The SpaceFor nature lovers, writers and artists or for those who simply want to get away from the concrete jungle and connect with nature. Ezulwini Cottage is perched on a hill and sits on 1.4 acres of fertile land, commanding the most magnificent views of ocean, hills and valleys. Our house is built of green heart timber so it is cool without the need for air conditioning. Mosquitoes are rare because it is windy up here. Our organic garden boasts of over 15 varieties of seasonal fruits, vegetables and a small herb garden. Walk through and pick whatever fruits and veggies are in season, while watching the hummingbird hovering over the flowers extracting the nectar. Do you know the rate at which a hummingbird flaps its wings? You will just have to relax and try counting! Our double bedrooms are bright, airy and comfortable. Relax on the expansive balcony while eating a plate of fresh fruits from our garden, sipping sundowners - try our own special cocktail "Ezulwini Sunset" while enjoying the panoramic view and gorgeous sunsets. We have an additional balcony upstairs to capture the mountain views; there is also a library and a sitting area if you need to be alone. There are also yoga mats if you are interested. Forget your troubles and cares. Come to simplicity, come to Ezulwini Cottage. Ezulwini is a Siswati/Zulu word meaning ‘Heaven’. Please note this a a bed and breakfast so there are no cooking facilities - however, we can prepare meals for you. Interaction with GuestsWe aim to make you feel at home. We can help plan your tours of the island and offer useful tips to make your stay enjoyable as well as save you money. We can collect you from the airport at a reduced rate or we can have a taxi collect you, as well as join you on trips if time allows. We have special car hire rates with two companies but you must book early. We also work so we won't be able to entertain you all day long. The NeighborhoodEnjoy a short, quiet drive through a small shady cocoa plantation before approaching the cottage which is only an 8 minute bus ride away from the famous La Sagesse beach and nature centre. Waterfalls are only 10 mins' drive away. We are 30 minutes away from the city centre and 35 minutes away from the airport. Grenville town is 20 minutes (website hidden). Saint David's is an ideal location to access popular attractions including Grand Etang Lake, River Antoine Distillery, Forts George, Fredrick and Old Fort. It's also great for cycling and getting to meet the locals or go for nature walks. This is also a good place to recuperate. In Grenada it is the custom to greet others we meet along the way with "Good morning" or "Good afternoon." It is a way of recognizing a person's presence, so don't be surprised if you get lots of "good mornings"! Getting AroundYou can rent a car, jeep, moped or bicycle. There are buses to and from St. George's and Grenville, which usually run up until 7 or 8 p.m. You can't get lost. People are very friendly and are more than happy to give you directions. Please note that the price quoted is based on a couple per night per room with tropical breakfast included. Breakfast includes homemade bread and jams, tea (herbal or regular) or coffee, seasonal fruits and juices from our garden. Please note this a a bed and breakfast so there are no cooking facilities - however, we can prepare meals for you but you must order early morning. Meals can be prepared for your convenience at an additional fee. They must be booked in advance as they are always freshly prepared. Vegetarian meals are no problem either. Please note this a a bed and breakfast so there is no cooking facilities - however, we can prepare meals for you. Since I volunteer with Medecins Sans Frontieres, I may or may not meet you. However, Jelena who is from Croatia, is a superb cook and will be delighted to host you.

The SpaceThe apartment is screened so insects are not a problem and we have plenty of cool ocean breezes in addition to ceiling fans. We provide a local cell phone for use by our guests at no charge. The self catering apartment contains bath essentials as well as basic food condiments and kitchen essentials. You are good to go! Our charming apartment at Tropical Joy is about a 30 minute drive from the town of St. Georges. If taxi, vehicle rentals or tour services are required, we know affordable, professional people who can assist. Guest AccessGuests have access to the local beaches. We have a nice one at Belle Isle. Interaction with GuestsGuests can enjoy their privacy, however, since we live at the property we are always available for direction to Grenada's beautiful landmarks. We are great cooks so meals can always be arranged if our guests are so inclined. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is quiet and for the most part without the barking dogs, and loud music. We are rural and the neighbors are great. Locals fish from the point down the road. Hiking is fun and we have a local ruin of a sugar mill just around the corner. Be sure to say hello to all as we are very friendly here in St. David's Parish and most everyone is keen to be helpful. Getting AroundWe have bus service at the main road that is very affordable. We recommend hiring a car or taxi although as good hosts, we are available in an emergency. Other Things to NoteWe are not against small, well behaved pets as long as no damage incurs and the guests clean up after them. This is all at our discretion.

