The SpaceBathroom is used by adult male renter that works nights and is rarely home and 11 year old child. (He will use the master bathroom if you only stay for one night). Although we are only half a mile from all amenities (grocery store, salon, barber, restaurants, gym, etc) we are in a rural section surrounded by trees on three sides. Property is located on several acres with 20+ acres of untouched land around us. New windows block out the noise outside very well. I admit the "view" from this bedroom isn't spectacular. A walk into the forest takes you away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We also have a hammock and a bonfire pit that guests are welcome to use (safely). Things to be aware of so you are not surprised or disappointed: We have 2 friendly dogs inside the house at all times that should not be let outside. They stay in the living room during the day and sleep in the master bedroom at night. They will bark to alert us of cars in the driveway or a strange animal noise outside. Since this is our family home it is not as clean as a hotel or a model home. There is clutter in the office, the kitchen floor needs to be swept even if it's already been swept, there maybe a dirty dish in the sink, and the hallway walls need a new coat of paint thanks to kids' fingers. We are friendly and welcoming but some people may be looking for a 5 star experience and I wanted to warn them first. :) Guest AccessGuests are welcome to use the guest bathroom and bedroom. Access to the kitchen and dinning room is available for meals. We do not have cable TV in the home, however, depending on the time of day that a guest wants to log in to our Netflix account, that may be possible (it only allows 2 logins at a time, so it would have to fit with that limitation.) Interaction with GuestsOutside of school hours we are available to answer questions or help with anything that's needed around the home. We will not intrude on your privacy or bother you at all, unless you ask us for help. (Okay my son is overly friendly so he will probably greet you and ask a question every time you come in or leave the home if he sees you.) The NeighborhoodWhile we are surrounded by newer communities and homes as well as shopping and amenities, we are one of the few rural homes that are left, surrounded by trees on three sides. Getting AroundWe are two miles from the VRE that takes you into the city. Uber and Taxi's do service our area as well.
