The SpaceThe Swallow's Nest is a home away from home, a stand alone guest house on an organic farm. It has a bedroom with one queen sized bed, a loft with two twin sized beds and a pull out leather couch which becomes a full sized bed. There is a full kitchen with dishwasher, refrigerator, and gas stove, and a huge bathroom with laundry. This summer (2016) we've seen more guests from cities seeking an escape from heat and noise. We are lucky enough to have dark skies at night for star gazing. Guests rave about the exquisite beauty of our marsh and mountains. Bring your cameras and binoculars!!!!! There is no public transit. However the village of Brandon is walkable at 1.5 miles and an easy bike ride away. There is no smoking on the farm. We currently have a no pets policy. Guest AccessBring your cross country skis, snowshoes, ice skates, mountain bikes and hiking shoes. There's loads of open space to enjoy. Interaction with GuestsWe are here in the main house which is close to the guest house, therefore you are secluded but not alone. We hope you enjoy the quiet of our farm and countryside. Getting AroundThere is no public transit. However the village of Brandon is walkable at 1.5 miles and an easy bike ride away. Other Things to NoteThere is no smoking on the farm at all. We currently have a no pets policy. The price is for double occupancy. We charge $30/ ppn/ per night extra.

    Romantic spot, totally secluded, exceptional water and mountain views Situated on our organic farm, our lovely guest house is the perfect place for a weekend getaway, or extended vacation. 'The Nest' is surrounded by 50 acres of meadows and offers exceptional views of the Green Mountains and Vermont countryside. Inside the newly-renovated cottage you will find accommmodations for up to six. Upstairs there is a private bedroom (with queen size bed) and a sleeping loft with two twins. There is also a full size Ethan Allen pull-out sofa downstairs. Our kitchen is well-equipped, full-sized, and includes custom cherry cabinets and a gorgeous view of the mountains. The full bath (full tub & shower) includes a washer, dryer and iron. Being only 1.5 miles from the village center allows easy access to Brandon's many shops, restaurants, and galleries. Our central Vermont location (only 15 miles from Rutland or Middlebury) also provides the opportunity to enjoy local wine & cheese tours, hiking or biking trails, and numerous ski resorts. Killington, Pico and Middlebury Snow Bowl are about 25 miles from The Nest, while Sugarbush, Mad River Glen and Okemo are approximately 40 miles away. A visit to The Nest is perfect in any season. It is the ideal home base for any getaway, whether it be skiing, 'leaf-peeping', hiking or simply relaxing and enjoying the natural beauty of Vermont. No smoking or pets in guest house please! The rates are for one room double occupancy. There is a $30.00 per person charge per night for more than two people. The Swallows Nest is near the main house of a working Vermont farm. it is set in the hayfields, down a long driveway. Brandon is an interesting town along route 7 with many artists, musicians, artisans and chefs.

    The SpaceThis is a four season home, with a three season screened in porch which runs the length of the back of the house. There is both washer and dryer, and an old fashioned clothes line accessible from the porch. Our kitchen is fully equipped. There is no dishwasher. The downstairs bedroom has one queen size bed. There are two upstairs bedrooms, one with two twin beds, the other with a full size bed. Upstairs doorways are low so you may have to duck your head. Guest AccessThe whole house is yours, except the basement level. Interaction with GuestsMy sister, who lives in Brandon, is your local contact. The NeighborhoodThe house is located in a quiet neighborhood setting, just a 5 minute walk from downtown Brandon, where you can enjoy food offerings ranging from pizza to French cuisine, a local brew at the downtown pub, or a pastry and a cappuccino. The Green Mountain National Forest, Brandon Gap and the Long Trail are less than eight miles away. Getting AroundBrandon is on Route 7, the main north/south state highway, with Burlington about 1 hour and 15 minutes north and Rutland about 25 minutes south. Middlebury is about 20 minutes away. Brandon is most easily accessed by car, but there is Amtrak service to Rutland and Burlington. Burlington, Rutland, Albany NY, Manchester NH, Boston MA and Montreal all are accessible by air and within a 3 and a half hour drive (or closer) to us. Other Things to NoteGuests may park in the driveway on the side or in the gravel parking spot in front of the house.

