The SpaceThe homestead feels totally secluded yet is just 10 minutes from town, with private access to State Forest. It has spacious open plan dining/living/play area, a covered balcony with gas BBQ & outdoor dining, multiple fireplaces and TV/DVD/Foxtel.
A winding gravel dirt road leads around the side of Watagan foothills to the homestead - which is AT THE VERY END of the driveway. With covered parking for 3 vehicles and driveway parking for 3 more.
Entering through the main doors, you walk into a lounge area with open fire place, bar area, air conditioning, generous lounge seating and home entertainment with a 50 inch LED TV.
An open plan living and dining area includes a fully functional kitchen with SMEG cooking appliance, dishwasher, a table that seats 8 comfortably, plus a bench with stools for another 6.
A wood burning fireplace sits between the kitchen and lounge/bar areas.
The homestead offers four bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen bed, pot belly fireplace, walk in robe and ensuite bathroom with spa bath.
Two rooms for couples are equipped with queen size beds, and a large bunk room has two bunks plus two singles for sleeping up to 6 children ONLY. A large bathroom with shower and bath is easily accessible, along with a laundry with washer.
Outside, a hardwood timber verandah leads to a covered BBQ area with views out over paddocks with horses and a dam. The garden includes a raised cubby house which the children will love and grassy areas for outdoor games. A fire pit is available for roasting marshmallows.
Please note: your dog is welcome - BUT the property is rural, therefore, unfenced and is surrounded by other farms where some dogs roam freely.
For those who want to bring their horse, there is a secure paddock right at the house which has a small shelter. Guest AccessGuests have exclusive use of the homestead, as well as paddocks on higher ground which include a fire trail leading into the state forests.
There is one paddock below the homestead with a shelter which can be used by guests with horses, but all other paddocks below the homestead are private and contain livestock owned by other people.
Please leave their horses alone and do not pet or feed them.

The day before check in the code for the key safe will be sent to you for access.

We have a selection of complimentary kitchen essentials, (salt pepper tea sugar etc) for your use. The NeighborhoodJilliby Homestead is set on a hillside on just over 40 acres, with many activities to enjoy: Have a picnic under the magnificent old tree, bush walking, platypus spotting, sit on the balcony and enjoy the bird life, watch the brilliant stars at night. The back gate opens into the Jilliby State Conservation Area and Watagans National Park - on your doorstep are over 80,000 hectares of walking, riding and 4x4 tracks to enjoy. We have resident wombats... Let us know if you spot them!
Please watch your children carefully, there are dams, creeks & billabongs most of which are unfenced slippery & dangerous.
Pet friendly, well behaved dogs welcome; however, please note the property is unfenced and there are other dogs from surrounding areas who roam freely.

The Entrance and Toowoon Bay and 45 minutes to Terrigal and Avoca Beaches. All of these beaches are patrolled by Surf Life Savings Clubs. some are surf beaches and the other bays, safe for small children. There are 4 nearby golf courses. Golf courses at Shelley Beach and Magenta Shores have views over the Pacific Ocean. Magenta Shores offers an absolutely unique 18-hole golf course set amongst some of the most inspiring and un-spoilt surroundings on a pristine peninsular between Tuggerah Lake and the Pacific Ocean.
We are also located a 12 minute drive from Westfield Tuggerah Shopping Centre. A huge multi level retail shopping centre and cinemas including a plethora of dining out options.

Please bring warm clothes! It's pretty cold - being winter - and the farm house takes a little while to warm up once you get the fires going. We leave the fires set ready for you to simply light but you may want to bring extra fire lighters etc.
Being rural, there are several dogs around the area from neighbouring farms, they are friendly - let us know if you have any issues with them and we will do what we can to help. The house does not have traditional suburban type dog proof fence.
Each queen bed has a firmer and a softer pillow, we hope you enjoy these personal touches.
There is a French Press if you'd like to bring some ground coffee - the closest cafe is about ten mins away.
RUBBISH & RECYCLING
At the end of your stay, please dispose of rubbish & recycling in the bins at the entrance to the property. There are plenty of foxes and dogs around who will spread your rubbish far and wide if you leave it lying around, so please be considerate of this.
