4 bedroom home on acreage, nice and quiet, 10 mins from theme parks on the gold coast ., lovely gardens with bbq and entertaining area. we have 2 dogs and a cat who are extra friendly. short walk to bus or train into the city or down to the gold coast.

I live in Loganholme, in a quiet cul de sac street, which is close to Griffith University at Logan Campus, also close to TAFE college at Logan - both easily accessible by bus. 5 minute walk to local shops - bakery, chemist, bottle shop, IGA, newsagents, hot takeaway fast food. Very close to Logan hospital also. There are lots of huge parks and gardens in the local area, lots of local sporting clubs you can join also. The largest shopping centre throughout Brisbane is located at the Logan Hyperdome, 5 mins by bus. The house is located halfway between Brisbane city and Gold Coast, about 45 drive each way. I have a three bedroom house, very large fully fenced back yard, tropical feel with lots of palm trees . No pets, no swimming pool and I live on my own. The kitchen has a brand new stove/oven, brand new dishwasher, brand new fridge/freezer. Two large screen TV's and Blu Ray DVD players - no more fighting for remote control. BBQ and BBQ area outside. I have internet wireless broadband internet connection, washing machine and dryer and an air conditioning/heating system.

There is a big yard for you to enjoy the summer heat. There is off street parking available. We are located in a safe suburb with a lot of friendly neighbours. The house is ready for your arrival! All furniture will be provided. The area: The house is located 25 km south-east of central Brisbane. Within walking distance you will find some cafes and shops. If you like to go for a walk, there is Noffke Park or Oppermann Park alongside the Logan River. Also not too far from the Gold coast! Bethania has a community hall and an aquatic centre in Nofke Park on Station Road. Bethania railway station provides access to regular Citytrain services to Brisbane and Beenleigh.           Wattle-B is a 2 bedroom cottage situated between the lake and the sea. It has a lovely cottage garden with an outside seating area. It is a 2 bedroom cottage fully self contained and sleeps 4 people. Bedroom 1: Has a queen sized bed and side tables and views of the cottage garden. Bedroom 2: Has a set of bunk beds side draws plus a built in robe.           The SpaceWe have a quiet but friendly home space, surrounded by a fairly quiet neighbourhood. We don't have any children but we do have a lovely precious elderly female cat who will often keep to herself, if she chooses to like a guest in our home she might want to sit a bit closer to them, and will sometimes chat to them. We are close to the train (not able to be heard from our home) which is a comfortable 10-20 minutes walk away will also take guests south to the Gold Coast/Robina areas, as well as transport you northbound to Brisbane's lovely tranquil Southbank area which is home to lots of lovely restaurants, beautiful gardens, a man made beach, Art galleries, performing arts theatres, library, this known as the playground area to many people who live in the Brisbane area but has also been created in a smart aesthetically pleasing manner which often does not feel crowded due to its vast open spaces for all to enjoy. The train does continue from Southbank into Brisbane Central City, where you will find a closed street called "The Mall" which is home to many delightful shopping experiences, as well as a nearby casino. Guest AccessGuests have access to wifi, shared main bathroom, outdoor BBQ/patio area for relaxing. Use of the main kitchen & lounge areas. Interaction with GuestsYou may see us on a daily basis, depending on our work schedules at the time. You will not need to feed the cat, no matter how often she tries to convince you otherwise. The NeighborhoodOur home is located approximately 15-20 minutes drive from Brisbane City. And approximately 20-30 minutes drive from the Gold Coast, both directions have easy to use motorways that are well sign posted. Our home is located 5 minutes from the pacific highway for convenient vehicle travelling. At the end of our street is a lovely nature reserve lake with lots of lovely Australian native bird life to look at, we have a couple of park areas that are in comfortable flat walking distances away, which also have picnic tables. We also have a beautiful koala park that's located within a 10 minute drive from our home. There are several walking tracks at this park. We have a fully stocked supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants, fast food restaurants, golf course, all located within close walking distance. We are confident that our surrounding neighbourhood will be pleasant to our guests if they should have time to explore nearby surroundings outside their busy travel schedules. Getting AroundMost travellers to Brisbane/Gold Coast often choose to fly into the Brisbane Airport which does have the Airtrain for access to Brisbane & Gold Coast areas. Please check the Airtrain ((website hidden) air (website hidden) dot au) for prices and timetables. Our train stop is called Loganlea. The train does not run 24 hours, so please check the time table for your flight arrival/departure suitability. Alternatively you may need to do an online search to compare airport transfer shuttle services. Please note this train line does NOT continue onto the Coolangatta Airport, you will need to organise an airport shuttle to the Coolangatta Airport.           