The NeighborhoodWe live in the Central Austin neighborhood of Brentwood, 1 block down from Austin's famous Burnet Rd. There are plenty of local restaurants at only a walking distance, and there is a grocery store at a walking distance, as well. It is a great neighborhood for jogging, cycling, drinking, and thrift store shopping. A-town is a great shopping boutique for souvenirs, and it is also nearby. Getting AroundA) Access to 3 bus stops with routes that go downtown: 1) A 30 sec walk will get you to bus route 5 2) A quarter-of-a-mile walk will get you to bus 3 3) A half-mile walk will get you to the most frequent-running bus routes The 1 Routes. B) A bike ride down Guadalupe's bike lane, which is what I will be doing most days, will get you downtown in 20-25 minutes. C) The urban rail park and ride is less than a 5 minute drive away and goes straight to the center of the action D) We are less than 6 miles from downtown, so a taxi-ride is not too expensive, either. Other Things to NoteWe will provide a fresh, fitted sheet and a loose sheet for each couch and can provide a pillow and blanket if you'd rather not pack one.

The NeighborhoodLocated in Brentwood on a quiet residential street braced by quintessential Austin bars and restaurants on Burnet Road and funky boutiques on Koenig Lane and two great coffee shops, all within walking distance. Getting AroundThe house is close to downtown & UT campus, easily accessible by public transport. Parking is plentiful in my neighborhood which is very safe. You cannot park cars in my driveway because it will block my neighbor's garage. I am 4-5 miles from downtown which usually costs between $10-$12 in an Uber. If you take Mopac, it can take me 10 minutes to get downtown with no traffic. I can make it downtown in 15-20 minutes, even in morning rush hour traffic. I recommend driving down Lamar when there is traffic, it's faster than the either Mopac or 1-35 during rush hour. If you'd like to take public Transport, the Capital Metro site has plenty of information on bus/ Metrorail routes. I am 1 mile (20 min walk, 3 min drive) from the Crestview station if you'd like to take the MetroRail downtown. bus routes within two block ratius: 1 & 5. The one bedroom/one bath unit is an amazing space with compelling design. The essence of the unit is stucco and glass, walnut and stainless, custom built-ins and designer fixtures. Architecturally designed, 10 foot ceilings, massive glass sliding doors onto courtyard. Open concept living area with wall mounted 55 inch Samsung TV, walnut accent wall, walnut island and counters. I only live a few minutes away and am available at any time. The NeighborhoodThe condo is centrally located about 5 - 10 minutes from downtown. Convenient to The Triangle, Low-Burn, and Brentwood, the condo is in a cool 1940's neighborhood along with stunning architectural wonders. Urban living at its finest. Getting AroundThe location is terrific, close to downtown. I recommend a car but there is a public bus stop across the street from the condo. The downtown bus stops every 30 minutes. The airport is 14 miles from the the condo. There is one off-street designated parking space included in the driveway. Other Things to NoteThe mandatory Austin hotel tax for any stays less than 30 days is charged separately upon arrival. This one bedroom, one bath condo is perfectly sized and has the feel of downtown while being located in Central Austin. The kitchen is fully stocked and is designed with the convenience of a large island containing a porcelain sink with chef faucet, under counter dishwasher and dual trash/recycling pullout, and ample workspace on the Walnut counter-top. Framed by huge kitchen windows, there is a gas cooktop and oven, stainless refrigerator, washer and dryer, and custom pantry and built-ins. If you prefer an afternoon wine tasting, there is a custom built-in wine rack to hold your finest wines. The living room is decorated with a modern style including 12 feet of glass sliding glass doors, a mounted deer head, large hi-def Samsung TV, intimate sofa and seating and a Walnut accent wall. You will also enjoy the designer lighting and ceiling fan in the living area. The separate bedroom has a queen size bed, hotel quality linens, wall-mounted TV, ceiling fan, and custom built-in dresser. There is a separate spa bath with chandelier lighting, designer paint, double mirrored vanity, and custom built-in vanity cabinetry. The shower is a walk-in shower with glass door, tile surround and mosaic tile inset, trim and shower floor, plus a comfort bench for relaxing. The condo has a lovely outdoor area including large privacy fenced treed yard under the shade of 40 foot pecan trees, glass-topped wrought iron table and chairs and gas grill.

Sheltered by trees on 2 sides, it's a quiet and peaceful location typical of Brentwood. The walls are covered with my art, making the space bright and colorful. My husband works away from home mid-morning until evening. I'm a part time artist and usually in and out throughout the day. Austin has amazing tourist spots accessible by car and public transit. Just ask for recommendations! Quiet street parking available right out front. The metro rail and 3 bus lines are located within a half mile. The apartment is: -- 3 miles to the University of Texas campus -- 5.2 miles to downtown (Lady Bird Lake aka Town Lake) Getting AroundTwo blocks to the #5 Cap Metro bus which takes you directly to the UT campus (15 minutes) and downtown.