      The SpaceBasically brand new. Quirky yet classic. Comfortable space to relax, sleep late under the down comforter, have coffee on the sun porch. (The space was created with adults in mind; not appropriate for young children/ babies.) Lots of artwork and a calm color palette creates a feeling of relaxed luxury. Sofa has a queen pull out with gel foam mattress. Fully equipped kitchen . Guest bathroom has a shower. Open concept living/dining area. Flat screen Smart TV, wi-fi, DVD player and Bluetooth. Books, magazines and games. Sliders lead to a small deck.(During the warmer months, hammock and Adirondack chairs/table available.) Also available is a window unit air conditioner which we are happy to install on request. Presently there is a powerful Dyson fan with remote. Guest AccessThe entire house....and the lot next door. Interaction with GuestsWe live right around the corner and across the street; the black and white house set back from the road. Motorcycle riders are welcome to park their bikes in one of our garages. The kitchen is well stocked however if in need of something that's not provided, just give a call. We are happy to be of help in any way needed. If we aren't there to greet you, keys will be in the mailbox where you can leave them when you depart. While we like to meet you upon arrival, we respect your privacy for the remainder of your visit. The NeighborhoodQuiet yet walkable to downtown. Nice mix of educators, law enforcement and retirees on our street. The area was once known as the Brandon Highlands. Out the door and to the right walk down the hill. You will pass a park on your left. Keep walking and you are in the downtown core. There are many shops : don't miss the Home store located upstairs over the bakery. Worth the climb after a delicious sticky bun. The bakery doubles as our wine store; many local cheeses too. Stop by Carr's Flowers and Gifts: too many wonderful items to choose from. And most certainly visit the Brandon Artists Guild. Cafe Provence is next door-a must for lunch or dinner. Hannafords grocery store is downtown and if in Middlebury, the Co-op is open to all and has more of a Whole Foods vibe. Getting AroundThere is a bus that goes to Middlebury/Rutland. You can walk to town from the house however a car is necessary to get to Brandon from any airports. The Burlington Airport is closest, then Albany, then Manchester and finally Boston. Amtrak departs from Rutland with daily service to New York City. It is about a five hour ride. Other Things to NoteDuring the snowy months we attempt to keep the parking area in front of the house clear. If it looks too deep, please park around the corner where a spot is plowed out.There is a small trash can with ice melt in it for the steps should it get icy. Please back out of the car park with caution. Trash can be placed in the receptacle to the right of the slider doors outside when you leave. During the warmer months, please keep the screen door to the deck closed. If you use spray sun block/bug repellent please do so on the (URL HIDDEN) leaves oily residue on the rugs/hardwoods if sprayed inside.

        This is a special little hideaway just a five minute walk to our lovely downtown. Located in a quiet residential area, create your own retreat in this newly built art filled cottage. The bedroom is separated from the open concept living space by sliding barn doors. The en suite bathroom has a tub/ shower combo with a hand crafted vanity and separate toilet room. A walk-in closet hosts a full size washer/dryer and clothing storage. The kitchen is fully equipped: gas range, Bosch dishwasher, microwave,espresso machine, dishes, pots/pans . Beautiful honed granite counter tops and open shelving. The open concept living area has a dining area with seating for four . The living room has a sofa which is a queen pull out. Flat screen "smart" TV, stereo and DVD player. Wi-fi throughout. Guest bath has a shower, re-purposed vanity with a waterfall sink. Calm colors, carefully chosen furnishings and a sun porch with futon and a good reading chair. Our lovingly renovated cottage is located steps from our home.( We kindly ask that you do not smoke in or on the property. Please remove footwear upon entering; bring warm socks/slippers for indoor use.) The neighborhood is located up a small hill from Route 7 which is the main thoroughfare through town. It is a quiet haven consisting of working families and retired folks. It feels like it is much further from downtown than it actually is...a five minute walk. We live steps from The Little House and enjoy the area for its beauty and wildlife.

