The SpaceLocated in the middle of Bend Oregon, my house is a great base for exploring the city and beyond. Whether you'd like to take a hike up Pilot Butte, grab a local beer, take off to see Dillon Falls on the Deschutes River or ski Mt. Bachelor, it feels like you are only minutes away. I open my home to you for your enjoyment during your stay in Bend. I have four bedrooms for my airbnb guests. The two bathrooms are shared for my airbnb guest, as well. I provide soaps and shampoos, and clean towels. The kitchen may be used by guests as well, ready with cookware and basic spices. Just bring your main ingredients to cook your own meals 'at home'. Of course, if you choose to eat out, there are many great choices 5 minutes to downtown. Deschutes Brewery, Silver Moon Brewery, Taj Palace, Brother Johns, or the classic Pine Tavern are all recommended choices. I cut custom lapidary sculpture and jewelry. Some of my pieces are found through out the house and they are for sale. I work with quartz primarily, cutting small pieces, hand held and pendants, and also have a collection of quartz lit up in light bases of old growth juniper. I work on pieces most days in my studio. Tours are available, so if you have a raw piece of stone that you've been wanting cut or polished, bring it in and lets see what can happen. I look forward to meeting you and sharing my little piece of Bend. Cheers, Lee Other Things to NoteI consider your pets as additional guests. Please include them in the number of guests in your party, as I charge a $10 per night fee, just like a human. Thank you!

We also have music room/studio/shop attached to the guest room. At times, we rehearse our music and record. This happens mostly in the early evenings maybe once or twice during the week. Most guests appreciate the low volume acoustic music, but we are aware that there may be times when guests want some peace and quiet. We will let you know when we're planning on practicing to coordinate those times and be sure not to disturb you. We prefer to introduce guests to our dog Sam so he knows it's OK for you to be on the property. He's big and can be intimidating but he's very friendly when greeting guests. The two shared bathrooms are shared for my airbnb guest, as well. The kitchen may be used by guests as well, ready with cookware and basic spices. Just bring your main ingredients to cook your own meals 'at home'. Of course, if you choose to eat out, there are many great choices 5 minutes to downtown. Deschutes Brewery, Silver Moon Brewery, Taj Palace, Brother Johns, or the classic Pine Tavern are all recommended. Thank you!

The SpaceThe house is on top of a small neighborhood hill and is located a couple of blocks from the Larkspur Trail (see photos of the Larkspur Trail above). From the room you look out into and over the trees and sky and the sun sets in this part of the sky in the spring and summer. From your yard you can see Hikers at the top of Pilot Butte State Park, a short walk from your room to the Trail head. The Spacious Private Master Bedroom, Attached Full Bath with double sinks, Walk-in Closet, Private Patio, and Yard are clean, peaceful and relaxing. Queen Bed and Refrigerator, Electric Fireplace, desk, and New Samsung HD Smart TV with Direct TV. Private keyed access to the Master Bedroom with Private Master Bath. Walk-in Closet, Double sinks. Large window and full Glass Door offer a view of yard, trees, patio, rock outcropping, and more. Malibu garden lights & deco solar lights in yard for evening ambiance. From your room & private yard you can access the Larkspur trail a couple of blocks away and choose to go North or South we are about in the middle of the trail. A few minutes walk to the North takes you to Pilot Butte State Park where you might want to hike up and start your day for the best views of the city, all the mountains, and forest as far as the eye can see, or for a great sunset. It is a 500 foot elevation gain. A self-guided historical tour and landmark information located on top also. If you walk briskly you can get to the top of the Butte and back to your room in under an hour, if you take your time and stop to take in the sights it will probably be about a 2 hour hike. There are Two main trails to the top of the Butte. The paved road and the more scenic rustic path with beautiful views and lookouts with Vista Seating along the way. I suggest taking the rustic path on the way up and taking the paved path on the way down. (You Can drive up too but it is Seasonal, road close to cars in the Winter and you can walk on the pavement. In the summer you will walk on the shoulder of the road, not paved. Also in the Winter if it has been snowing there can be snow and ice on the North side of the Butte when you get higher up but it is walkable all the way to the top if you have