The SpaceQuaint Log Cabin Nestled Amongst Trees in the Heart of the Manistee Nat'l Forest Welcome to the Aubert Den. This cozy log cabin is located in the Ward Hills region of the Manistee National Forest. We invite you to come and enjoy all Lake County has to offer. Out the back door, you will find hiking trails leading you into the surrounding wooded hills. This immediate area is excellent for hiking, snow shoeing and seasonal hunting. Naturalists will enjoy our resident wildlife such as grouse, deer, owl and wood peckers. After dark, from time to time, the baying of the coyotes can be heard in the distance. For some fun and excitement, mountain bikers will find the North Country Trail just 3 miles from the cabin. Also, the Little 'O' ORV/ATV Trail can be reached by following our 2 track to the property line. Fishermen may travel 4 miles from the cabin to the Pere Marquette River Access at Rainbow Rapids. Snowmobilers are also welcome and may store up to 8 sleds in our garage. From there, just fire 'em up and trail 35 is one mile to the east. Inside the cabin, twin bedrooms are outfit with Amish made log bunk beds. Each bunk bed has a full size mattress on the bottom and a twin size mattress on the top, sleeping 3 persons per room. In the living room, a full sized futon comfortable sleeps an additional 2 persons, accommodating 8 persons maximum. All bedding and towels are provided. The kitchen is equipped with a standard size refrigerator/freezer, four burner electric stove top, a medium sized toaster oven, microwave, crockpot, coffee pot, pots, pans, cooking utensils, dinnerware, silverware, glassware and table linens. The dining table seats 6 comfortably with using the additional leaves provided. Behind the cabin, a charcoal grill is provided. Alternatively, an outdoor glass patio table seats 4, or you may enjoy taking advantage of vintage TV trays (set of 4) and skip the formalities. To ensure a meaningful getaway up north, no television is provided. However, you are welcome to enjoy our extensive dvd collection that shall suit most interest types. We encourage our guests to spend time by the fire, as behind the cabin there is a fire ring for roasting goodies and telling stories. We look forward to hosting your Northern Michigan adventure in the near future!! Guest AccessGuests will have access to over 300 miles of groomed snowmobile trails and orv trails from the driveway. We invite you to explore the Aubert Den's 17 acres as well as the Manistee National Forest directly out back of the property. Interaction with GuestsThe Aubert's live on property with their Airedales. Upon arrival, Lawrence & Ashley will greet you at the cabin to ensure everything is in order for your stay.     72nd Street House New to our Red Moose Lodge family as of September 2014. We now offer a larger house for rent through our lodge. The house is located on 72nd street between the lumberjack access and Green Cottage. (See our pricing page for occupant allowances) House Features ##3 bedrooms-Master bedroom has a King size bed, Bedroom 2 has two full size beds and bedroom 3 has a queen size bed (all linens included). ##2 full bathrooms-one main bathroom and a master bedroom bathroom (all towels included). ##Full kitchen (house wares included) ##Living room with sectional sofa, recliner and Dish Network satellite television. ##Dining room with table and 4 chairs. ##Screened in porch. ##Included with the house rental is a fire pit and barbeque grill. ##50" flat screen television with Dish Network programming. ##Air conditioning. Please note the following house policies.. ##We do not allow camping or RV's of any type on the house premises. House is 1,300 square feet on 1/2 acres, so there is plenty of room and privacy. Living room is 15' x 15'. Sun porch is 20' x 13.5' and screens to make for bug free relaxing. Only .1 mile to the Pere Marquette River + close to state land and all trails. We have plenty of parking for boats, snowmobiles, ATV's, trailers and bikes. Hundreds of miles of trails, fishing, hunting, canoeing, golfing, hiking, skiing, ATV trails. Only 25 minutes from Ludington Light Houses and Lake Michigan beaches with lakes and campgrounds near by. We are in Baldwin, MI. Michigan Adventure, a water and ride park, is only 45 min. away. It's only 15 miles to Lake Michigan beaches, lighthouses, ferryboat & charter fishing. Lake county has 156 Lakes & 48 trout streams with in house guide service for Salmon, Steelhead & Trout fishing available on the Pere Marquette, Manistee & Muskegon Rivers + guided hunting trips[extra fee] . For a day trip you can visit Michigan Adventure Amusement Park; four casinos; two sand dunes [Silver Lake and Sleeping Bear]; three+ wineries, golf courses, etc. We are with-in 90 miles of 8 Lighthouses on Lake Michigan shore line and four casinos, one in Traverse City, Leland, Mount Pleasant, and Manistee . There are also sand dunes with rides at Silver Lake Dune Rides. Rent one of ATV's and go ride the Dunes. We are also with-in 60 miles of 3 water parks, one in Cadillac , Interlocken, the other in Muskegon. Events Michigan Motorcycle Event Just off 10 hwy, south on Landon Rd which has a "Sign" out on 10 hwy. Close to Barothy Lodge and Lower Branch Bridge of the fly fishings Great Pere Marquette River. You can walk right in!!

