. My hobbies include reading, gardening, cooking, bushwalking, tennis and writing - I have just finished writing my second book, the first one published in 2006. We enjoy visiting Art Galleries, Museums, Historic Houses, Theatre, Concerts and Ballet although the latter three are more up my alley than Kevin's! We also love to regularly socialise with friends and amongst our close-knit family. We are also keen travellers which is how we discovered Airbnd. The SpaceOur cosy room is bright and comes with a happy family! Get a bit of suburbia in busy Sydney with easy access to the city. Guest AccessGuests will have access to a shared bathroom, with an additional toilet downstairs. There is a washing machine, tumble dryer and clothes line for your convenience. Guests will have full access to the common living areas (lounge with TV and DVD), landing at the top of the stairs with TV and XBox. Guests will also be able to use the keyboard and computer screen if they need to do any work, the computer desk is in the same room as the lounge. Guests will have full use of the kitchen, and if you would like to join us for dinner (on the few nights we are in, please let us know and you are welcome to join). There is also a dining room if you would like to eat there. Guests will have access to WiFi (if you need more than 5GB a week, extra will need to be charged). Our townhouse block has a bus stop outside the front with buses running into the city. We also have a dog who is super affectionate and well natured. She is part of the family and is an indoor dog so comfort around dogs is recommended. There is also ducted air conditioning upstairs (where the bedrooms are located, and your room can be operated separately). Interaction with GuestsAs this is our home and are a lively family, we welcome conversation and interaction, however we sometimes get quite busy and are not always home. We do not expect guests to sit and talk with us if they feel like being alone as we can appreciate personal space and quiet time! The NeighborhoodCherrybrook is a picture of 'suburbia', with a park 200m up the road, offering a playground and lovely green grass to sit and contemplate life. We often take our dog to the park on a summers evening after work and enjoy the neighbourhood feeling. Getting AroundWe have access to buses which head straight into the city (40 minutes with good traffic, an hour with bad traffic). The train station is not that close (about 45 minute walk).

The SpaceMy apartment are in a good location, In 10 m walk you can have some very nice restaurant,Italian,Greek,Indian,Thai and Chinese,and a Big Shopping Center with more then 130 retail shop. Guest AccessDownstairs you will find a nice queen size bed in one of the bedroom with unsuited plus toilet, and a big wardrobe and flat TV, the second bedroom will have 1 single bed with another one folder way bed, and a queen single bed and a wardrobe. We have the second Bathroom with the Spa bath and a spared shower and toilette as well. Upstairs you will be happy to find a very nice open kitchen plus dishwasher and a additional toilet plus the Landry with wash machine and dryer. You will find a nice dining table where 8 to 10 peoples will be happy to enjoy they lunch, also you will relax on a massif leather lounge for 5 or 6 peoples can watch a nice movie with a DVD on a big flat scream TV or the kids will play playstation. Outdoor table of 6 peoples will be on a big balcony. A security car park are available as well in a complex.Also you will enjoy in a complex a nice swimming Pool for summer ans Spa. Just type in this address as your departure point and it will tell you how to get to your destination from here. The neatest Public bus transport is approx 250m away. Goes to Epping and Parramatta, Homebush etc. Express bus to Sydney city CBD is very easy from Oakes Road M2 bus stop. 12 min walk away then take Hillsbus to city (non stop). This is my regular route to get into the city. Should take 30 mins traffic dependent. Search "Hillsbus" If you are carrying luggage from the airport, I recommend using Hills Airport Shuttle. They use mini busses to pick you up from airport and drop you at home. Otherwise, negotiating public transport with luggage after a long flight can be quite tiring but not impossible. Guest AccessAccess to the property from the road is from Greenoaks Avenue and taking the first driveway at number 30. Number 41 is in the far left hand side of the cul-de-sac when approaching from the driveway. Parking is available in the carport in front of the property and there is also visitor parking located when entering from the second driveway and following the road to the right. There is plenty of on street parking available too. There is a pedestrian pathway at the northern end of the pool enclosure that can be accessed from Newline Rd near the bus shelter however you need the key (supplied) to get in and out of the gate. Once at the property you can use the front door key to access the property noting the second key gives you access to the rear gate as detailed above and the pool enclosure. There is a side gate to the back yard and you can access the back deck and yard from the rear door. Note: Please keep the rear door locked when not using it for external access. The pool is a resort style community pool located in the complex and close to the property. Once in the pool enclosure access can be gained to the pool area using the child proof gates located at the southern end of the pool enclosure. The SpaceComfortable one or two bedrooms are available in a lovely house with beautiful English style garden. A quiet street with one side in a reserve and plenty of parking. The house has a large garden and a back veranda. Kitchen and dining room are downstairs while bedrooms are upstairs. The master bedroom has a double bed with second bedrooms having a single bed, I can also set up one or two folding beds. All bedrooms have build in wardrobes. The NeighborhoodCheltenham is a quiet, established, leafy neighbourhood full of gardens and large gum trees and adjoined to a national park. There is a famous Koala Park less than 10 minutes drive away where you can get close a pat koalas, kangaroos and other cute Australian animals. Macquarie University is only 7 minutes away by train and there is a great shopping centre with leading international brands just next to it. There are good restaurants and pubs in the area. It is also an ideal base if you want to relax after a busy day exploring city attractions. Getting AroundAbout 10 minute walk to Cheltenham train station to get to the city by train in 40 minutes. It is only 7 minutes to Macquarie Universityby train . About 22 km by car to the the city centre.