the right shoes. Some people use the slip-on Yaktrax on their shoes and if you decide not to go to the top you still get a good walk with nice views! If you decide to take the Larkspur Trail to the South it will take you to Larkspur Park, (see pics), about a mile walk from the house. A short walk from Larkspur Park is the new Bend Rock Gym if you want to learn to rock climb or sharpen your skills, they have a state of the art facility and have classes, clinics, summer camps on all types of climbing and more and have the highest indoor climbing in the state at 48 feet high, visit their website. Then when you are ready you can head over to Smith Rock for world class climbing experience or a beautiful hike or just have a picnic and watch the pros climb. Also, from the house, walk, bike, or drive to the beautiful 22 acre Juniper Park where Juniper Swim & Fitness Center is located. Features Indoor/Outdoor Olympic 50 meter Pool, 25 meter Indoor Pool, 3,000 square foot fitness center, Machines, Weight Room, Cycling Studio, Group Exercise Rooms, Yoga, Pilates, Personal Trainers, Hot Tub, Sauna, Steam Room, and more. Take a tour on the website: Search “Juniper Swim & Fitness Bend”. Also in the Park are Tennis Courts, Fitness Trails, Professional Horseshoe Pits, Picnic areas, Swings, and more. There are many other beautiful Parks close by such as Riverbend Park, Bend Pine Nursery , Ponderosa Park, Larkspur Park (at the South end of the Larkspur Trail), Pioneer Park, Hollingshead Park, McKay Park, to name a few, and you must take a walk up the Deschutes River Trail starting at the edge of Riverbend Park, See all photos above. The Space**Note: the guest house does not have plumbing. It's a short walk into our home for the facilities. We are very accustomed to guests coming and going and haven't had any issues.** Thanks for looking at our listing. We look forward to hosting you. We call our home Camp Landich- friends say they feel they are at sleep-away camp when staying here. Built in 1924 our home has been updated yet retains many original details. Our private guest house is for rent with access to our main home as well. The guest house sits separately from the main house- it has been a home office and art studio. Located in Bend's historic district blocks from downtown and the Old Mill District feel free to meander through the double lot with mature trees (fruit, deciduous and one monster of a Ponderosa), established landscaping and a finished patio with fire pit and raised beds. A pump track is under construction and a zip line under consideration. We also have a house cat, Betty. Camp Landich is walking distance to historic downtown, Drake Park, Galveston District, the Deschutes River, the Old Mill Shopping District; a short bike ride to Phil's Trailhead and thirty minutes to Mt. Bachelor. Easy access to the Cascade Lakes highway, too. We live here so on occasion we are working in the yard or possibly inside cooking, studying, and playing with our toddler. We try to make the impact on guests as minimal as possible but sometimes projects needs to be completed when guests are here. Also, we love to host and we have a child. We will do our best to keep toys tidy and out of your way. We kindly ask no shoes on inside and no pets. **Please note there are no bathroom facilities in the guest house. We are very accustomed to guests coming and going in our home and are very comfortable sharing our home with guests. Guest AccessSet off on your Central Oregon adventure from our downtown location. You'll have access to our fully equipped (no microwave) kitchen, barbecue with a rotisserie, living room and dining room overlooking our yard, and a large porch for watching the world go by. Guest house amenities: updated construction, radiant floor heating, lofted ceiling with exposed beams, down comforter, small refrigerator, french press, local coffee (Strictly Organic), filtered water, and privacy. Secure wifi. Street parking. Plenty of secure gear storage. There is one shared full bathroom in the main house and no plumbing in the guest house. It's a short walk between buildings, just like at camp. While we would love to add a bathroom it's cost prohibitive at this time. Townie bikes with locks and helmets are available for use with notice. We can provide snowshoes and many other last minute items for your trip. Please ask. The second floor is reserved for our family privacy. Interaction with GuestsSince we are opening our home to you please have a few details in your bio or send a quick note about your stay so we can get to know you. Also, we do like to make even the briefest of introductions so we are all comfortable. We love Bend and sharing tips with guests! We're happy to give suggestions or leave you to wander and discover on your own. I'm currently a full time student