The SpaceThis is a modern mansion with a lovely garden, set way up high with a splendid verandah on two sides, fantastic for memorable group meals in the private gazebo, unless those occasional wild westerlies are blowing. Or you can eat privately at the indoor dining table. The bedrooms are spacious, beautiful and private - all with lovely garden views. The place is surrounded by gum trees! The Logan Motorway is just visible in the distance through the trees, so there is some minimal traffic noise which might be noticeable on the verandah by those coming from the bush/country. I prefer to think of the place as an oasis of natural beauty, pulsing with birdsong, hidden in the middle of a vibrant city. Guest AccessYou have your own private front door entry. There are three luxury guest bedrooms upstairs with your own lounge and bathroom, and a large rumpus room downstairs, where you can share a double bed, a single bed, a laundry and toilet. Groups are welcome to bunk down here with swags, pillows, cushions, doonas and sleeping bags in this marvellous den. Guests can access the whole huge house except my ensuite bedroom. The beautiful verandah is where you may want to spend most of your time. There is a half acre of native shrubs and fruit trees on different levels of a sloping block, three hens in their "Cluckingham Palace" and three small vegetable gardens to visit. Interaction with GuestsI am retired and live in the main bedroom upstairs. I love to prepare a large healthy breakfast on the verandah for you, to chat, or cook any other meals, or show you where to get your own iced water or late night tea or coffee. I prefer that you don't bring food or drink as space in the fridge is limited. The NeighborhoodThis house is called "Tanah Merah's best kept secret" - in a new estate of half-acre blocks, each with an original architect-designed house. The Loganholme Hyperdome, with hundreds of modern shops, two food courts, including the new Market Room, community garden, library, restaurants, cinemas, gym, pool, banks, doctors, post office, take aways and service station, are all 5 mins away by car. We are 10 mins away from the Daisy Hill Koala Centre where you can enjoy koalas up close, lots of wallabies, picnics, mountain biking, jogging or bush walks. 3 minutes away is a horse trail-riding school. There is easy access from this house to the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich and Toowoomba, as we are near the conjunction of two main freeways. There is some traffic congestion on the M1 motorway at peak times. Luckily the motorways are on the far side of the hill from us. Getting AroundThe Loganholme Hyperdome bus/transit station has a 20 min express bus to the city and a 30-60 mins bus to the Gold Coast. Beenleigh Train Station is 15 mins away by car. Griffith University (Logan Campus), Logan Hospital and Metro Central TAFE (Loganlea Campus) are all an easy 7-10 mins away by car. The University of Queensland - St Lucia, Griffith University and the Queensland University of Technology in the city centre, are 20-30 mins away by car or bus. There is easy access to many hundreds of smaller local industries and businesses. The famous winery/restaurant, Sirromet, is 22 minutes pleasant country drive away. Ivory Rock at Peak's Crossing is 55 mins away. Wellwood Health Centre is 7 mins away. Logan North Aquatic Centre is 9 mins away with 4 pools including a heated one (30 - 33 degrees), a great gym and over 30 group training fitness classes per week. The Gold Coast is roughly one hour south. It has some of the best beaches in Australia and four famous theme parks (Dreamworld, Wet & Wild, Seaworld, Movie World). The Gold Coast hinterland is especially beautiful. The Sunshine/North Coast and its famous hinterland, is one to two hours north of Brisbane. Other Things to NoteYou are welcome to use the clothes washer. [I'll show you how - it's dead easy.] There are plenty of internal and external clothes lines - NOTE: no clothes dryer. My guests do love walking along beautiful Murrays Road [see photo] and spotting the birds and wallabies. Note: There is no public transport closer than a 20-30 mins walk from the house. You need a car to be here. Parking here is free and plentiful. There is a double garage, so beside my car, there is one undercover space. Two or three more cars can be parked in front of the garage, or in the second entrance to the property, or on the other side of the street. The property is surrounded by tall red gum/eucalyptus trees, so you might see wallabies, a possum or rarely, a koala. 18 sightings this year so far! though i've never seen one. You will hear so many birds greet the dawn every morning and chatter happily about their day at sunset. Sometimes the kookaburras sing for us at 4am. Mobile phone reception is excellent and there is unlimited Wifi access. We adore our new grandfather clock, with Westminster/Big Ben chimes every quarter hour ceasing during the night from 10pm to 7am. We can accept sports teams who bring swags and sleeping bags to sleep on the floor of the rumpus room, while their parents or teachers sleep in the beautiful rooms upstairs, as long as you can assure me that they are well-behaved, clean, tidy and thoughtful. Good healthy meals are always available and no trouble at all. (A nominal fee to cover costs.)

Interaction with GuestsMy partner and I are both full time veterinarians with very variable shifts. Depending on when their booking is, guest might find themselves interacting with our fur-babies (Emma and Dobby) more than us! However guest can easily reach us by our mobiles if they have any questions (: The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is very family and pet orientated, with multiple parks in the area. It is a quiet neighborhood where residents are very considerate of each other (: Just around the corner from our place is an island of shop houses where guest can get a quick bite (italian, indian & chinese). As for grocery shopping, there is an IGA about 3 minute drive away, and the Hyperdome (that has basically everything) about 6 mins drive way. Getting AroundOur suburb is located between 2 major motorways (M1 & M2), making it very easy to get to Brisbane city, Gold Coast or inner south east Queensland. For those without private transport, the nearest bus stop is about 5-10min walk from our house. The nearest bus interchange is just across the highway, approx 10-15min bus ride away.
