The SpaceYour room: Lovely space designed to be the master bedroom. A sitting area in the bedroom allows you to comfortably relax in privacy, if desired. The bed is full size and gets great reviews for comfort. It is ideally located - walking distance from the Seattle ferry, downtown Bremerton, PSNS, and Olympic College. There are two bathrooms but only one shower/bathtub which I am happy to make work for your schedule (you will only be sharing with me!). It also has a peekaboo view of Mt. Rainier. The home is located in a nice neighborhood of older homes. Guest AccessYou are welcome to enjoy my home as if it's yours. Especially during the warm months, there are also inviting spaces to sit outdoors, either in the front where you may meet neighbors walking by, or in the back, where you'll have plenty of privacy. If needed, I can also provide garage access. You will have your own unique code to unlock the door, so no need to deal with a key. Interaction with GuestsI am happy to share my knowledge of Bremerton, Seattle and all of the surrounding Puget Sound area. I am happy to interact when I'm around or give you privacy. I want to do whatever I can to make sure you have the best experience possible. Forgot something? I'm happy to provide whatever I can - don't hesitate to ask. My job means that I sometimes have long hours, but I will make sure you know how to get hold of me in case you need anything. The NeighborhoodBremerton is a revitalizing small town and Navy base with lots going on. People like me are buying older homes near downtown and restoring them, and there are nice condos right downtown with lots of new ones currently being built. A short walk downtown gives you lots of choices for eating (some with view decks), a multi-plex movie theater, the Admiral Theatre which brings acts from all over the country, a planetarium, neighborhood and waterfront parks, yoga studio, YMCA (nearby), interesting shops and museums. During the summer, there are outdoor concerts and festivals at the Harborside Marina and Fountain Park next to the ferry. Getting AroundIf you're visiting Seattle, it's hard to beat walking to the ferry and taking a gorgeous ride to downtown Seattle, with views of mountains and Mount Rainier along the way. The ferry takes an hour to get to downtown Seattle. During the weekdays, there is a commuter bus just around the corner that will drop you off at the ferry if you don't want to walk. There is also a foot ferry downtown that goes across the bay to the County Seat of Port Orchard. For touring the Kitsap or Olympic Peninsulas, having a car (or a guide with a car) is best. Other Things to NoteIt takes about 15-20 minutes to walk downtown to the Seattle or Port Orchard ferries. If you are doing work at the Shipyard, you can walk out the door and join the stream of workers heading that way every weekday morning. Olympic College is about a 5 minute walk to the nearest point. If I'm available, I can pick you up from the ferry. (If I'm not, I will make sure there is someone here to greet you when you first arrive. People with pets: I am sure your dog/cat is well-behaved, house-trained, all around adorable....but I still need to stick to the 'no pets' policy for guests. Sorry!
