The SpaceOur home is a newly built modern home that is relaxed and fun. We offer a pool and a TV room with TV, movies and a Wii. We are close to the wineries and the Aviation Centre. We also have access to the Marlborough Sounds for a spot of fishing and a wine at a lodge which is well worth seeing. We have two rooms avaliable with a shared bathroom. The green Mexi room has a queen sized bed and the black white bedroom has a king sized bed. Guest AccessYou can either come through our main door or use the side entrance to your guest wing.There is a TV room/library and our main lounge with our open fire, feel free to spend time with us. We want you to feel relaxed and enjoy the space. Interaction with GuestsWe repect your privacy but equally feel as comfortable spending time with you. We are hear to assist you with your travel plans or to just have a chat. We have added a guest lounge where you can enjoy your breakfast and help yourself to tea and coffee at your leisure. There is also a deck of the lounge where you can sit and enjoy a wine in the sun. The NeighborhoodWe live in a quiet semi rural area but are very close to the centre of Blenheim, only 5 minutes drive. There is the aviation centre around the corner, wineries all around us and we have the Speights Ale House at the end of our road, which has awesome food and a great atmosphere for dinner and drinks.We also have a boat that Dave (my husband) could show you the Marlborough Sounds and go fishing and have lunch at a lodge for an extra charge, weather permitting. But is a great day. We also have bikes that you can borrow would you want to explore the region that way. Getting AroundThere is no public transport in our area so it is best to have a car, but we can easily pick you up from the airport if you wish and we have bikes that you can borrow and explore the region that way. There are taxi services available in the Marlborough region. Other Things to NoteWe are more than happy to help you with your holiday activities and we do provide local information in your room for you to browse over. We provide a delicious fresh breakfast that is very filling to start your day and will do this at a time that suits you. Choose us and you wont be disappointed I'm sure . The SpaceBotanica Marlborough is located in the heart of Blenheim within 400 metres of cafes, shops and restaurants. Situated in a lovely quiet street with a large garden the tranquil setting provides guests with the ultimate setting to enjoy Marlborough. Relax on the veranda and enjoy the surroundings with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. The fully restored 1930's villa has two large and comfortable rooms. The Gardener's Rest is a tastefully decorated self-contained room with a private entry and ensuite overlooking the garden. Wine tours of the largest wine growing region in New Zealand Your hosts Clare and Martin can help design and plan your activities so you can make the most out of your stay. Getting AroundWe provide courtesy transfers from the airport and the bus/train station. There are plenty of local wine tours, eco tours, bike tours and Marlborough Sounds tours available and they pick you up. Other Things to NoteWe can also offer the whole house even for just one couple. We are often away at our holiday house so the rooms will be blocked out so you can't instant book. The SpaceOur home is a newly built modern home that is relaxed and fun. We offer a heated pool and a TV room with TV, movies and a Wii, should you like to take advantage of that. We have a large slice of land with lots of Garden Art handcrafted by Dave. Our pool is heated which is great for the summer and we have an indoor fire to sit in front of with a wine in the winter. Our guest wing has all the luxuries of a hotel and is private and quiet. The bathroom is shared with 1 other guest room. The bed is a King sized and the rooms are warm, clean and a good size. Guest AccessThe black and white room is at the end of the hallway, which makes it very quiet and sunny. It has a brand new king sized bed, table chairs and lots of room to relax. A truly lovely warm room. You can access it through the main door or use the guest wing door. Interaction with GuestsWe love to chat with our guests when we are home but appreciate that you may want your own space as well. We are here to help you with your tourism questions about our region and will guide you where we can. The NeighborhoodOur area is great because it is semi rural and quiet but very close to the centre of blenheim, and also very close to the Aviation Centre, all the unique wineries in the region and we have the Speights Ale House Pub at the end of the road, which has awesome food, great for dinner and a drink. We have bikes that you can borrow to explore the region if you would like to do that as well. Dave has a boat and may be able to take you out for some fishing and lunch at a local resort in the Marlborough Sounds if you wish. There are boating tours you can book on also. Getting AroundThere isnt public transport in the area so it is best that you have a vehicle, but we can pick you up from the airport if needed. We have bikes for you to borrow should you want to explore the wineries and region that way. Other Things to NoteWe are more than happy to help you with your holiday activities whilst you are with us, we have provided local information in your room for you to browse over and we provide a very filling fresh breakfast for you in our new guest lounge, at whatever time suits you. The SpaceThis property is designed to comfortably fit 6 people with an ensuite off the main bedroom. 2 x Queen size beds in 2 x rooms and 2 x single beds in the other bedroom. Although the 2 x singles could convert into a Super King bed unfortunately this is not an option at present. All linen incl towels are supplied and beds made up for arrival of guests. All the major events in the area have town collection points for buses normally. The garage in the house will house 2 vehicles or one can be parked in the driveway in front of the front door. Guest AccessThe property is situated at the end of the driveway with a older character home in the front. There is a lock box for the front door key (if we cannot meet up) and the remote for the garage door is situated on the garage wall with the access through the house. There is an outdoor table & chairs currently in the courtyard area. Interaction with GuestsWe will introduce the guests to the property and hopefully answer any queries they may have. We will then leave them to enjoy their privacy and relax or explore the township if desired. We are currently putting together menus from most of the popular restaurants. We have a key pad now installed for those late night arrivals or for those who expect to be delayed so that no pressure is placed on arrival times. The NeighborhoodWe are so close to the town centre and also within walking distance to Seymour Square and the Taylor River. Any of the local winery tours will collect clients from the door of the home. There are brochures on most of these available from the desk by the entranceway. The Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre is a great place to visit for those Aviation enthusiasts' who would like to see Peter Jacksons collection of aircraft and the special WW1 Knights of the Sky display. This is only 5km away from here! Getting AroundWithin easy walking distance of town. There are normally taxies and buses to most large functions out of town. (i.e. Wine & Food Festival as well as Wings over Omaka being held at Easter, etc.) There are taxis and shuttles that run from the airport to town and vice versa. Other Things to NoteWe welcome out of town clients coming to Marlborough for conferences. Blenheim's New Conference Centre has just been completed and is within easy walking distance. While we do not encourage young children as there is no completely fenced area there is the option of the use of a portable cot and highchair. We do unfortunately charge the same for young children as we do for adults as they normally have the use of the same facilities.