Woven rugs warm the hardwood floors in the living area as Onaway stone graces the entrance with a forest view from every window. The lodge has a large deck and patio overlooking the large stone fire pit, making entertaining in the woods a treat! Downstairs, the Lodge features 3 individually appointed rooms furnished with Amish made log beds, each with their own private bathroom. Adjacent to the sleeping rooms, guests can also enjoy our lower fireplace and Jøtul wood burning stove in the lounge area decorated with unusual antiques from the 1880-1900's. Your stay at the Lodge includes a full gourmet breakfast, complimentary beverages and snacks, and evening coffee with homemade dessert. Several nights a week, a 4-course gourmet dinner is offered.         I will tell you a little bit about our cottage. But first-caution when paying on-line for a vacation rental!!!!! I read a story about an owner that had his vacation rental on-line sites compromised by phishing emails. To prevent this from happening to you may I strongly suggest? 1. All scams ask customers to wire money; everything else is too complicated. a. Do NOT wire money. b. Pay by echeck or via credit card only. 2. Never, ever open an email from a vacation rental site asking the client to “open a link. a. They may also say you should log off and log back into their accounts –using the link provided. Don't do it. Any questions google the vacation rental site for their number and talk directly with them about paying. Now about our cottage.... Located within The Manistee National Forest, Chalet Sur Le Lac (Cottage on the Lake) is a peaceful 800' sq. ft. A Frame cottage on the beautiful Emerson Lake in Mason County Michigan. With its private setting and no public lake access it's easy to experience tranquility while you watch the lake come alive with geese, loons, and an occasional swan on a 100' of private lake frontage. Chalet Sur Le Lac is only minutes from Lake County, an outdoor fisherman paradise of endless rivers and streams. The Pere Marquette, the Pine, and the little Manistee are the most popular for their trout and salmon fishing, but there are many great brookie feeder streams as well. The Pere Marquette and the Pine are two of the 16 National Wild and Scenic Rivers in Michigan and the Pere Marquette draws fishermen from all over the world because of its reputation of the finest trout rivers in the Midwest. These rivers and their many tributaries also provide wonderful scenic canoeing and even some whitewater kayaking. There are many places nearby to visit. Ludington (2012 population 8,045) which is located just 15 miles straight west of the cottage has many things to do and see. Along with its beautiful Lake Michigan Beaches is the North Breakwater Light which is Ludington's lighthouse ranked # 1 to visit in Michigan. From there you can wave at the S.S. Badger car ferry as it cruses out onto Lake Michigan, or fish for salmon. You can take a stroll downtown Ludington and visit the many shops, dinning restaurants and clubs. Ludington along with its many golf courses is also the site for three 24-hole disc golf courses, Beauty (5,709 f.t), Beast (7,093 ft.) and Goliath (8,160 ft.) which is the third largest course in the world. Leviathan (18 holes) has two courses at 7,925 ft. and 4,367 ft . Sandcastles Children's Museum and a local bowling alley are some of the other activities to do. Scottville (2010 population 1,214) is located about 8 miles straight west of the cottage and it offers a disc golf course built along the edge of Scottville Riverside Park, appropriately named The Edge. West Shore Community College has a course Labyrinth...a par 3 that consists of two, 12-hole loops that can be played separately or together. The short course is 6,425 ft. and the long course is 6,630 ft. Disc golf is an inexpensive great sport for anyone, regardless of age or ability.Chalet Sur Le Lac features one bedroom with a queen size bed, there is a loft with two twin size beds and with the futon in the living room this cottage will sleep 6 adults. All Linens (sheets, blankets and towels) are furnished. There is a large living room, kitchen, and one bathroom with a shower. The fully –equipped kitchen has a refrigerator, electric stove with oven, microwave, toaster, crock pot, blender, pots, pans, dishes, coffee maker (some coffee and filters are furnished) and all the utensils you need for cooking. There are four stools at the snack bar and the dining room table seats six. Outside you'll enjoy a charcoal grill and the fire pit while you relax in a canopy of large oaks and spruce trees. No smoking indoors, No pets, No subletting of cottage, No tents or campers are allowed FEATURES SUPPLIED: Paper products, bath and kitchen towels, linens, picnic table and outdoor lawn chairs. Suggestions to bring: Personal soap products, insect repellent, Charcoal, sunscreen, fishing equipment (there is no place to launch a boat).

