The house is located near the Fleetwood Metro North station, a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk, is ideal for NYC commuters or visitors, Manhattan is 25 min from Fleetwood. We are near Bronxville, Pelham, New Rochelle, Yonkers, and The Bronx. Guests will be able to use laundry room, treadmill, and good friendly conversation. Our home is located in a residential area, but walking distance there is a great Greek Restaurant, an Italian Deli, and a Bagel Breakfast Deli. We are close to Fleetwood, Pelham, Bronxville where there is large commercial area you'll be able to find Art Galleries, Boutiques, and a variety of restaurants, like Italian, Irish, French, Thai, Portuguese, Coffee Bars, and even a Cigar Bar. The Pelham Picture House is a lovely cinema to visit. New Rock City in New Rochelle, 10 min. drive, which is attraction heaven! Getting AroundThe best way to get to our place is by car. Fleetwood Metro North Station is the closest, but we prefer the Bronxville Station because there is a taxi stand that is open 24/7. Taxi ride is about $10. Other Things to NoteIf visiting Concordia College, Sara Lawrence College, and Iona College. We are in very close proximity to these colleges. The SpaceThe suite has two small rooms - a bedroom with one full size bed, TV and two lounge (URL HIDDEN) connecting room has a dining table and single bed/sofa. There is also a small but functional ensuite bathroom off the bedroom. We are only a 5 minute walk from the Bronxville train station and 6 minute walk to Sarah Lawrence College. The train to New York City takes 27 minutes to Grand Central. There are trains to Yankee Stadium on game days! Bronxville Village surrounds the station, so is in easy walking distance. It's a lovely village which acts as the college town for Sarah Lawrence with charming shops, restaurants and coffee places. The rental space has a private entrance on the ground floor, separate from the rest of the house. There is also access from the suite to our kitchen, which you are welcome to use. There is a mini fridge reserved for guests. The rooms are quiet, have cable TV and fast internet access via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. One caveat, the word "suite" seems to confuse some inquirers who are expecting enormous size and great luxury. These are very pleasant rooms, but definitely not enormous. The bathroom is functional and contains a shower, sink and toilet but is small and still has the old fixtures. This was historically the servants' quarters, so please do not expect rain shower-heads and Jacuzzi tubs. If we were able to provide sumptuous luxury, I guess we would be listing at twice the price! There is plenty of parking and you are welcome to use the outdoor areas and in warm weather. The house is built on a hill so, alas, is not disability-friendly. We would love to welcome you to a peaceful retreat in Westchester's loveliest community. Great for visiting Sarah Lawrence, Westchester, and New York City. Guest AccessAccess to kitchen which communicates directly to your sitting room. Use of all pots, pans, dishes etc. if you want to cook. Refrigerator space. You are also welcome to use the public living room and outside porch and yard. Interaction with GuestsInteraction is very much up to you. We are social people and really enjoy finding out about our guests. On the other hand, guests are often busy or tired and desire privacy, which we respect. We live and work here, so we are always available to answer questions, and we enjoy doing so. The house is compartmentalized, however, and extremely soundproof, so you are unlikely to hear us or other guests unless you choose to. The NeighborhoodBronxville is safe, quiet and pretty. The shops and restaurants are lovely. It is also very easy to get into Manhattan. There are several major malls close by for larger purchases. Sarah Lawrence College is walking distance, just up the hill. Getting AroundWe are a five minute walk from the Metronorth train station. (Yes, really five minutes. That's why we bought the house.) Metronorth will take you to Grand Central Station in Manhattan in 30 mins. or north to White Plains in 14 mins. Metronorth is not the same as the subway. Other Things to NoteThis is an old house we are gradually restoring. It is built on a small hill so, alas, is not disability friendly. You will need to negotiate steps and/or a sloping path to get into the house. On the plus side, we are the only house on a dead end road, so plenty of free street parking.

