The extra-large screened porch runs the entire width of the house which includes a dining area with seating for 6, extra seating area to just sit and relax along with a gas grill and food prep area. Since the house is elevated the view from the porch is amazing, where you can watch the river, boats, wildlife or just keep an eye on the kids. Master bedroom also looks out on the river with a king size bed, dresser, make up area, TV, paddle fan, large walk in closet and private bathroom with dual sink vanity, tub and shower. The other 2 bedrooms both have queen beds, flat panel TV’s, ceiling fans, one with a ½ bath and river view and the other located next to a full bathroom. The lighted dock offers 2 levels with seating on both along with a fish cleaning station, power, water and a ramp to the floating dock where you can tie off your boat or jet skis and fish or swim. There is also a separate stairway down to the water. A really fun place to just hang out. Downstairs offers sheltered parking for 2 vehicles picnic table, separate sink area, chair swing and additional entertainment area. Also available is an RV/Boat Parking pad adjacent to the house with 30 amp power for a self-contained RV (additional Fee required). The large shaded fenced yard offers plenty of space for yard games, has a tree swing the kids will love and a hammock for those lazy afternoon naps or to catch up on that favorite novel. 2 Concrete boat ramps, ethanol free fuel and convenience store for provisions are 3- 5 minutes away. This area has the largest concentration of fresh water springs on earth! There are 2 springs very close by to enjoy by boat, Bath tub spring is to the north approx. 1/4 mile which is a small perfectly round spring and Rock Bluff Spring is about 3/4 mile south, large beautiful spring, along with Bobs Water Park that has swings, slides and floating swim docks for the young at heart to enjoy and is located approx. 1.5 mile south of our dock. Bobs is accessible by boat or vehicle. The river offers endless activities for boating, swimming, fishing, jet skiing, canoeing, Kayaking, water skiing, tubing, snorkeling, scuba diving and most importantly just having fun or relaxing. Nothing beats floating down the river in a tube or a boat while enjoying family, friends and the great outdoors. Further up river are additional spring areas accessible by boat and the Sante Fe River which leads up to the beautiful and crystal clear Itchetucknee River. Downstream past Bobs Water Park is Gronto springs which has a boat ramp, small playground and pavilions, further south is Otter and then Hart springs which also has a campground and concessions. There are numerous other primitive or wild springs and spring runs along the river which promise to offer an adventurous day on the water. Blue Springs, Ginne Springs and Poe Springs Park are more public areas which include campgrounds, pavilions for cookouts and large swimming areas accessible by vehicle approx. a 15 min drive or from the Sante Fe River depending on water level. To the north is Troy springs, Little River park. Some of these springs are renound for their Scuba Diving options. There are a number of small towns nearby within 5-20 min drive offering State Parks, Antique shopping, multiple dining options, grocery and hardware stores, tube, canoe and Kayak rentals to include Guided trip availability. 45 min away are several larger towns including, Gainesville, Lake City, and Cheifland offering virtually anything you may want or need. Gainesville is home to the University of Florida offering multiple sports venues. Live Oak is Home to the Spirit of Suwannee State Park and Florida's Nature Coast is just a short drive also. Cedar Key, Crystal River, Homosassa, Horseshoe Beach and Steinhatchee are all approx. 1 hr. and are great places to explore some of which offer great seafood restaurants, shopping, sightseeing, flats and offshore fishing charters. Cedar Key offers a large boardwalk right on the Gulf of Mexico with numerous seafood restaurants, shops and is also home to the arts and seafood spring and fall festivals. Crystal River and Homosassa also have great waterfront dining options and are famous for their manatee exhibits as well. For the Outdoor and ATV enthusiast there are several management areas within riding distance and multiple trails which track along the river. It’s easy to see why the peace and tranquility of this site is perfect for the vacation" get away". Just far enough out in the country to hear the crickets, critters and your own heartbeat but close enough to cities to get or do anything you need.
