The SpaceConvenient location downtown and the loft apartment that is entirely yours. This apartment includes a bedroom with queen bed, night stand, closet. Dining / living area includes table that seats four, a couch, and futon that can be used for additional sleeping if needed. Bathroom with tub/shower is attached to the bedroom. Kitchen is equipped with dishes, basic pots & pans, stove, oven, fridge, microwave, coffee maker. It's not stocked with food cooking supplies other than salt / pepper / cooking oil. Note that it's a 1950s kitchen, and the fridge doesn't have a full freezer (it's just an ice box small freezer -- basically, you should not count on a freezer). Guests have their own thermostat for heat in cold months. There is no a/c, but there are fans for summer months. This is a clean, light, conveniently located apartment. It's basic, but comfortable. There won't be mints on the pillows, but it's clean, convenient, comfortable. Guest AccessGuests have their own entrance and key, and can come and go as they please. The apartment has its own private access and host will meet guests upon arrival or leave a key. Free street parking directly in front of the house. No parking due to street cleaning on early Tuesday and Thursday mornings, but then there is parking right around the corner (about 100' walk). Interaction with GuestsOwners use the office space on main floor (the office has its own, separate entrance). We are available if needed, but there otherwise isn't much interaction unless a guess wants or needs. The NeighborhoodOne block off Main Street and Bozeman's popular restaurants; grocery store behind the apartment for shopping; also one block to Lindley Park and Bozeman's public library. Very convenient location. Getting AroundStreet parking is free and open to public. There is a free public bus in town if needed: it's called the "Streamline," and routes can be found online. You can park right in front of the house every day of the week, except for Tuesday & Thursday early mornings, but then parking is available right around the corner on S. Wallace (less than 50 yard-walk). Other Things to NoteGenerally a 4-night minimum. We don't breakfast, but there is a kitchen for your use, and a grocery store across the alley. Wood floors, great light, great location. The Long Horn Cidery next door sometimes has music at night. It's just a couple / few times a week and typically ends by 10 pm. The bedroom of the apartment is on the far-side away from cider house, but if you are looking for absolute peace & quiet, you may hear them during summer nights. Backyard with picnic table is communal and open to take advantage of during summer months. There is no t.v. (call us progressive or old fashioned), but use the wifi to stream (assuming you have a laptop with you). There is no washer / dryer, but a couple laundry mats in downtown district. Clothesline in backyard available for use if wanted. There is no air conditioning, but there is a fan (and lots of windows for cross-ventilation). Towels and bedding are always provided. We don't provide ongoing new towels / bedding during a guest's stay, but guests can launder at the laundry mat if desired. (Prices are discounted for longer-term stays, and cleaning services only done upon move-out unless requested, which will have an extra fee.) This is a 1940s house, but clean, comfortable, and convenient location. Guests should note that we try to price it accordingly (it's not one of the downtown boutique hotels), and describe it in full detail here.

The SpaceWe provide private and simple lodging, but nothing fancy. Please read the entire description/house rules and reviews BEFORE sending us a reservation request. By sending us a reservation request you are confirming that you read everything and agree to book under the given conditions. Of course we are happy to answer any additional questions. - Bedroom: one queen size bed (a queen size mattress on the box spring) 32" HDTV with full cable and wireless headset; WIFI; comfy reading chair, closet and dresser, cotton sheets. - Bathroom: across the hall (in the utility room), small but complete and private. However if you are claustrophobic/have other concerns OR absolutely need a big bathroom, you better look for another place. - We have another Airbnb option on the same floor (check Spacious Placious). So the entrance to the downstairs is the "common spaces" when both places are booked. - We use a different entrance. Guest AccessPrivate access to the downstairs floor: through the enclosed backyard, down 10 steps (with a handrail) and then through the utility room (your private bathroom is there) to your room on the left. Sometimes you might be sharing this access should we also be renting our other Airbnb space on the same floor (check Spacious Placious) Washer/dryer (9am-9pm) - free for guests who stays min 3 nights Interaction with GuestsWhile very friendly we generally stay to ourselves, but are always available by text/call. We will likely meet you upon your arrival, but give you your privacy after that. Getting AroundStreamline Bus (free) goes all about town and stops 2 short blocks away. Most things are in walking distance. Other Things to Note1. We believe that Airbnb community builds upon coherent communication between guests and hosts. Make sure you have a clear profile picture and, preferably, a verified ID - especially if you are newbie and don't have positive reviews yet. If you have a picture of a dog (cat, rooster, crocodile, etc) as your identification photo, it's fine and dandy, but that won't work with us. We love animals, but can't accommodate them, sorry. 2. We're a mature married couple that like a comfortable and peaceful environment and enjoy a healthy life style. So night life lovers please look for another accommodation. 3. We have two sweet senior dogs, but you won't see them, unless you wish to.