The SpaceBedroom with private en-suite bathroom. The room is upstairs in a private house, includes one full size and one single bed, desk, dresser, hanging closet, WiFi and Ethernet, Cable TV. Shared kitchen facilities downstairs. We are 5 minutes walk to Bronxville train station, where the Metronorth line will take you to midtown Manhattan in 27 minutes, or White Plains in 8 minutes. Bronxville is a very pretty village surrounding the station and is an easy walk. There are many shops and excellent restaurants. Also a Starbucks, CVS and a supermarket. You don't need a car to stay here because we are so close to the train, but there is plenty of free parking if you do drive. We are the only house on a dead end street, so no problem finding a spot. Sarah Lawrence College is a 5 minute walk in the opposite direction from the station. We have had fun entertaining a number of Sarah Lawrence parents, professors and students. One note, the house is built on an incline and, alas, not very disability- friendly. There are steps or a sloping driveway to access the house. We will gladly answer any other questions you might have. Guest AccessFull use of kitchen pots, pans, plates, etc. Space in the fridge, shelf to store food in kitchen. Use of living room and outside patio. Access to (small!) above ground pool in summer. Interaction with GuestsInteraction is entirely up to the guest. We are very social and love to entertain and hear about our guests, but also respect everyone's privacy. The NeighborhoodBronxville is a very quaint, pretty, safe village with most of the major amenities, including a movie theater, excellent restaurants, bars, Starbucks and two ice cream shops! Having Sarah Lawrence nearby gives it a college feel. It is also close to Manhattan for work or sightseeing with frequent trains to Grand Central. Getting AroundThe Metronorth train is a five minute walk from the house. It goes south to midtown Manhattan (Grand Central Station) and north to White Plains. Plenty of free parking. One way fare to Grand Central is $7.50. Other Things to NoteThis is an old house we are gradually restoring. It is built on a small hill so, alas, is not disability friendly. The campus is a five minute walk from the house. The area is sedate and very safe. Getting AroundThe Metronorth train station is a five minute walk from the house. It will take you to midtown Manhattan (Grand Central Station) in 30 minutes, or north to White Plains in 14 minutes. A one way fare to Manhattan is from 6 to 10 dollars, depending on time of day. The SpaceOur house is on a dead-end street in the lovely Fleetwood neighborhood of Mount Vernon. We love living here for the space and quiet it offers while at the same time being just minutes from the city. It is available while we are out of town, a handful of times throughout the year. The house is a 3br colonial built in 1927 and full of original detail. It has 1.5ba, formal dining room, finished basement with sleeper sofa, washer/dryer, and fenced backyard with gas grill. The master bedroom has a queen-sized Tempur-Pedic bed, the guest room has a regular queen-sized bed, and the third bedroom is a nursery that can be set up with a queen-sized aero-bed. There is also a sunroom with a piano if you are musically inclined, and a front porch sitting area for your morning coffee. Guest AccessGuests have access to the entire 3 bedroom home, including fenced back yard. There is a separate garage which guests do not have access to. Interaction with GuestsGuests gain access to the house via an outside lockbox. The NeighborhoodOur house is in a charming Westchester neighborhood that gives you a suburban experience with easy access to the city. Getting AroundThe house is conveniently located right on the Metro-North train line into Manhattan. The SpaceYou will really enjoy the access to NYC and also the fabulous local area with great restaurants and lovely ambiance. There is on street parking and also train transportation to Midtown NYC. Great for professionals and vacationers looking for a short term rental. It is also convenient to Sarah Lawrence and Concordia College, as well as Columbia and Fordham University. Getting AroundYou can walk to Fleetwood in 10 minutes or Bronxville train station and be in midtown Manhattan (Grand Central Station) for all the action and excitement of NYC . After enjoying your day, you can then come home to the peace and quiet of this chic neighborhood.

The SpaceLarge king sized bed in spacious bedroom. Your own bathroom has a large built in shower. Use of another bathroom, with tub, is also available. Kitchen, living room and wonderful patio are also available to guests although shared with me as I do live there full time. Guest AccessTHERE IS NO TV. WI-FI ACCESS IS WEAK. The kitchen may be used by guests. There is a pay laundry room in the building. Coffee etc. provided free of charge. Other amenities include all linens, bathrobe, soaps and hair dryer. Some snacks such as cookies or fruit are also usually available. CD player, DVD, VCR ( I love antiques!) are available to use in the living room. There are plenty of outlets in the bedroom for all of your phones, laptop etc. Interaction with GuestsI have had many guests over the past 5 years. I am always available. Sometimes I stay out at my moms - she's 92! - but am close so just a phone call away. If you would like information, I have loads as I am working on my tour guide license. A night cap and summary of your day is also always a nice way to end a day! The NeighborhoodThis is a quiet residential neighborhood. The nearby small business district has lots of restaurants, banks, grocery store etc. just 5 minutes walk away - it's really a beautiful little spot. Getting AroundThe commuter train south to NYC and north to White Plains and upstate NY is just a 5 minute walk away. The trip to Grand Central Station is 25 minutes and cost is about $15.00 r/t. It's a very comfortable ride to Midtown in Manhattan. Bus service to all of Westchester County is also very close. If you are driving, several highways converge here and you have quick access to the GWB to New Jersey and other bridges to Long Island or Upstate and the Northeast. This is very convenient location for travel by car or public transportation. Other Things to NoteYou will have a lot of help and a wealth of information for your visit. While the room is spotlessly clean it is by no means a sterile - as in 'boring' - environment. There is a lot of art, souvenirs from my many travels and personal effects as it is my full time home. I hope all guests will appreciate peeking into my personality as well as enjoying a comfortable place to lay your head at the end of the day.

          Home in Yonkers, NY for filming only. House is a yellow colonial farmhouse set on almost a half acre of a magnificently landscaped property. Our home has all the charm of an early 1900s farmhouse but has a completely updated interior. Modern kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances and an adjoining large family room with coffered ceilings. It has 3 bedrooms on the second floor and a finished attic space.

          My place is close to many fine and casual dining establishments and quaint shops in the town of Bronxville. The Bronxville Metro-North Station is a five minute walk from the appartment. The station is a 30 minute train ride into Grand Central Station. You’ll love my place because of of the ambiance, the light and the neighborhood. You can choose to explore the wonderful town of Bronxville, take a train into Manhattan, or walk along the picturesque Bronx River Greenway.