and mother to Harrison (born January 2014). The NeighborhoodOur house is a short walk to the Old Mill, downtown, at count about 8 breweries, or the Galveston district. Old Bend is a quiet residential neighborhood with lots of families and professionals. We love that we are able to share it you. Please be respectful when you're our guest. Feel free to ask for recommendations! We're happy to help you design your best Bend trip. There are plenty of guidebooks, maps, and brochures in the guest house to help plan your get away. Easy access to skiing and biking/hiking trails. The interchange for Hwy 97 is about a mile away- close enough but not a nuisance as we're in a neighborhood. We have secure gear storage if needed. There is always something happening in Bend to scratch your itch. We have plenty of growlers in the guest house for your use while you're in town. Getting AroundPark your car and walk or bike to just about everything. Other Things to NoteLBGTQ friendly. Pack a swimsuit!! The SpaceWe love the open space of the living room and large windows that look out into the surrounding trees. We are excited to share our passion for coffee with visitors and happy to recommend the local roasters. Bend is known well for it's outdoor adventures, and we enjoy microbreweries, kombucha tasting and checking out the cidereries that are popping up. Fermenting and roasting seem to be the things to do and we love it! Guests will have access to a private room, private driveway and back yard, as well as, the common green area in the neighborhood and walking/biking trail. If you have forgotten any toiletries during your travels, you can check in the main bathroom as we have left some basics. We keep the garage and a small study off limits for ease of organization, but we can make two commuter bikes available if you would like. If we aren't home we will be available by phone or email if you have any questions. We will provide the name, phone number and email of neighbors who are available to help, or if you need any assistance and we are not in town. We are tucked back in a quiet, respectful area with friendly neighbors surrounded by trees outside of town by a 10 minute drive. We back up onto a canal which is gorgeous for walking/bike riding and a bird watching. This coffee lover's paradise is close to China Hat for biking; 15 minute bike ride from downtown; 15 minute drive from Phils Trailhead; 35 minute drive from Mt. Bachelor. We are near a train yard, so there are trains passing on a daily basis, but the guest room is the most quiet in the house. Children are welcome, but the house is not officially child proof. Guest AccessYou will have your own bedroom and a bathroom with bathtub/shower/laundry. Parking in the driveway (we may have to shuffle cars a little). Please feel free to use the living room, kitchen, dining room and relax on the back porch. Interaction with GuestsWe are looking forward to hosting you, if you have a concern, or something isn't quite right-- ask us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs as quickly as possible. We enjoy meeting people from around the world and we are happy to recommend the best biking trails, yoga classes or places to eat out. We have a small Australian Shepherd who is incredibly friendly and may want to snuggle in the living room if you want some canine therapy. We love being outdoors, so will be making the most of every sunny day and usually tuck in by 10p. We have an espresso machine, french press, Italian percolator and bean grinder. Enjoy being your own barista (after you read the manual), or ask us to brew you a cup! We do not offer drip coffee. The NeighborhoodThe Expressway Gas Station on the corner has a great selection of beers, brew and kombucha on tap. We provide some growlers so you can fill up cheaply! There is a beautiful walking/biking canal behind the house and a bike/running trail to Pilot Butte. There is a children's park around the corner. Getting AroundCar or bike is great. We can recommend some trails to get into town, so you can avoid some roads, if you like. We use the eco-taxi car service and if can recommend Pine Mountain Sports if you want to rent a bike. Other Things to Note-We use non-scented organic cleaning products around the house, and we wash and dry the towels, sheets and bedding before/after each guest. - We do not have a drip coffee maker or television. - We have a couple of fans, but no AC