        Secluded cabin with lots of character in a secluded area (40 acres) with a pond and a diving board right outside the back door. If you're looking for a getaway that is private, this is it. It is ideal for a couple, but would also work for a group of friends or small family. The atmosphere is rustic and quaint, yet has many modern amenities. The cabin is situated east of Hart, MI and is thirty minutes away from Lake Michigan beaches and an hour away from a casino. There's plenty to see and do or just relax and enjoy the solitude and tranquility. Quiet and secluded.

The Pere Marquette, the Pine, and the little Manistee are the most popular for their trout and salmon fishing, but there are many great brookie feeder streams as well. The Pere Marquette and the Pine are two of the 16 National Wild and Scenic Rivers in Michigan and the Pere Marquette draws fishermen from all over the world because of its reputation of the finest trout rivers in the Midwest. These rivers and their many tributaries also provide wonderful scenic canoeing and even some whitewater kayaking. There are many places nearby to visit. Ludington (2012 population 8,045) which is located just 15 miles straight west of the cottage has many things to do and see. Along with its beautiful Lake Michigan Beaches is the North Breakwater Light which is Ludington’s lighthouse ranked # 1 to visit in Michigan. From there you can wave at the S.S. Badger car ferry as it cruses out onto Lake Michigan, or fish for salmon. You can take a stroll downtown Ludington and visit the many shops, dining restaurants and clubs. Ludington along with its many golf courses is also the site for three 24-hole disc golf courses, Beauty (5,709 ft.), Beast (7,093 ft.) and Goliath (8,160 ft.) which is the third largest course in the world. Leviathan (18 holes) has two courses at 7,925 ft. and 4,367 ft. Sandcastles Children's Museum and a local bowling alley are some of the other activities to do. Scottville (2010 population 1,214) is located about 8 miles straight west of the cottage and it offers a disc golf course built along the edge of Scottville Riverside Park, appropriately named The Edge. West Shore Community College has a course Labyrinth...a par 3 that consists of two, 12-hole loops that can be played separately or together. The short course is 6,425 ft. and the long course is 6,630 ft. Disc golf is an inexpensive great sport for anyone, regardless of your age or ability. Chalet Sur Le Lac features one bedroom with a queen size bed, there is a loft with two twin size beds and with the futon in the living room this cottage will sleep 6 adults. All Linens (sheets, blankets and towels) are furnished. There is a large living room, kitchen, and one bathroom with a shower. The fully –equipped kitchen has a refrigerator, electric stove with oven, microwave, toaster, crock pot, blender, pots, pans, dishes, coffee maker (some coffee and filters are furnished) and all the utensils you need for cooking. There are four stools at the snack bar and the dining room table seats six. Outside you'll enjoy a charcoal grill and the fire pit while you relax in a canopy of large oaks and spruce trees. Over thirty lakes and three rivers in the area offer salmon, steelhead, rainbow and brown trout fishing. Enjoy winter snowshoeing on local trails or at Ludington State Park. Snowmobile in the Manistee National Forest. Ski or snowboard 40 miles away at Caberfae Peaks in Cadillac. Ludington State Park is located just a short drive from Walhalla and is called 'Queen of Michigan's Parks.' For some fun and excitement, mountain bikers will find the North Country Trail just 3 miles from the cabin. Also, the Little 'O' ORV/ATV Trail can be reached by following our 2 track to the property line. Fishermen may travel 4 miles from the cabin to the Pere Marquette River Access at Rainbow Rapids. This is a great location for snowmobilers! Trail 35 is one mile east of the cabin. Inside the cabin, twin bedrooms are outfit with Amish made log bunk beds.                 You will enjoy your vacation tucked away in this private lakefront setting. Sitting back off Taylor road only a few properties exist there. Great lake to Kayak or canoe on during the summer. During the fall a great cabin for hunting ventures. In the winter this is a great place to spend the evenings after sledding the trails. This cabin sleeps 4 in beds but could hold a couple extra children in the living room. This is not the place for large gatherings.