        The SpaceWe purchased this older mobile home from a dear long time neighbor, hence the name, and renovated it in 2015. We did all the work ourselves so while not a professional remodel we are quite proud of it! It is a great place to kick back and relax and we think it is very comfortable. It has three bedrooms and the master has a memory foam queen mattress bed. The two smaller bedrooms have smaller single beds that are still quite comfortable. One of the smaller bedrooms also has a computer desk with an office chair and power/USB charging ports. High speed Wi-Fi is included with a Smart TV with excellent sound. There is no cable or broadcast TV although there is Netflix, etc. through the Smart TV and an Apple TV and a Chromecast for use. Decently stocked kitchen and feel free to use anything in the cupboards/frig for your meals/cooking, Keurig coffee maker. Guest AccessThe entire home and during the warmer months the backyard. It includes a fire pit with wood to use and some outside games including a set of horseshoes. A picnic table and gas grill are available for use too. Interaction with GuestsWe live right next door and are readily available for any questions or assistance. We do have a garden and a few plants there in the growing months that we tend to, otherwise the place is yours to use during your stay. The NeighborhoodSmaller street in a residential neighborhood that is a 5 minute walk to downtown Brandon. There you can enjoy food offerings ranging from pizza to French cuisine, a downtown pub, or a pastry at a great French bakery. The Green Mountain National Forest, Brandon Gap and the Long Trail are less than ten miles away. Getting AroundVery close to Route 7 and an easy 5 minute walk to downtown Brandon. Your guest room features a 4 poster queen size bed and there is an adjoining private bath. *Your room is located on the 2nd floor with one flight of stairs to climb. *There is no TV in the room but we provide a TV in the guest sitting room. *The room has a lock and the room key is furnished to you upon arrival. *Day adventure packets and brochures are available for guest convenience. A binder with local restaurants is also available to you. *The guest areas are not handicap accessible. *Please note that your room faces highway 7 and traffic noise is to be expected at times. *Each morning coffee/tea will be available to you in the sitting room. Guest AccessMake yourself at home in our guest sitting room, dining room and rock on the front porch. We provide a free parking space on the white rocks next to the building. Interaction with GuestsWe make every effort to be available to you during your stay but there may be occasions where we will be out for part of the day. We will notify you in advance should we be away from the facility and for how long. The NeighborhoodOur house is located in a residential neighborhood of Brandon and just a short walk to restaurants and shops. The facility faces Highway 7 so expect some traffic noise at times. Brandon is centrally located in Vermont which provides a perfect starting point for all of your day adventures. Getting AroundVermont is a very small State with little public transportation so plan on an automobile for getting around. We are approximately a 4 hour drive from Boston and a 5-6 hour drive from NYC. Car rentals are available in Burlington, VT and Rutland, VT should you plan on flying to Vermont for your getaway. Other Things to NoteYour guest bedroom is located on second floor. Coffee and Tea are provided to you each morning in the sitting room. Wi-Fi is provided for your convenience. You can access the internet in the guest sitting room if you are unable to access it in your room. Cell phone coverage throughout the State is via towers so you may not have access to your phone in higher elevations or on remote hiking trails.               An Historic, Boutique, Country Inn located on the village green in the quintessential Vermont town of Brandon. The 39 guest rooms are unique and all come with private bathrooms. The rates include a full country breakfast. There is free, off road parking and high speed internet in all the rooms. T.V.'s are in several public sitting rooms only. There is seasonal A/C in all the rooms and an outside pool for guests in our extensive grounds. The Inn was first established in 1786 and started as a one storey tavern. It has continued to be a place of hospitality, family run, and welcoming visitors ever since. The Inn is on the National Historic Register along with 230 buildings in the village of Brandon. Although the feeling of history is maintained, the expectations of todays guest are fulfilled with up to date amenities in a variety of room types including: king; queen; two double/queen beds; family suites consisting of 2 rooms adjoining sharing one bathroom and Jacuzzi suites. There are several comfortably appointed public sitting rooms to relax in. Along with breakfast for our in house guests we cater to functions and meetings of all types including wedding ceremonies and receptions in our several dining rooms. The NeighborhoodWe are located three miles from the quaint village of Brandon, VT and a twenty minute drive to historic Middlebury, VT. We are also twenty-five minutes by car from Rutland, VT. Our house is located down a short dirt lane off the main road and very private. We have twenty-two wooded acres of land with hiking trails along the Neshobe River. We are a five minute drive from the VT Long Trail access in the green Mountain National Forest at the top of Brandon Gap. Also about 40 minutes from Killington and Pico ski areas. Getting AroundWe live in a rural setting, but close to town. Easy bike ride into town, but a car is necessary as there is no public transportation. Other Things to NoteIf the third bedroom is used, occupant must pass through the second bedroom to get to bathroom and downstairs. Not an issue if only using one or two bedrooms. There is a shower in the bathroom but no tub.

