The SpaceWe have a one bedroom apartment (sleeps 4) available on the lower level of our home for rent on a nightly basis in the charming Ellis Hollow area. 7 minutes (4.5 miles) by car to Cornell, grocery and restaurants (no traffic, just a quick ride down a country road). 9 min. to downtown; 12-15 to Ithaca College.
Private entrance, one bedroom w/ queen bed, plus double futon in living room, kitchenette, private full bath. Always cool in the summer, cozy in the winter.
Our home sits on four acres in a country-like area that is fantastic for walking (a field of horses is just a stroll down the road), running, biking and hiking; Finger Lakes Land Trust land for hiking about a mile away. Please enjoy our beautiful backyard and gardens during your stay. Fantastic cross country skiing in a state forest (Hammond Hill) is 7 minutes away!

-- Off street parking. City bus runs close-by twice in the morning, twice in the early evening to and from downtown and Cornell.

Cost: $120 plus $30 cleaning fee per visit. Includes 3% hotel tax and 8% NYS sales tax.
Special weekends: $160 Cornell Parents Weekend Oct. 31-Nov. 2; $185 per night for Cornell Commencement 2015), 2 night minimum required.

We also are glad to lend guests things that they might not find in the apartment, such as a fax machine, food processor, more kitchen items. Interaction with GuestsWe like to meet everyone who stays here, and we are available to guests should they have any questions. The NeighborhoodWe live on a rural road that is fabulous for walking, biking and running. We have a nature preserve 1.5 miles down the road which has marked trails. We are also 7 minutes from Hammond Hill State Forest, which is fabulous for hiking and cross country skiing. Getting AroundThere is a public bus that comes by twice in the morning (at 7:38 am and 8:38 am) and returns in the evening twice a day (around 5:30 and 6:30. The bus goes to Cornell and downtown, where one can get connections. A car is recommended for the apartment however.