The SpaceWe think that you will truly enjoy the unique style of Yellow Dog Cottage, nestled in a lush historic South-side neighborhood, lovingly renovated and decorated with contemporary Knoll furniture pieces paired with antiques and rustic accents. Quality linens & bathrobes. Our 110-year-old farmhouse-style home is on the other side of this property providing privacy, but making it convenient to get anything extra you might need. Why not pay less than you might for most standard hotel rooms and enjoy loads of space, high standard furnishings, and extras like fresh coffee beans and tea. A Danish wood-burning stove makes the cottage even cozier, and the vaulted ceilings provide a wonderful feeling of openness. One space flows into the next, making this a relaxing get-away spot. The cottage sleeps three comfortably, but a 4th person could be comfortable on a cot; please request one in advance if needed ($20/night). The cottage is in walking distance to historic downtown Bozeman, Montana State University, and the Museum of the Rockies (each 10 mins.). There are stunning walking trails nearby, along with parks, restaurants of all sorts, and ice cream and sandwich shops. It's always beautiful in Bozeman - rain (we have the most amazing rainbows), shine (there’s a lot of it), or snow (the better to ski in) - there is something for everyone. Whether you like to hike, wander, fish, ski, hunt, or shop and dine out, our cowboy country offers everything from wine bars and whisky distilleries to quaint coffee shops, local bison to vegetarian cuisine, boutiques and high-end fashion, the most amazing rivers in which to fish, float, and tube, world class skiing, hot springs - no matter what you like the local charm abounds. Yellowstone National Park and the Big Sky ski resort are a short 55 minutes away. Bridger Bowl - America's awesome best-kept secret ski area - is only 18 minutes away. We have a film festival, food festival, the Sweet Pea festival, art walks, "Music on Main" each week in the summer, and so much more… Check out this link for a calendar of events: (website hidden) Guest AccessSmall private yard space with stylish table and chairs for outdoor relaxing. Interaction with GuestsPlease let us know if there is anything you need to make your stay more enjoyable and we will happily work to accommodate you! The NeighborhoodWe think our neighborhood is the nicest in Bozeman. Here is where you will find most of the town's historic homes, including the Story Mansion just one block away. There is a wonderful, friendly atmosphere with a mix of locals, transplant families, and university students who all live in Bozeman for the amazing quality of life and accessibility to the incredible array of outdoor activities and beauty. MSU and downtown are each less than 10 minutes by foot. Hiking and biking trails are close by. Getting AroundOff street parking is available. We have Uber in Bozeman, although it's possible to walk to a great deal of what town has to offer. There is also a fabulous bus service that even goes to the ski areas.

Being a native of this area, I will be able to help you match your preferences regarding restaurants, activities, etc. to the huge array of options. Bozeman and the surrounding area has so much to offer: 1.5 hours to Yellowstone Park, unending hiking and cross country ski trails, two top notch downhill ski areas with a total of 24 lifts and 222 named runs, world class fishing, golfing, everything from amazing sushi to one of the best steaks you will ever eat, great little shops with unique items, amazing chocolates and caramels made locally, the best shoe store ever, majestic mountains all around and a scenic valley to drive through with many types of agriculture on display. If you would like to have certain foods or drinks items available to you when you arrive, please let me know what those are and I will purchase those for you. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please call me at (phone number hidden). I would love to answer any questions you have. Getting AroundThe airport is 8 miles away and there are taxis available. Also there is a good transit system called Streamline. Other Things to NoteI have lived in or near Bozeman all of my life. We have lots of good tips on downhill and cross-country skiing, hiking, backpacking, Montana's national parks, and local hot spots. We also have a very friendly golden retriever (not allowed in the apartment) that loves to make new friends! We live on 23 acres surrounded by 2,000+ acres of ranch land. Great for walks and wildlife spotting - raptors, deer, even the occasional bear or moose. We also have great songbirds. From the front door there are miles of walking trails into the hills with big sky views. Although it's rural we are just two miles from downtown Bozeman. Parking is easy in our multi-car driveway. We are on the north-east side of town, easy driving to downtown, our local ski area or shuttles to ski areas farther afield (Big Sky, Moonlight). Yellowstone National Park is an hour and a half away through the beautiful Paradise Valley. Children under 5 are welcome. We can provide sleeping pads for extra guests but please note the extra charge of $15 per person per night. Guest AccessGuests have access to both the lower and upper decks, as well as the sitting area under the aspens on the west lawn. Interaction with GuestsWe are happy to point guests to local attractions, advise them on gear and conditions and tell them about our favorites haunts. We have created a binder filled with information about grocery stores, favorite restaurants, breweries and attractions which we hope will be helpful to you. The NeighborhoodWe live just outside of the town limits, about ten minutes from downtown. Cows are pastured on land surrounding us and we hear and see lots of songbirds, coyotes, marmots and foxes. We also see jackrabbits, cottontails, weasels, eagles and hawks. Runners, hikers, mountain bikers and birders are routine on the trails below our house. Getting AroundPublic transit is only available in town. To get to us, you do need a car. In winter, it is best to have 4WD or at least all wheel drive and good tires. Other Things to NoteWe love Montana and the West and hope you will too! We are 20 minutes from Bridger Bowl, our local non-profit ski area, an hour from Big Sky, and 1.5 hours from Yellowstone Park. We provide a starter supply of coffee and teabags and a few kitchen basics. A good locally-owned grocery store is ten minutes away when you need more.