              Five Bedrooms: 2 Queen Beds, 1 King Bed, 3 Twin Beds and one full. Bedding provided. Large Master Bedroom with private handicapped accessible shower/bath. Two more bathrooms, 1 with shower, one with claw foot tub and shower. Large common areas including Game Room with Smart TV and sitting parlor with stone fireplace and wood stove. Wireless Internet access through out home. Modern Kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and extra cold food storage. All kitchen items/needs supplied and dining service for 10-12. Large Dining area to seat 12 indoors and large screened in back porch for dining. Ample lawn space, gardens and outdoor games provided. House is primarily stone and stays very cool in the summer months and very warm in the fall and winter months. Fans provided if needed.

The home is a fully equipped: Wi-fi, Smart TV, DVD, Bluetooth sound system, guest bath with shower and waterfall sink, all season sun porch with chair and couch, en suite bathroom off master with hand crafted vanity/travertine top, walk-in closet with full size washer/dryer.Calm color palette and local art; pull out sofa bed in open concept living space. Dining area seats four.Barn doors separate the bedroom from the living room. Gorgeous kitchen: honed granite counter tops, gas range, microwave, coffee maker, Capresso hot water kettle, Bosch dishwasher, pots/pans, dishware and cutlery. Small deck with table and chairs.                   Breath taking, perfect, wonderful, serene, spectacular, is how guests describe The Swallows Nest. We are a certified organic farm. The Nest is surrounded by wildlife, hayfields and looks north to the mountains across our large pond. It has a stone patio, full cherry kitchen, laundry, living room, bedroom and loft. It sleeps four. 20 minute drive to Middlebury, 20 minutes to Rutland. Unforgettable, unspoiled.

                  Peaceful, private, inviting, roomy 200 year old farmhouse on 114 acres in the Green Mountain National Forest- Goshen (central ) Vermont. Many updates, antique furnishings, clean, neat and very relaxing: Four bedrooms, one Queen on the first floor. Enjoy the large stone fireplace in living room, dining room, full bath/shower, and a large fully equipped country kitchen with pantry. Upstairs, there is a claw foot tub in bathroom as well as three bedrooms: a large Queen, twins and a large double. Cable TV, a full game closet, sleds, skating, golf, ponds nearby. Rent by the weekend, week or month. Holiday vacation weeks available. Great spot any season! Views are spectacular from the 3-season stone sun porch. Only one other home is visible from our property. Hiking trails, blueberry picking, the brightest stars on Earth, as well as rivers and ponds abound. Wildlife sighted frequently in our meadows. The nearby town of Brandon boasts many well-known galleries, book store, shops and a terrific French restaurant. At any season, this is a wonderful family vacation location. For skiers, we are close to Middlebury Snow Bowl, a small family mountain with varied terrain. A 30 minute drive takes you to Pico and Killington, and about 40 minutes will get you to Mad River and Sugarbush. Hiking and snowshoeing right out the door on logging trails throughout the property.
