The SpaceYour room is a private, second floor bedroom with a full bed and shared bathroom. A deck off the bedroom offers majestic sunsets.
The gardens provide lovely pockets of blossomy bliss around the house where you can read, reflect, or simply listen to the birds.
We are situated a two-minute walk from Seymour Pond, where you can relax, swim, or paddle.
The room is a spare bedroom. It is decorated and kept up for guests' comfort, but we do live here and maintain the house as our primary residence.
If you are looking for a guest house, inn, or hotel, there are some lovely places on route 6A. What we offer is more of a homestay. Here, you are our house guests. We offer a warm welcome, a clean and comfortable space, and the tranquility of our little patch of heaven. Most guests find this blissfully peaceful. Guest AccessYou will have access to the dining room, living room, upstairs and downstairs decks.
The kitchen is not available to guests, but coffee, tea, and treats are available all day in the dining area. Please do not use the fridge, stove, sink, etc. I am happy to help provide you with what you might need from the kitchen. Interaction with GuestsWe live on the premises so any issues that might arise can be resolved quickly and conveniently. We will do our best to check in with you periodically to share local information and make sure you are comfortable. We love this beautiful place we call home and are delighted to share recommendations for idyllic spots and scrumptious food. We are also happy to leave you to your own devices if that is what you prefer. The NeighborhoodPeppered with former homes of Sea Captains, Brewster's main street, Old King’s Highway, runs through town and is walking distance from Cape Cod Bay.
Three miles from the main street, Rosecliff Cottage is situated in a peaceful, residential neighborhood. You can spend whole days hearing nothing but birdsong and children's laughter.
If you walk or cycle through the neighborhood, the people you will encounter are residents or vacationers like yourself. We are a friendly set, who wave and chat when we pass each other.
Brewster is a seaside village filled with an array of small-town delights. The main street is a short bike ride or drive from Rosecliff. Here, you will find: antique shops, art galleries, ice cream shops, a general store, a bookstore, a lovely old library, churches, artisan shops, historic homes, a historical society museum, a natural history museum, beaches, walking trails, kayak and bike rental outlets, bike paths, a golf course, a windmill, farm stands. For dining, Brewster boasts a range of options: French, Mediterranean, American, Mexican, New England seafood, sushi, fine dining, casual dining, take out shacks, coffee shops, and a bakery. Getting AroundCape Cod has little in the way of public transportation, so having your own car is important. There is parking on the property. If you want to travel by bicycle, the bike path runs the length of the Cape and can be reached easily from the house. There is also a limited bus route that links the Cape Cod towns. Other Things to NoteWhen you book please let us know if you have any allergies, so we can better accommodate your needs.
Since we are still employed, we cannot always accommodate last-minute reservations. Please allow at least 24 hours for booking and confirmation. We understand that cancellation is sometimes unavoidable, and we authorize refunds if your cancellation falls outside of the penalty period.
There is no television in the bedroom. We have cable TV in the living room and wifi throughout the house. It is unlikely that you will want to spend any time watching t.v. while on Cape Cod, when you could be watching the birds or the clouds or the surf.
A window air conditioner is available for your room if it is unseasonably hot during your stay, but there is usually a cool, summer breeze off the pond. We find this preferable to a climate-controlled environment, and you might, too.
A generous country continental breakfast is provided from 7-10: some variety of yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, muffins, scones, toast, cheese, homemade jam, coffee, and tea.
