The SpaceEnjoy our cozy post and beam home nestled at the top of Bolton Valley amidst 5,000 acres of Vermont's most spectacular Green Mountain vistas. Centrally located and only a 30-minute drive to Burlington, Montpelier, and Stowe and only 15 minutes from Waterbury a.k.a. "Waterbeery." The area offers the best of the outdoors while being a scenic drive to restaurants, music venues, breweries and so on and so forth.
We’ve created an inviting space for you which includes a private entrance, a large window letting in plenty of natural light and space to relax with a good book. The suite is a private space, and there is a half-bath on the main level of the home dedicated for your use. The full bath is on the third level, and will be shared if we are home during your visit. The suite has a trundle bed that sleeps two and a brand new self-regulating Queen-sized airbed with a foam and feather bed topper.
The suite also comes with a microwave, mini-fridge, hot/cold water dispenser, a coffee maker and small wares for use. Also, because we know how expensive it can be to travel, we offer our guests the use of our kitchen to prepare meals. We ask that you leave the space as you found it and use our consumables respectfully. Additional to the basics, there is a stereo with a docking station, TV (no cable), DVD and kids’ toys and games. As you can see from my reviews, I tend to spoil my guests. I will stock your room with local snacks, seltzer, coffee, and tea.
On occasion, we may be in a position to rent the entire home we've included pictures so you can get a feel for the space. The house comfortably sleeps six, and is fully equipped with everything you would need to cook meals, and our open floor plan offers plenty of hang out space. Guest AccessOur guests are welcome to hang out by the fire and use our kitchen to prep meals. Interaction with GuestsWe are very social and love getting to know our guests, but will also respect your privacy. We will follow your lead. The NeighborhoodFor those planning their 2017 winter getaway, Bolton Valley is a mid-sized mountain perfect for beginners and experts alike. Very family friendly! We are a short walk to the chair lift, James Moore Tavern, and the Nordic Center. Bolton Valley offers unparalleled backcountry and Nordic skiing and snowshoeing on 100 kilometers of trails.
Spring, Summer, and Fall have no shortage of fun, outdoor activities to offer! There is too much to list here, but whether you are looking to connect with nature, eat incredible food, imbibe some of the best craft beer and ciders in the country or just enjoy the vibe of Vermont and all that we, as a community, strive to be. Come. Explore. Relax and enjoy.
No matter the season or your passion Vermont offers something for everyone. I am happy to help you plan your trip so you can maximize your stay. Just give me an interest and a bit of time and I will make sure you experience VT like a local. I also keep my guidebook updated. Feel free to start there and I can fill in any blanks you may have! Other Things to NoteMy husband, Michael and I had been toying with running a BNB for years. We had been told many times - by friends and family - that we are gracious hosts who go above and beyond to make their stay a fun and relaxing experience. We are delighted that AirBnb allows us to flex our hosting muscle without making a full-time commitment. Hosting has changed the way I view the world; I no longer consider strangers as something to be cautious about, but rather as a friend I have not met yet. From making sure our guests are well-cared for and made as comfortable as if they were at home, to creating a clean and neat space for you to clear your mind and relax; our goal is to ensure you enjoy your stay in our beautiful state!
We are committed to eating cleanly through healthy, organic foods sourced locally whenever possible. We use non-toxic cleaning products and toiletries and support our community through buying local as much as we can. We purchase in bulk to cut down on waste, we compost, recycle and grow as much as we can in our harsh environment to sustain ourselves. We will do our best to reduce the carbon footprint of your travel :)! You're welcome!