In addition it is on the eastern side of the island where they are many beaches and coves to explore. Seeing is beliving come to LE SHERIDON and experience GRENADA. Guest AccessLE SHERIDON is on one acre of land with fruit trees which is available to the guest. The area has walking and hiking trails and any additional experiences pertaining to the local culture can be requested. Interaction with GuestsI am available to welcome all guest, in addition I live on the property. The NeighborhoodThe property is located on an estate with other beauty homes. To reach LE SHERIDON you have to pass through the village of BELLE ISLE and it gives you a sense of how the locals live. Any request or questions we are happy to assist. The NeighborhoodBELLE ISLE is a quaint village on the eastern part of the island between ST.GEORGES the capital and ST ANDREW the largest parish. The property have magnificent views of the ocean and mountains with many beaches near by and one near the property. If you are looking for serenity, peacefulness, and adventure LE SHERIDON is the place. Getting AroundLE SHERIDON location is in a quiet and tranquil location away from public transportation, we recommend a rental, however, if need arises we can transport the guests to public transportation. Also the location is near many of the tourist attractions on the eastern part of the island. Other Things to NoteWe suggest a rental car to travel to different sights around the island and the location is on a peninsula close to the Atlantic Ocean away from the main road.

La Sagesse Beach is about less than 2 miles away and has a little hotel and restaurant which is quite nice for swimming or liming. Getting AroundWe have a free transfer to the airport. We also can recommend a reliable and good vehicle rental service available 24/7. Other Things to NoteWe have one small dog on the property that is very friendly. The bay is partially protected by a reef , has a crescent sandy beach and plenty of shade ,- and the depth of the water shelves very gradually. La Sagesse Country Inn & Beach Bar is by the beach and offers cold drinks & delicious ice-cream as well as snacks and full meals - plus two washrooms.           Originally built as a private artist's atelier in 1994, Amaryllis House is a secluded, idyllic retreat, a place to completely relax, in nature and away from the pressures of urban life. Built entirely of wood in a traditional tropical style, the house features a high-ceilinged great room with skylight. Verandah doors fold back to create a panoramic view of meadows, forested lands, sea and cliffs. This is a natural living: there is no air conditioning, and you sleep under mosquito nets. Here, you experience from the house the unspoiled beauty of the island, and at the same time get a taste of local village life. Amaryllis House is perfect for the guest wanting to get off the beaten track. And because it is a self-contained cottage rather than a resort, our rates remain affordable. The house is situated on the Atlantic coast 40 minutes from Grenada's capital St. George's, and 20 minutes south of the second largest town, Grenville, near the village of Crochu. A bakery, a small grocery store, and night-time street-side BBQ is a short drive away, as is the Cabier Ocean Lodge, which offers restaurant-style meals with notice. Grenadians are among the Caribbean's most welcoming, friendly, helpful and hospitable people and will afford you the friendship and courtesies you show them. At Amaryllis House, a sleeping loft with a double bed, two daybeds in the great room, and a bed on the verandah sleep six in total (but somewhat tightly), with a well-equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with shower. Take breakfast on the verandah, while watching birds including tiny iridescent humming birds at certain times of year. Fall asleep lulled by the sound of the sea lapping the beach, and awaken to cooling sea breezes, or enjoy a view of the ocean in the loft with champagne-like light dappling through the trees. For the adventurous, come in rainy season (June-September), when daily downpours mean that everything is growing and the mangoes are in season (and insects more plentiful!) A footpath leads you through a meadow to Mahot Beach, used by local fishermen. One of the most beautiful beaches for safe swimming on the island, Cabier Beach, is a 15 minute walk away. The property features a grove of tropical shrubs and fruit trees: calabash, soursop, papayas, bananas, cinnamon, a variety of mangoes, sapodillas, cashew, and coconut trees, as well as bougainvillea, heliconia, crotons, lemon grass, oleanders, and ixoras. We are happy to arrange airport transfer, and car rental. Although a car is not necessary -- taxis are available and buses run frequently from the main intersection -- a car will definitely facilitate a fuller appreciation of the island.
