    The SpaceOur basement is completely finished with two bedrooms, private den and one shared bathroom. One bedroom sleeps 2 (queen bed) and second room sleeps 2-3 (bunk beds & air mattress...separate listing). Since the private guest bathroom houses our laundry, we will endeavor to use it while you are out and about. Guest AccessGreat sunsets...about 35-40 minutes to Notre Dame and great Lake Michigan beaches! Farm market with donuts and seasonal fruit right around the corner. A front door key is available for your use if your stay is longer than one night. Interaction with GuestsWe enjoy meeting new people and hope to be here while you are visiting, but our personal rooms are on the main floor. You are welcome to mingle as much as you like, but we will respect your privacy when you are downstairs. You may call or text us on our cell phones when we are away from home, and we will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The NeighborhoodWe live on a Michigan highway, but our setting is peaceful. Surrounded by pines and apple orchards, you can enjoy breakfast at the picnic table or enjoy an evening fire in the backyard. Getting AroundThis is a pretty rural setting. You'll need your own transportation...but in the summer and fall you can walk to the local farm market where donuts, coffee, desserts and seasonal fruit are available. If you are into bicycling, miles and miles of roads with beautiful scenery surround us. Free parking is available in our driveway. Other Things to NoteBase price is for up to two guests; $20/night for each additional guest over two. If you require the second bedroom (bunk room), it may be booked separately if it is available.

    We are in a quiet residential neighborhood, so family groups or quieter groups of couples are welcome, with quiet hours at 11 during the week, and 12 on the weekend. With the beautiful and private walk-down frontage on 600-acre Lake Chapin, You will love your time here with a large extended family or several couples. Our home is not fancy, but it is built for enjoyment, while offering many areas for different activities. The family room has a flat-screen smart TV. The living room shares a flat-screen TV with the dining area, which has an oval table with six chairs. The kitchen is completely outfitted with pans, dishes, tools and spices. There are four bedrooms with 3 queen, 2 double, 2 single and a bunk. There is a large patio area with ample seating on wicker and other chairs, a bench, a swing, and a hammock. You can go out in the canoe, kayaks, paddleboards or rowboat, of fish from the dock. We have now added a hot tub, which is available for our guests. Well-behaved pets are welcome, with prior notice and a $50 cleaning fee. We are in a quiet neighborhood on Lake Chapin, with a gentle slope to the water. Most rooms have a great view of the water. There is swimming, boating and fishing on the lake, and we are close to Chicago, South Bend, IN, and Bentan Harbor and St. Joseph, MI. It is only 30 minutes to Lake Michigan beaches. There are numerous good wineries and micro-breweries in the area. There is ample parking on-site, and trains from Niles, South Bend, and Michigan City, IN, as well as a shuttle bus from both Chicago airports to South Bend airport, all 30-45 minutes 30 minutes away.

    The SpaceWe have a wonderful view of Lake Chapin from the house and yard, and a gentle slope in the yard down to the lake. We have a dock to sit, swim from, or boat from. There is ample space indoors, and a patio, as well as a pea-gravel space with extra seating and a fire-pit to use in the evening. There are many excellent wineries and several great breweries in the vicinity, as well as numerous good restaurants and other attractions. We will not be present. I will be available for questions or emergencies, and we have a son a few minutes away. The neighborhood is quiet. We are on a street that dead-ends in a cemetery. The lake is also generally quiet, though there are boats, skiers, and sometimes seadoos on the water. There is no regular transit, though there is a bus service that you can call. There is outside parking (on paved areas only, please) for 6 cars, and one garage stall will be available. The house is very comfortable, with several inside and outside areas for use. There is a combo gas and charcoal grill and 2 TV's and cable to both. Guest AccessAll 4 bedrooms & 3 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, family room, sunroom, garage, great outdoor space & furniture, dock, canoe, kayaks, rowboat. Interaction with GuestsWe will not be present when guests are renting. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is quiet. The lake is the big feature, but we are on a dead-end road - leading to a cemetery, which is a great place to walk a dog. You can walk to town - with a full-service grocery and hardware store (hardware closed on Saturday), as well as several restaurants and bars. Getting AroundThere is no real public transportation in town. It is an easy drive to quite a St. Joseph and Benton Harbor, MI, and South Bend, IN, with numerous attractions, as well as numerous wineries and micro-breweries within half an hour. Other Things to NoteCheck-in is 3:00 pm, and check-out is 11:00 am. If you need some adjustment, please check with me ahead of time. Pets may be allowed, if pre-approved, with a fee of $100. We have beds for 14, for the listed rates. There is a double futon in the family room, for an extra fee of $50 per night per person over 14.

    We live in a rural community which is quiet and peaceful. The duplex includes unlimited Wifi 12a - 5a each night, use of the kitchen and spacious yards for relaxing; a public track for all to use. We're located about 13 miles from two beaches/six from a fishing lake. You have a choice of two private rooms: a room with a full sized bed (no futon yet. Router is in there so we will ask you to click off our WIFI at 5a) or a room with bunk beds-up to three may sleep in that room.

    My place is close to Andrews University and Highway 31. You’ll love my place because of the quiet apartment complex, great views out the private bedroom, 4 minutes from Andrews University, paid laundry on site. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