The SpaceMy home is clean and quiet. The bedroom has a queen bed. There is a second bedroom which can be reserved with the main bedroom for $25. 2nd bdrm has a trundle bed. The bathroom is in the hall just outside the bedroom door, and is for the exclusive use of the guest. Guest AccessGuests have access to all portions of the home except the master bedroom. Since I live here, it is fully stocked with all spices, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and whatever else you could desire in a kitchen. There is a gas grill on the patio, lawn furniture to enjoy the sun in the summer, a water feature to soothe your soul, a fire pit, and a large grass area. I have 2 bikes that you are welcome to use. Interaction with GuestsI am happy to socialize with guests but prefer to stay out of the guests way unless requested for information. I don't want to make the guests feel like I'm in their space however I'm always good for conversation and to give recommendations for activities in the area. I expect guests to use the home as they would a vacation rental and feel comfortable using the kitchen and all other areas at their leisure. The NeighborhoodI live in a neighborhood that is close to a lot of what Bend has to offer. You can walk to the river, access to Mt. Bachelor is a minute away, the Shops at the Old Mill are within walking distance. I'm on a half acre, close to town, yet within 5 minutes of downtown. There are 3 public parks within a 2-5 minute walk from my home. The Deschutes River is less than 5 minutes away. You will hear music from Les Schwab Ampitheater when concerts are in town. Getting AroundThere is bus service 2 blocks from my home on Brookswood. This is about a 5 minute walk. Access to the parkway (Hwy 97) is a 2 minute drive. I have the convenience of easy access but without the noise and bustle of living on a busy street. Other Things to NoteI live in the home but I am gone much of the day and sometimes on weekends. We look forward to hosting you! Eric and Nicki ------ Featured Review: Just finished my first trip to Bend Oregon with my new fiance. This is also my first experience with Airbnb, and our stay was wonderful! When we first drove up to the property, we met the house manager (Cindy), and she made us feel right home. The entire property had ALL the comforts of home. The kitchen had all the extras, including spices and condiments, coffee and even bubbly for my morning mamosas! The Beds were very comfortable and the jacuzzi worked flawlessly. I like my water temp hot and this one can be set up to 104 degrees. After a day of fly fishing on the Mc Kenzie river we had the most amazing fish fry imaginable... We entertained friends on the patio while I poached some of our fresh rainbow trout in champagne, fresh squeezed orange juice and mint. I did this on the deluxe five burner BBQ while at the same time frying the rest of the trout in olive oil, light seasonings and a dash of rosemary. The house even has a freezer in the garage with ice and a cooler that we used to bring the fish home. Eric and NIcki thought of Everything!!! My own home isn't as well appointed as this place! :-D Now a quick word about location, location, location. I was a little concerned about being a mile or so away from downtown, when I booked this place... If you are, don't be. The west side rocks! For several reasons in a row. First is the neighborhood. It's quiet, peaceful and just a few blocks uphill from some of the best dining, shopping and pubs in ALL of Bend. No kidding. The Ten Barrel Pub was singular. The "little" country market at the bottom of the hill is Spectacular!!! The name escapes me... but you can't miss it. The place screams "Come shop here !!!" I wish we had one of these is west LA. We don't. This place blows bristol farms and the pavilion out of the water! Unbelievable wine (you have to try the local pinot gris/noir) and beer selection, fresh baked bread and deli. And if you're into organic.... your home! Tired from a day of shopping, or floating down the river and want to just throw something into the oven, try the lasagna take out from the local organic store, "Devoure". As for, getting around town... We chose to rent electric bicycles. They were a bit pricey, but well, well worth it. The hill is a bit steep and the small electric motor handled the task with flying colors. The trip to downtown from this house is about 4 minutes by car. If you do it on a bike... you won't even think to check... The ride (URL HIDDEN) beautiful. So take a moment... Then take a chance, and take it from me.... Enjoy. -Abe Guest AccessOur beautiful house! Interaction with GuestsJust message us if you need anything or have any questions. The NeighborhoodWe love and respect our neighbors. So please no parties! Enjoying yourselves is one thing but inviting 30 of your close friends is not allowed. By the way , the city of Bend has a sound ordinance of 10 p.m. It is very strict. Failure to respect this rule can result in losing your deposit. Our neighbors will contact us. Getting AroundThere are taxis and a limited city bus. Biking is an excellent way to get around in the summer time. Other Things to NotePlease park cars in the driveway or garage.
