The SpaceThe room is in the downstairs area of my split-level home. The queen size bed frame is new with a memory foam topper on the mattress. There is no TV in any of the bedrooms, but the wifi is good enough to watch shows on your own laptop/tablet. In 2014, I added extra insulation between the upstairs and downstairs to help dampen any noise in the bedrooms. As stated in the "Other Things to Note" section, there is a bedroom next door that is also for rent here on Air BnB. So, you will have to share the bathroom. Your room is private with a locking door. Guest AccessYou will have access to the full bathroom downstairs, galley kitchen with a fridge, microwave, toaster oven, hot plate, coffee maker, and full size washer/dryer. If the evening is clear and there is no burn ban in effect, we have a fire pit that you can use in the backyard. If you need anything like a blow dryer, iron/ironing board, please just ask. Parking on the street is available. Interaction with GuestsI live upstairs with my boyfriend and our two pug dogs. If you need anything while you're here, please feel free to come up and ask. There is a gate at the top of the stairs to keep the pugs from going downstairs. The NeighborhoodBothell is a wonderful town that is in the middle of some great transformations. Most recently is the opening of a McMenamin's resort; a must see!! We are close to Woodinville (and the wineries), Lynnwood, Edmonds, Bellevue, Seattle and Everett. We have some awesome parks and bike/walking trails in town as well as some great restaurants and bars (just ask). The north end of Lake Washington is just a 10 minute drive from my home. Getting AroundWe are about a mile from the bus line. Bothell has a direct bus line to downtown Seattle from the Bothell Park and Ride. Uber and Lyft both come to the house to get you where you need to go. There is an Enterprise Car rental in town, too. Other Things to NoteThere is an additional room for rent on Air BnB downstairs, so you might have to share the bathroom and kitchen with someone else. I also have a permanent tenant down there, but he is usually gone due to his job.

The SpacePeaceful large back yard, convenient to Shopping and bus lines. This is an older condominium complex that had a very large living room. I partitioned off 1/3 of that space to make a downstairs (3rd bedroom) It still has an ample living and dining space but I would say the house really maxes out at 6 adults and because of limited guest parking is not suitable for entertaining. Guest AccessEntire home Interaction with GuestsMy home is very close by and either myself or one of our innkeepers is available at a moments notice. The NeighborhoodJust south of the entrance to the complex is a large supermarket with hair salon and pet store as well as two fast food hamburger places and pasta place. Just past that is a great neighborhood pub called The Game - kids welcome until 9pm and they say they are voted best breakfast in town. They serve Eggs Benedict on the weekend that is fabulous. Otherwise I go for The Large Game with the sirloin steak. Their steak is awesome. Across from The Game is La Corona, a great family owned Mexican restaurant and Cantina. They have a great family family dining atmosphere and a lounge that can't be beat. Karoake in the bar Friday and Saturday night. The whole staff is just amazing and it's stumbling distance back to the condo. I highly recommend the blackberry margarita. Getting AroundVery close to bus lines. About a 20 min ride to downtown Kirkland and 55 minute commute to UW or downtown Seattle. Other Things to NoteThere is a keypad lock on the front door that will be programmed with the last four digits of your phone number on your airbnb profile. Enter the code and you will see a green light, turn the bolt to the right to unlock and repeat process when exiting but turn bolt to left to lock.

Amazing hiking in the North Cascade Mountains is reachable within an hour. Kayak and stand-up paddle board rentals are available in multiple locations nearby. Getting AroundYou can catch a number of buses in walking distance, including to downtown Kirkland, Bellevue and Seattle. Park-and-ride lots are a great way to access Seattle if you have a car. We're happy to help with bus and driving routes. If you want to rent a car, Enterprise is nearby and will pick you up from our house and take you to your rental car. Other Things to NoteOur House is 4 miles from downtown Kirkland, 3 miles from downtown Bothell, 7.5 miles from downtown Redmond, 11 miles from downtown Bellevue and 20 miles from downtown Seattle. Buses to downtown Kirkland, Seattle, Redmond and Bellevue are close by, as is a direct bus to UW Bothell campus. If you have a car, nearby park-and-ride lots allow you to skip navigating the Seattle traffic and parking hassle. Groceries and restaurants are an easy walk away. We have two indoor cats who are allowed out on the deck, but not out in the yard. Therefore we ask that you keep outside doors (except to the deck) closed and cats inside.