The SpaceThe beautiful calm atmosphere of this room is warm and welcoming with a very comfortable QUEEN bed. Bathroom next door has bath, vanity, toilet and separate shower. If the Blue Room is booked at the same time the bathroom will be shared. Guest AccessI can supply a NZ continental style breakfast which includes cereal, fruit (where possible from our own garden) yogurt, toast and jam and tea and coffee for an extra cost of $10.00 each. You are welcome to make your own breakfast in our kitchen. The NeighborhoodThe location of our home is such a bonus as you can walk into town to the cafes and restaurants in only a couple of minutes. The SpaceOur guests tell us that two nights is almost not enough time to experience all Marlborough has to offer. From the world-renowned wineries, to the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre (virtually next door), cycling, hiking, kayaking, Queen Charlotte walking track, fly fishing at Lake Rotoiti, Marlborough Golf Course along the road - not to mention actually slowing down and breathing in the fresh country air; just relaxing in the cottage, reading by the pool, playing petanque, swimming - generally making yourselves "at home". We are 7 minutes from Blenheim airport - turn right out of the airport and turn right into Bells Rd, then left into New Renwick Rd. We are the first long drive on the right. Other Things to NoteBeing so close to the Aviation Heritage Centre, it is almost walking distance. See the amazing and inspiring airplanes as flown in WW1 and Peter Jackson's collection of planes. Even if you think you are not interested in such an exhibition, this will really take you back to how life was in WW1 - and to appreciate life today.

    The White Wabbit is a retro (1950s) Teardrop caravan located in our "Secret Garden" just 200 metres from the Blenheim town centre. Best described as "a double-bed on wheels", The White Wabbit sleeps two adults. We are an easy walk from all the main Blenheim restaurants and bars. There is a small kitchenette accessible from the outside by raising the rear hatch - ideal for a quick cup of tea or coffee. Bathroom and toilet facilities are in the main house and easily accessed. The White Wabbit is great for a quirky and romantic overnight getaway, or make a longer stay and explore the many delights of New Zealand's largest wine region. Important Note: when we say "Double Bed on Wheels" we really mean it! The White Wabbit is quite small and has no heating or air conditioning. Apart from the bed all facilities are outside the caravan. Special Extras: We also offer "Tea In A Secret Garden" - a classic NZ High Tea for Two in our Garden. We provide sandwiches, small savouries, scones and homemade jam with whipped cream, chocolate eclairs and a "cake-of-the-day", along with unlimited pots of tea and personal service from our Kiwi Butler. There is a selection of teas, both imported from Paris and our own private blends. All food is "homemade" and the cost is $35 per head. It also comes with a Tea Talk - a brief history and social commentary about Tea.       We are building The Shabby Shack. This is an exercise in sustainable and eco-friendly living. Abby's Shabby Shack will be a "Tiny-House" in Monro Street and available for vacation rental from 1 September, 2015. **Update** without even advertising we are now "booked" for most of September! We have uploaded photos with the exterior cladding almost complete; the interior has yet to be lined and "fitted out". Incorporating all the best features from the Tiny House Movement and George Clarke's Amazing Spaces, Abby's Shabby Shack is hand-built from mainly recycled materials. Starting with the converted Glider Trailer as a base, and less than 10 sq mtrs in floor area, the design evolved as we progressed. Some of the more exciting and interesting features are: - double bed sleeping platform with a roof that opens to the trees and sky - recycled corrugated-iron roof and rear wall cladding - recycled headlight and stained glass windows, all except one of which open - window-seat/lounger beneath the large, colonial bar garden window - large french doors opening on to our garden - self-contained bathroom including shower and toilet. Note: although Abby's Shabby Shack only sleeps two adults, we can accommodate families by including The White Wabbit tiny caravan (if available) at an additional charge. Special Extras: We also offer "Tea In A Secret Garden" - a classic NZ High Tea for Two in our Garden. We provide sandwiches, small savouries, scones and homemade jam with whipped cream, chocolate eclairs and a "cake-of-the-day", along with unlimited pots of tea and personal service from our Kiwi Butler. It also comes with a Tea Talk - a brief history and social commentary about Tea. The White Wabbit is great for a quirky and romantic overnight getaway, or make a longer stay and explore the many delights of New Zealand's largest wine region. Important Note: when we say "Double Bed on Wheels" we really mean it! The White Wabbit is quite small and has no heating or air conditioning. Apart from the bed all facilities are outside the caravan.