                Beautiful 3000 sq foot home offers tons of space for large families or groups. The house is located on a hill, with the dock and lake landing at the bottom. At this time, there are no stairs in place down to the lake. Guests must walk down a somewhat steep hill to get to waterfront. There is a less steep pathway to the lake at the South end of property. The lake is spring fed and clean, however it is quite shallow. The bottom of the lake is murky, therefore swimming is not at option. The owners as well as many of our guests have had great success catching bass and blue gill. Bald eagles, golden eagles, and deer are often spotted close to the lake. Main level includes master suite (queen bed), main floor laundry, full kitchen and eating area, and large picturesque great room. Lower level includes full bedroom (full bed, twin bed, and crib) and bath, wet bar, family room (4 twin beds 1 Full) and walk out patio. Loft includes bedroom ( 2 full beds) and bath, as well as sitting room with beautiful view of lake. (full size futon) There are also 3 full size air mattresses to utilize if needed . Out the back door, you will find hiking trails leading you into the surrounding wooded hills. This immediate area is excellent for hiking, snow shoeing and seasonal hunting. Naturalists will enjoy our resident wildlife such as grouse, deer, owl and wood peckers. There are quite a few groomed cross-country ski trails are nearby. After dark, from time to time, the baying of the coyotes can be heard in the distance. For some fun and excitement, mountain bikers will find the North Country Trail just 3 miles from the cabin. Also, the Little 'O' ORV/ATV Trail can be reached by following our 2 track to the property line. Snowmobilers can find Trail 35 one mile east of the cabin. Fishermen may travel 4 miles from the cabin to the Pere Marquette River Access at Rainbow Rapids. Inside the cabin, twin bedrooms are outfit with Amish made log bunk beds. Each bunk bed has a full size mattress on the bottom and a twin size mattress on the top, sleeping 3 persons per room. In the living room, a full sized futon comfortable sleeps an additional 2 persons, accommodating 8 persons maximum. All bedding and towels are provided. The kitchen is equipped with a standard size refrigerator/freezer, four burner electric stove top, a medium sized toaster oven, microwave, crockpot, coffee pot, pots, pans, cooking utensils, dinnerware, silverware, glassware and table linens. The dining table seats 6 comfortably with using the additional leaves provided. Behind the cabin, a charcoal grill is provided. Alternatively, an outdoor glass patio table seats 4, or you may enjoy taking advantage of vintage TV trays (set of 4) and skip the formalities. To ensure a meaningful getaway up north, no cable is provided. However, you are welcome to enjoy our extensive dvd collection that shall suit most interest types. We encourage our guests to spend time by the fire, as behind the cabin there is a fire ring for roasting goodies and telling stories.                   This modern cottage is nestled in Manastee National Forest with a short walk to your private dock and 150 feet of lake frontage. Round Lake is a great fishing, boating and swimming all sports lake. Have a boat? Use the public launch and store it at our dock for the duration of your stay. This cottage was finished in 2014 and has all modern amenities. Upper lever features modern kitchen and washer and dryer. The lower level has a full bar area with an additional refrigerator. This property sits on three acres. Great features include large second story deck, two fireplaces, over 2200 square feet of living space, two full bathrooms, Cable TV and Wifi, gas grill and a fire pit.
